Great product at reasonable price. Easy to clean and goes well with other stainless steal appliances

We bought this microwave in December of 2013 for our new home but didn't start using it until March of 2014. At the end of January 2015, 11 months after we started using it, the unit quit working. The controls and everything work fine, it acts like it is working but it just won't heat anything. We contacted customer service and we were told, correctly, that it is out of warranty. I can't hold that against them. However, I am very disappointed in the quality of this product. It should not fail after less than a year of use. I will be replacing this microwave but it will not be with an LG. Experience says they produce poor quality products. Beware.

Works well. I like the darker color interior. Cons: Popcorn setting isn't long enough Hard to see numbers and buttons on keypad (I actually painted a tiny white arrow on the keypad pointing at the 30 second button)

Bought on 8/30/15. Less than 4 months later and the light is out and the controls are quirky! No way to replace light LG says, we must get another unit. Tells us to buy it and they will reimburse our original purchase price in 6-8 weeks... But only if we buy LG again of course. We had to jump through hoops calling, waiting on hold, sending them our purchase information, waiting 2 weeks for their decision and this is how they handle it!! Our first microwave was a RadarRange, lasted 30+ years. Second was a Panasonic, lasted 13 months---yeah 1 month past warranty! Now this. Really??? Is technology going down hill?? And to top it off, where the he11 are the instructions for reheating leftovers? Oh wait, "it's not programmed to do that"!!! So lame!

1100 W or higher is the way to go. Great microwave for the price and stylish look.

The microwave is solid and works well for almost a year. The stainless steel style looks modern and neat. I would recommend it.

I bought this microwave specifically for the sensor reheating/cooking ability similar to the older 2003 microwave I have in our rv. In the older unit I just put the food in (hot dog, casserole, etc), hit sensor reheat and it does a perfect job. The LG only sensor reheats/cooks 6 specific foods; I can't just put any food in there and let it figure it out. I've tried reheating foods not on the list using the selections provided and it hasn't worked once - it's over cooked every time. So the sensor cooking is not, in my opinion, true sensor cooking - it's cheating by making some timing decisions based on the 6 food groups. The advertising was misleading and I'm extremely unhappy with the purchase.

I am thinking of returning this microwave because I can't see the buttons. I had to a put a flashlight next to the microwave. Also I don't see "reheat" button. Other than these things I like it, especially the ability to save energy button.

The microwave works as expected. It is rated 1100 watts, whereas my old one was only 1000. You can tell the difference. My complaints like others, is the dark interior - even with the light on. But particularly the touchpad controls. At night they are nearly invisible. And they are small too. I have grabbed a flashlight to help with programming in the evening. I did not see the problem in the store, because it is very well lit there.

The only issue i have like almost everyone else is a hard to read display, but not a huge deal. Otherwise a 5 star Microwave

Nice microwave with a lot of features and rounded back inside. Large turntable. My only complaint is that the display is black face with very dim white text and no backlight. I have it on a shelf and it is impossible to read the display without a flashlight or getting a few inches away from the screen. I ended up getting a small magnetic work light to use when I want to use the microwave.

I purchased as it seemed like a good deal. After I purchased worked like a champ for 13 months. After 13 Months of regular use (maybe once a day) it would work every third or fourth time. What I mean is sometimes it would light up and cook other times nope. This went on for a week or so then nothing. I reached out to LG Help and they stated that it sounded like a faulty wire and as I live in the Dallas Fort Worth area they stated to contact their repair center in Dallas. I called them and they stated they didn't fix Microwaves and that it was out of the warranty so I was out of luck.

This microwave oven is the first stainless steel appliance I have ever owned and it looks great. Easy to clean with lots of automatic controls available. Highly recommend for the price.

I bought lg believing it has been a tried and tested brand but now realize I should have went to review sites and did more research. Many people have had this fail from 1 mth to 2 years. I have normally replaced a microwave because I would like more power, better cooking or more room inside. Out of 5 not 1 lasted less than 8 yrs except this 1. Really disappointed and will not Buy another lg. Curious enough we are in the market for new washer and dryer and I was positive I was going to buy lg, well that has since changed. We will be checking for other brands.

Display panel is unlit and much too dark to see the functions of this appliance. I called LG customer service and inquired if it can be retrofitted with a lighting function or a different display face with lighter colored characters and was advised that it can't.

Nothing sexy about microwave ovens, but this definitely meets my requiremwnts

The first thing that stopped working was the inside light. I was ok with it because it would still warm things. Then it would quit heating halfway through warming. It only worked a little over a year. Keep your receipt and take it back as soon as the light does not come on when the door is opened.

We had a limited amount of space for put a microwave. This microwave is compact but have a large feel to it. It was exactly what we were wanting.

Needed standard microwave for office - this fits great!
