This could be the ideal microwave - good looking, quiet, big turntable - except for one huge flaw: the controls on the front panel are so dim it is extremely hard to see them! Especially if the microwave doesn't sit in direct sunlight which was my case. I was all the more appalled that the pictures online and even on the package are deceptive: those controls are NOT white, they are grayish. I had to use a flashlight to find the EZ-On quick 30 second button! I gave up and returned it the next day.

Great when it worked but now the door won't open. tried unplugging/plugging back in, turning child lock on/off multiple times and still won't open. Push the open button and it just goes all the way in without unlatching the door. This one is going in the garbage, a waste of $140 and I'm going to go buy a GE or other american brand.

I expected more from an LG product. The stainless steel sheet metal of the outer cabinet was shipped from the factory with a protective vinyl covering. Instructions on the cabinet indicated the consumer must remove this vinyl cover before use. I found it very difficult to remove this cover and in fact some of it is still on the microwave. Another problem the control panel is very difficult to read because it is too dark. It should be back lighted.

This microwave did not work right out of the box. I did all of the trouble shooting things- none of which worked. I called customer service. They walked me through a few things, but ultimately said it was not working and to find a service center (on my own) as it was under warranty. Really? It's brand new and doesn't work. I don't think that constitutes a warranty repair- it warrants a refund. Either way I have to pack it up and schlepp it somewhere. Not what I signed on for.

If I had read the reviews, I wouldn't have bought this microwave. I hate it! As has already been posted, the controls aren't backlit and the numbers are too dark to see. The trash men just took the box it came in or I'd take it back to Best Buy.

Too bad it malfunctioned just after two years. One evening, when I opened the microwave door, after heating a beverage, the microwave started running again. This wasn't a just a quirk as it continues to do so unless you unplug it first. Obviously I will have to replace it. LG hasn't been of any help since it's beyond the 1 yr. warranty period.

We bought this in early 2015 and it just stopped working. The keypad is difficult to read but that's easy to forgive if it would just work for more than 1.5 years. Very disappointed in LG putting out a product of such poor quality. We will be shopping for a refrigerator as well... Will definitely steer clear of all LG products.

I've never had a microwave die on me but this p.o.s did. It appears that the circuit board went out. LG's warranty is a joke. They want me to buy another LG AND then they will reimburse me for the original unit. Why would I buy another one? Good thing I kept my 7 year old Sharp....

Good while it lasted. Quit after 11 months. I was luckier than some others, still under warranty. But....here is my "Warranty": I must purchase another LG microwave, then send them a copy of my receipt, a copy of the serial number tag from my non-working micowave (peeled off, cut in half, and attached to the email letter they sent me!!!), then wait 2 to 4 weeks for them to process it and refund my original purchase price. The same microwave now is $40 higher than the price I paid for it. So I will spend $200 out of my pocket, and wait a month for a $150 refund. I have already spent a week waiting on their email giving my permission to go buy another LG to replace it. I have no feasible choice other than buying an LG to replace it. But this will certainly be the last LG appliance I buy. btw, my 55" LG TV had to have warranty repairs too!!

Stopped working after less than a year. Disappointment

The words and symbols on the keypad are too small and it is not back lite to be able to see. The only way I could operate the oven was to use a flashlight. I am 63 and need reading glasses, but I have never seen such a poor design. When I called LG customer service to ask how to turn on the back lite they said it was not lit and they would be addressing this problem with future models as many others had complained. Returning it to store and getting a GE from Amazon. BB is out of stock.

The microwave stopped heating, the light and timer still works.

Bought this microwave on April 2, 2016 it died July 28, 2016. Once on it stops after 15 seconds and then sporadically comes back on. Called LG and troubleshooting confirmed it was irreparable. Was told to submit receipt for refund. Email I received from LG stipulates I must purchase a new LG microwave for refund. Are they kidding me? What fool would do that? What a waste of $184.

Loved it for about 2 months. Then the power quality went down hill. Its not heating evenly and it takes a lot longer to warm food up. Its past the return period so I'm stuck with a disappointing junk. Don't buy!

Picked up at best buy & drove to FMB only to realize part that causes glass tray to spin was missing. Called best buy & was told rudely to call the manufacturer or I could return it. No compensation & a half hearted apology. I am returning it and going elsewhere moving forward
