The numbers are hard to read because of low lighting.

It is a good microwave that does what it nerds to do

I read the reviews and saw that this was an issue but didn't, think it would be as bad as it is. You really can't see the controls. Maybe LG can come up with an adhesive screen to put over it. Love the microwave but the screen is terrible.

This oven is actually pretty good except for one thing: The labels on the buttons are hard to read. Under the store lights, it was barely passable. This deficiency alone is enough for me to bring this back to the store.

I had to replace my other microwave after ten years and the microwave's today have changed. Smaller inside's and less feature's to cook with. It seems they are more concerned with how they look outside than how they cook inside.

I bought it, unpacked it at home, and put it on my counter. The black key pad was so very hard to read, I took it back the next day. I never even tried it.

This microwavve works well,but,the numeric controls are hard to see and often times the door does not close securely.

Instructions a bit unclear on operation but eventually figured out most of it. Display panel has dark numbers on a black background that is unlit. Must be very close to see numbers at all.

We could not read the lablels by the push buttons without a bright light and maybe a magnifying glass. Design engineers should be concerned with practical usability rather than some estoteric criteria about how neat it looks.

My wife and I are extremely disappointed in not being able to read the directory display on the front of this microwave oven. The display is too dark to read without a magnifying glass. Only the "time" remains lighted. There needs to be a light behind the directory display that can be turned on when using this microwave oven.

It dose a good job cooking, But the key pad is hard to see at night time. Other than that I like it.

Nice size, runs quiet. Problems: TRULY frustrating and annoying >30 minutes spent tediously removing plastic over wrap on the entire exterior. Someone from customer. Service / QA should attempt that, and then decide to revise manufacturer specs. What a royal pain. Another annoyance, the keypad doesn't light up, so lettering and numbers, menu buttons are difficult to read, when on stand at waist height.

I regret buying this microwave. It is not user friendly especially for THE ELDERLY. THE KEY PAD IS VERT HEARD TO SEE. YOU CANT SEE THE OPTIONS TO SELECT CLEARLY. IT SHOULD BE ELUMENSTED FOR U TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE SELECTING. DEFINATELY GOING TO RETURN IT!!!!

When setting up the microwave, there was a sticker on the front that could not be removed. It was retjurned to the store for a 2nd one....the Best Buy techs could not remove the sticker form the 2nd one,, either. Purchase was not made.

I would not buy this , can't see the lit up screen! It is very,very dim!!

Microwave was OK before it broke. It lasted 9 months. I do not recommend it if you are looking for any kind of value for money.

Could not see the controls in kitchen light. I returned it unused.

This is exactly the microwave I wanted. It has all the features I looked for: simple, straight-forward controls and operation WITH plenty of options for more complex cooking, easy-to-clean interior, lighted interior (when door open, and during operation), solid door-latch mechanism, nicely-finished exterior, and relatively strong cooking temperatures for a 1100W mic. This replaces a COMPLETE FAIL - a Panasonic 1200W with similar features; the Panasonic latch failed just after warranty ended, and I found Panasonic customer service to be completely worthless and rude, and they will not support their products. Frustrating, since they have always been at the top for reviews, and I've owned only Panasonic mics my entire life (3 of them), they've gotten steadily worse in dependability with every one I've purchased. Now, it looks like I have a replacement with a company that makes a much better product! I'm thrilled. Go LG.

I agree with the other reviewers who said that the keypad is hard to read, and I wish it had more one-touch features. But I don't think those are deal breakers. Otherwise, the oven is large- and powerful-enough for general use, and I like the rounded cavity (makes for easy cleaning). It hasn't given me any trouble, and I've used it pretty heavily for a month.
