I recently purchased the LG [model] microwave, and it has been excellent so far. It heats food quickly and evenly, and the sensor cook feature takes the guesswork out of reheating. The controls are simple to use, and the sleek design looks great in my kitchen. It’s also quieter than my old microwave and very easy to keep clean. Overall, a solid, reliable appliance that makes everyday cooking and reheating so much easier. Highly recommend!"

Like the child safety features overall performance is good easy to operate. Only real issue is that the electrical cord is shorter and not recommended for an extension cord. Would prefer if it had at least another 12-18 inches.

It looks great and works great. The only issue I have with this unit would be the touch buttons. I didn’t want to take away from the star rating because I think it’s a preference thing. I would prefer something more tactical. But besides that I love it.

My son was moving into his first apartment and needed a medium sized counter-top microwave oven. We found this one on sale. It is the perfect size and has all the features he wanted for a very good price.

This LG microwave is very nice, but not perfect. I shopped several online before making a decision. I like that this one is dark on the inside, not white, and has an easy clean surface. The turntable is removable for easy clean up. It's noticeably quieter than our previous Panasonic model while heating food. The chimes for the timer buttons and "DONE" alerts are delicate and charming. We can hear them anywhere near the kitchen, but not down the hall. This is a nice change for us because I don't have to worry about waking someone up if I want to get up early and use the microwave. There is a child safety lock that is automatically on when you open the box and set the microwave up. Since that is not a concern for us, we were able to easily turn that function off following simple instructions in the user guide that's included.
The ONLY drawback we have found is that the touchpad buttons are a little hard to push. They aren't "buttons", it's a panel. But we are having to press a little harder than expected, and with a little more focus to set the cook time. We can live with that, but I would suggest the manufacturer seriously look into why the touchpad buttons are not easier to set. It might be difficult for a child to use this microwave. Is that intentional?
This microwave came with a 1 yr manufacturer warranty, too. (10 yrs for the Magnetron) I still paid a little extra for the Geek Squad warranty so that I don't have to ship it back to the manufacturer if something goes wrong. Totally worth it.

I am very happy with the functionality and power of this microwave. Opening the door again by pressing the special part of the front panel took a little getting used to after having an LG model that one pulled open on the right side. The various chimes that indicate that the food has just stopped heating or that it is waiting to be removed are very pleasant to the ear. It is amusing that the oven will cue you with the word "FOOD" if you set a cooking time and press start without putting any food into the oven. The oven interior is quite spacious, with a more-than-adequately-sized revolving glass tray of substantial weight and quality,
I disabled the button that makes door opening child-resistant because that feature is not needed in our home.
I like the fact that I can now set heating time in increments of single seconds; my last LG microwave only allowed ten-second increments.
I had some difficulty in setting the clock, having to unplug the oven when I discovered that I had inadvertently set the wrong time.
One change that I would make would be in the appearance of the oven: I prefer more stainless steel and less black in the front frame of the oven.

Great product. Been working very well.
The only thing I miss is the door handle. Don't really care for the push button to open on the side, but I will get used to it.
Overall, at very good product.

WOW !!! I would give this 100 stars if I could, I went through the frustration of pressing additional keys on other microwaves in order to deal with the child lock. I just want to use the microwave! I don't have children and I don't want to work my tail off every time I want to use the microwave. !! Finally, I found this LG Model: MSER1590S And I am so relieved and ecstatic. I even wrote a letter thinking the CEO of LG electronics.! Yes, I really did! (His name is Chris Jung At the Englewood Cliffs New Jersey location) THAT Shows how complete the irritated and frustrated I was at the stupid child lock blocking me out of my microwave again and again and again. Thank you, LG.! Just a simple turn of the screw with the Phillips head screwdriver and it is unlocked. Anyone who can use the lock. But those of us without do not need to be driven out of our minds by this child lock Waste of time and giant frustration! Thank you, thank you thank you for a fabulous simple microwave oven. YAY LG !!❤️

Good microwave, but wish it keeps chiming

I'll start with my biggest gripe - the "meal is done" chime stops playing after five minutes.
The chimes sound every 30 seconds or so, and they're not annoying, but if you got distracted or are just letting the food sit for a while, after 5 minutes, it stops chiming.
So the distracted person no longer has a reminder that there's food inside (no chimes and the light is off).
Parents who use the microwave to sterilize their baby bottles are supposed to leave them in there to sit for a few minutes. No chimes after 5 minutes can mean you forget to take them out until you need them, but then they're still wet.
I'd like to be able to let the chimes continue forever until the door is opened. For me, this cost one star - it's a problem, but not big enough to return it.
I like that this microwave's capacity is large enough to hold a dinner plate, yet the external dimensions are perfect for the space between my stove and wall (where my previous microwave was).
A smaller drawback is that you can't customize or disable the energy efficiency feature - the light will turn off after five minutes, if you leave the door open. That dark inside is how I knew my previous microwave needed to be replaced.
I'd buy this again, but I'd prefer a model (or brand) that keeps chiming to let me know there's something inside the microwave.

Pretty great! Stylish and cute. It has a child lock available for opening the door, and it even has a musical tune in place of the typical microwave beep. I will say that the buttons are a little hard to push sometimes (touch instead of tactile), but overall I'm happy with it.

We bought this to replace an older unit. It’s solid and gets the job done and has the brightest inside light I’ve ever seen in any microwave I’ve ever used in the past. Setting the clock is a pain though since you have to unplug it to reset it, but I don’t personally consider that a deal breaker.

Love the new LG Microwave ! The button sound is fun and when its finishes heating up your food the tune it pays is not blaring at you but a sweet little tune that makes you smile and yes it works great also ! I love LG products because my washer that I bought years ago at Sears here in Santa Barbara plays a fun tun when it finishes the cycle : ))) Thank You Best Buy foe selling a great Micro Wave to me ..Also the side safety button that must be pushed in order to open the door is a plus for grandchildren safety : ) This product is fantastic and pretty in Black
