I got it delivered to our local best buy to save on shipping. Everything was smooth and I am very satisfied. To take full advantage of the 300 cfm exterior venting you will need 10" DIA piping, otherwise you will be limited by the smaller pipe like me. I have 4" piping, so I am only getting 40 cfm. Great microwave!!!

I installed this microwave yesterday, and it looks great with our other LG stainless appliances in the kitchen. The buttons are easy and responsive. The most fabulous part is how much quieter it is than our 2-year-old GE that was up there previously - during cooking and exhaust operations. There is only 1 light underneath to shine on range top but since it's positioned in the middle, it provides plenty of light. The only complaint I have heard so far is that while we were cooking something on the stove burner directly under the location of the handle on the microwave, the steam that rose up caused the metal handle on the microwave to be hot to the touch - we had to use an oven mitt to grab it. I guess that is an inconvenience we can live with so that the overall appearance of the kitchen is uniform.

The door knob connection wasn't strong enough. it's over the range, but the door knob connection can't resist the heat and melted.

Very Happy with this LG microwave purchase. This replaced a 14 year old GE over-the-range unit. Newer GE units at this price level have bad reviews for reliability. The two other reviews of this LG unit had out-of the box failures. Possibly due to rough shipping. My unit has no issues. This LG is great. Easy install above the range,(about 65 minutes going slow). 1000 watts output (the GE had 700). Great features on control panel and that great LG reliability. This unit is used about 15 times per day. Only had it about 1 month, will update review later. Turntable can not be turned off while cooking, and it does not have a separate timer function. Let's see if it lasts 13-14 years like the old GE.

This microwave replaced my 19 year old Whirlpool which is still in working condition. Easy installation (with help), simple features & elegant (for the price). Would recommend it to those who are looking for something that is cost effective, easy maintenance and has the basic features !

The install was a little bit of a pain, but I assume it is for all over the range microwaves. I replaced a cheap GE one that is still sold today which barely lasted 3 years (cheapest GE over the range microwave, has horrible reviews). It's a microwave that works so far. It doesn't have the timer, but my stove has one so that is no big deal, just surprising.

Best Buy came through. After 4 attempts of locating a microwave at Best Buy, and receiving an email stating the the one purchased was not in the store, this one is great! Very quiet, evenly cooks, heats quick, great light and exhaust fan.

Replaced a Frigidaire that had been in the house for about 10 yrs, the install of this unit was a breeze, just trim down the ouside edges of the template like you were back in kindergarden and you are good to go! After using it for about a month now it has been doing just fine, I was a little sketchy at first when I saw the picture online but once I saw it in the store I was sold, the handle is plastic but thats a good call on LG's part, since stainless has a nasty habit of leaving prints, LG placed stainless in the places you want stainless (ie, where you dont touch it# and did not put stainless in places you would #handle, keypad), the cook time is just as fast at the 1100 watt Frigidaire it replaced and it is not any louder while cooking. One thing I especially like about this one is that you can just enter the time you want to cook without having to push "time" or "cook" or any other button before you put the time in, and it still has the 30 sec feature which can add on to time or start for 30 sec. Overall it has the features that make it easy to use and the simplicity of the old school microwaves, even though I'm only 28 some things shouldn't change from the way they were about 20yrs ago, which includes microwave features. The fan is not very loud and after reading one persons review of the filter dropping out I think that was user error, you do need to make sure they are "snapped" in place but after that you have to force them out cause it is snug. Good features, GREAT price, not very noisy, simply but not lacking in features, and the only thing that I would say could be improved is a 2 stage light, but it doesn't get used very often so no big deal there

We purchased this microwave Memorial Day 2013. It completely died January 2015. Really not worth the repair sadly. Cheaper just to replace. We really missed the lack of a timer on this model. Did not buy another LG microwave model. We want something that lasts longer than 1 1/2 years.

Only had this item a month, but I do like it for an inexpensive microwave. Runs quite enough, but I miss it not having to speeds on the exhaust fan. It only has a high feature. I miss having a stainless interior only because it looks richer, but the white plastic interior of this one is still easy to clean. Overall for a inexpensive micro I am pleased.

We purchased this LG microwave as part of a set in July 2014. After only 18 months the turntable stopped working and the microwave will not heat anything. Our household has only two people and the microwave get a moderate amount of use. We now have to call in a repair company for an expensive repair or replacement. I had better hopes that LG brand would last at least as long as our prior GE Microwaves (averaged 10 years each) No such luck.

This item is pretty nice for the look and value of an LG. It can be a bit on the noisy side but that doesnt bother me at all. Only issue i've had is the middle steel shelfcame loose from the bracket once when I was re-heating something causing it to spark and leave a burn mark on the inside. Overall It's a great item for the price.

I looked at the product information on line which indicates that this microwave has a timer. After installing and plugging in, I discovered that there is no timer in the microwave. Very disappointed. Needs to be as described.

I have been using this microwave now for almost 8 months. It does a fine job cooking the foods that I use it for, although like most people I don't really use it to it's fullest extent. The absence of a timer function on the microwave is annoying. My previous over-the counter microwave (another brand) had a useful time, and I really miss it. I also am not happy with the very dim light from the under-microwave lamp provides. The proprietary light bulb type means I have no options to use a different type of bulb. This bothers me every time I try to use that light.

We bought this microwave 2 1/2 years ago and were initially pleased. But the vent fan might as well not exist unless you enjoy the sound so that was a bummer. Then, this week, the turntable stopped turning & the microwave stopped heating though the light still comes on, the clock works & the motor runs like it's doing something even though it doesn't. I called LG's service line & was told I could get it repaired by their service people for $390 (comes with 1-year warranty) or $283 (comes with a 2-month warranty). Seriously???? That's more than we paid for it. We will be junking this microwave & buying a replacement that is another brand.

We bought this microwave in july, 2014, quit working Jan 2016, therefore lasted 18 months. Was working great, then suddenly turntable will NOT TURN & NO HEAT. Will not buy another LG.
