Everything about this microwave saya a 5 star rating should be applied, except for one thing - the door opening function. It features a dual push button to open the door. It can be cumbersome and annoying, but you'll get used to it. That said, I can't see the logic for that design. Overall, however, a good product!

Looks great. Noisy. Mine was missing feet. Bought 4 LG microwaves over the years. Quality is meh. The turntable on the larger models kept breaking, so the plate wouldn't spin. This one has a more reliable setup, however the rolling frame under the glass tray is noisy and the wheels audibly drag inside the unit. There's substantially less sound deadening than my previous LG microwave of the same size. The epoxy coating on the inside is a gray color, but it doesn't seem as easy to clean as some other brand's coatings.
But it looks good, the door mechanism seems reliable, and it's pretty powerful. I don't use the smart features, so I feel like these drive up the price. I have noticed less EMF noise when using this unit vs the old one. Not sure what changed, but my wireless devices don't go on the fritz when using it. I also enjoy the button selection, though the tactility of the buttons could be improved. At least I can select 12 seconds cook time if I want to, which is honestly an improvement over the other microwaves. Why is it so hard to put number buttons that work well?
Powerful, sleek, and good feature set with buttons! But a little louder than the old one, quality control is meh.

Great design, perfect function, easy to set-up and use. Not a single complaint from the wife or kids. Works perfect every time. It also has an optional child safe lock that you can engage if needed.

We’ve had this microwave for a few weeks now. What I like is the size, it has good power, and the buttons are uncomplicated. What I don’t like is the “add 30 seconds” button is unclear where to push. And often doesn’t engage when I push the same spot. I feel like I have to hit a moving target. Would I buy it again? Probably. But I can’t endorse it completely.

Cooks evenly, not super loud. Only downside (not for me) is lack of unilluminated buttons. Has child secure lock as an great security addition and disabling it only requires a Philips. Would recommend!

I recently purchased the LG [model] microwave, and it has been excellent so far. It heats food quickly and evenly, and the sensor cook feature takes the guesswork out of reheating. The controls are simple to use, and the sleek design looks great in my kitchen. It’s also quieter than my old microwave and very easy to keep clean. Overall, a solid, reliable appliance that makes everyday cooking and reheating so much easier. Highly recommend!"

Like the child safety features overall performance is good easy to operate. Only real issue is that the electrical cord is shorter and not recommended for an extension cord. Would prefer if it had at least another 12-18 inches.

Nice unit as soon as I figured out all the settings. Very quiet too. Subtle little bell like it's trying to be polite. The child latch is easy as well as soon as you get used to it. Easy to keep clean. I recommend it.

I bought this particular microwave for the inverter feature and am quite pleased with how it works. Instead of on again/off again at lower setting it actually puts out a lower consistent power thereby heating the food much more evenly without boiling over as much or drying out the edges.
I am quite pleased with the microwave, but noticed a few things that could be improved.
When selecting a lower power setting there is no indication of this on the display. It makes you wonder if you hit the button sequence properly or if it is on full power by mistake.
I got used to pressing the buttons on my previous microwave very quickly, but on this one you must physically remove your finger from the touch pad to hit the same number twice. I think my previous microwave had a pressure pad while this one is more like a cellphone. I'm getting used to it.
Finally, the numbers on the touchpad are very hard to see at counter level. It would have been nice if they were backlit.
On a positive note, it is quite easy to get full power in 30 second increments by simply hitting one button multiple times.
Overall I'm quite pleased with this microwave and consider the issues above to be minor annoyances.

It looks great and works great. The only issue I have with this unit would be the touch buttons. I didn’t want to take away from the star rating because I think it’s a preference thing. I would prefer something more tactical. But besides that I love it.

This LG microwave is very nice, but not perfect. I shopped several online before making a decision. I like that this one is dark on the inside, not white, and has an easy clean surface. The turntable is removable for easy clean up. It's noticeably quieter than our previous Panasonic model while heating food. The chimes for the timer buttons and "DONE" alerts are delicate and charming. We can hear them anywhere near the kitchen, but not down the hall. This is a nice change for us because I don't have to worry about waking someone up if I want to get up early and use the microwave. There is a child safety lock that is automatically on when you open the box and set the microwave up. Since that is not a concern for us, we were able to easily turn that function off following simple instructions in the user guide that's included.
The ONLY drawback we have found is that the touchpad buttons are a little hard to push. They aren't "buttons", it's a panel. But we are having to press a little harder than expected, and with a little more focus to set the cook time. We can live with that, but I would suggest the manufacturer seriously look into why the touchpad buttons are not easier to set. It might be difficult for a child to use this microwave. Is that intentional?
This microwave came with a 1 yr manufacturer warranty, too. (10 yrs for the Magnetron) I still paid a little extra for the Geek Squad warranty so that I don't have to ship it back to the manufacturer if something goes wrong. Totally worth it.
