Good basic microwave but if you are looking for other features don't trust the info provided. They come from the LG site and are not accurate. Turn table doesnt turn off as listed for one.

This microwave replaced a Frigidaire we had that lasted 10 years. This LG only lasted just over 3 years. It says 10 year warranty on magnetron but the service isn't included and costs more than we paid for the unit. For some reason this LG heated up the ceramic mugs and bowls more than the Frigidaire making them very hot when removing. This LG will continue beeping regularly if you don't remove your dish right away, like after 15 seconds so it gets annoying.

We purchased this product because it fit our available space. The product specs indicated that it had a timer, which is nowhere to be found. Installation instructions were inadequate, especially the installation of the grease filters. Had to call the manufacturer for clarification. Filters are flimsy and bend easily. One filter continually falls out due to vibrations of door opening and closing. Had to fight with the manufacturer to get replacements after one broke. We were originally told they would be replaced, but when they never arrived and we called again we were told it was beyond the (less than adequate) 30 day warranty and the claim was denied. We were not notified of this until our second call. After speaking with a supervisor, they agreed to replace the filters at no cost. New ones are still flimsy and difficult to install. Not confident that the problem has been resolved.

Broke in 18 months ... twice

We purchased this microwave in April of 2014, installed in mid May of 2014. In April of 2015, it stops heating. We smelled something burning from it. Called LG Customer Service. They sent someone out and they ordered parts. Parts arrived, the tech showed up and told us that LG sent the wrong parts. Had to order another one. Arrived and installed. All these took 6 weeks. No. I am not exaggerating. Today, it broke again. Definitely disappointed with LG at the moment with the quality. Because I am out of warranty, I am SOL. Paid over $250 for the microwave that lasted 18 months. I cannot recommend this product and company to anyone. Customer service from LG is not helpful at all. They did provide me a couple of number that I can call for service but it was on me to pay for it. But at your own risk.

Woks ok. I noticed the door may easily not close all the way unless I push down slightly. It seems like this may cause trouble. I went to check the inside filter by removing to two screws that hold the top vent and there was a warranted card floating around in there.
The grease filters for the bottom are missing in the box along with any user manual.

The second microwave received three weeks ago is working fine. My experience buying the microwave was not very pleasant. After installing the first one received, I had to uninstall it and return it to the store as it did not work. If I was using a handyman, he would have charged me double installation fee.

We purchased three kitchen appliances (refrigerator, range, and microwave) from the Arundel Mills Maryland store on Sat., 4/6 and scheduled all three to be installed on Fri., 4/12. The day before installation, the third party vendor installing the range (gas) called to confirm the time frame they would be coming. Never heard anything about the refrigerator or microwave. I took a day off of work to have everything installed and the morning of installation I received an email (no phone call) that my refrigerator and microwave have been rescheduled for the following Tues., 4/16. REALLY, changing the delivery date without consulting me and having to take another day off of work! I called the Best Buy Corporate office, Customer Care and told them about the problem. She was able to get the refrigerator installed that day, however, I was told the microwave was on back order and rescheduled that to be delivered on Sat., 4/20. Friday, 4/19 I received an email rescheduling the microwave with no explanation of why. So, I called the corporate office again and she had the manager of the store call me and he said the microwave was out of stock, but they could get me another one. I said I wanted this one because it fit the space – it can’t be any bigger. Miraculously, they found an LG microwave that I wanted and scheduled delivery/installation for Saturday 4/20. The contractor arrived Saturday morning, uninstalled and hauled away my old microwave and installed the new microwave. He had me test a glass of water for 1 minute and it worked. We did not use the microwave for the rest of the day, as we were not home. The next day, I heated two items in the microwave and it stopped working. It no longer heated anything, was loud and vibrated. Called the corporate office first thing the next morning and she asked me what she could do to make this right. I told her come and get the microwave and refund my money. I don’t want another thing from Best Buy. We scheduled the uninstall for Saturday, 4/4. The contractor showed up but said he was not there to uninstall the microwave, just to inspect it. Then shortly after he left, the truck from Best Buy arrives to pick up the microwave that was supposed to be uninstalled. This has been a complete nightmare. Supposedly, they are coming this Friday, 4/10 to uninstall and take away the microwave. In the meantime, I have no microwave and can’t schedule a new one to be installed until the old on is gone. Plus, they still have my money. I can’t get a refund until the microwave is returned. Worst Buy, not Best Buy.

Bought this microwave exactly 2 years ago and it doesn't work at all and LG won't back it up. They should back up their product. It's only 2 years old and only used it to warm up food only. Total piece of garbage. Will not buy anything this company makes from here on. A tech wants 200 bucks to fix it unbelievable!!

This microwave arrived with a chipped turntable and the door makes a low pitched grinding sound upon opening. It is also VERY loud compared to our previous GE over the range microwave. We would love to return it however were not aware when we picked it up at a Best Buy Store after purchasing it online that the return period is 15 days! This is ridiculous as we didn't even install it until about a week after we picked it up. I really hate this product and will not be shopping at Best Buy again with its poor return policy. (We have been purchasing appliances there for 17 years but no more)!

I installed this unit just over 3 years ago, and now the magnetron is turning off and on when the unit is running. It looks like a component got somewhat fried. A microwave should hold up for at least 10 years without major issues. Prior to that the turntable would intermittently start moving in a jerking motion, and then it would correct itself.

The best thing about this microwave was the holes matched up to my other microwave. I was able to just pop it in the wall. It is very simple to do if you measure where your old holes were. I did not have to pay for installation. It works great and cooks food as expected.

I've been using this unit for only over a month and it stopped heating. It's out of the BestBuy returns period so I can not return it. To make matters worse, LG came in to repair it and they told us they need to replace a part but we have to hire someone to take the unit down from the wall because they said it is not their responsibility. I would NOT RECOMMEND this product.

I purchased the microwave on internet as an open box item. It was suppose to be in "EXCELENT" condition. To me that mean it can be used and maybe has a couple small items that are not perfect, but basically a new unit. When the item arrived, it was missing two lag screws which I can pick up from the hardware store and the blower had been reconfigured for wall venting . This required the removal of 2 big sheet metal plates for the air to vent out of the back which are missing. I could expect that from an open box item and with an hours work, I can configure the fans properly and close off the holes left by the missing plates. The big item missing was the rear mounting bracket to hang the unit over the stove. The unit is not usable without this part. LG is sending me the part under warrantee but will take 10 days to get here. BestBuy was unwilling to credit me $25 for all the extra work I had to do because BestBuy misrepresented this item as "EXCELENT". I am now an ex-customer.
