    The product works fine. I was distressed by the installation. Installers did not bring a step stool with them. I didn't mind letting them use mine but it is unprofessional to not be prepared for the job. The new microwave installation required new holes to be drilled. The inside of the cabinet was chipped beyond the fender washer. When asked if they had no self-stick covers to hide the chip and holes I was told they did not because Best Buy wouldn't provide any.

    Known issue - should not be selling this microwave

    I’ve had this microwave six months and the interior light bulb has gone out. This is a known issue for this microwave, and it is apparently the LED board that needs replacing. The microwave needs to be removed from the wall as access to the LED board and light bulb are through the top of the microwave. My builder friend warned me of LG, and I bought it anyway. Bad news. Additionally, it does not seem to be heating as quickly as it was when I first got it; have to add time to it. Of course, I have no way to test this.

    LG Review (not Best Buy)

    We will never buy a LG appliance again. Clearly, they don’t stand behind their product or the support they offer their customers through their own standard manufacturer’s warranty. We didn’t purchase any extended protection plans, but we were happy to learn that LG offers a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. Per LG, parts and labor are part of that which we were very happy to learn. I made my first phone call to the LG customer support team on 10/6/2024. They scheduled a 3rd party repair company to come out and fix the unit on 10/10/2024. The tech was unable to make the repair but assured us he would let LG know so they could either get a replacement microwave or at least the parts he believed was needed to fix it. No one from LG ever reached back out. We called LG to follow up and was asked to call back Monday 10/21 which I did. They told me another tech would need to come out despite me telling them that the previous tech suggested we needed certain parts or a new unit. Despite that feedback, they said the 3rd party repair company would reach out to schedule with us. That never happened either so I got on the LG website and wrote a letter which resulted in LG assigning a "Presidential Liaison" person who told me they would work this through to resolution. I was asked to provide proof of purchase and serial # of the unit which I did. I was told those things had been added to my file. It's now been a week and despite us reaching back out to this contact, we've not heard back. My family has gone 4 full weeks with no microwave and no solution. This has been a very disappointing experience to say the least. Because of this experience, we decided to buy a new microwave from a different manufacturer and we will not be buying LG products again.
