The kitchen timer is the second most often used function of this microwave (at least in my house) and this item does not have it. I get it, everything in my kitchen has a timer, and LG saved $0.12 per unit by omitting it from the low end models, but as this is positioned over the stove it was very convenient to have that function right there in my face. Otherwise it works fine.
