Stylish, powerful, and super practical for everyday use The LG 1.8 cu. ft. over-the-range microwave is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. Right away, the sleek stainless steel design stands out—it looks modern, resists fingerprints, and really upgrades the overall feel of the space. Performance-wise, it delivers exactly what you want. The 1.8 cu. ft. capacity is perfect for larger dishes, and the sensor cooking feature takes the guesswork out of heating and cooking by automatically adjusting time and power. Whether it’s reheating leftovers or cooking something more involved, it consistently produces even results. One of the best features is the EasyClean interior—it actually works. Spills and splatters wipe away easily without scrubbing or harsh chemicals, which makes a big difference for everyday convenience. The built-in vent fan is also solid and does a good job clearing smoke and odors while cooking. The controls are intuitive, and if you go with the smart version, the app connectivity adds a nice bonus for remote control and syncing with other LG appliances. I just installed this unit myself yesterday. It was replacing an existing over the range microwave and installation took less than 2 hours working by myself. We also did not have any exterior venting connections which also simplified the installation. Making sure I had the template lined up correctly made hanging the microwave much easier because everything fit perfectly on the first attempt to hang the unit up. This microwave is heavy but I was able to hang it by myself. We currently have Kenmore Elite stainless steel appliances with black trim. I was worried this unit wouldn't match but it looks great! Once installed you just plug it in and it's ready to use. We use the quick 30 second button the most, which this has. It also has express cook where number 1-6 will start the unit with 1-6 minutes depending on which you press. The Wi-Fi installation took a few tries for me. I would recommend you first create an LG account in the LG app on your smartphone since this is required for setup. We have Eero routers and the next step is to temporarily disable 5Ghz if you have a similar mesh setup. Once that is done follow the instructions in the app to setup the microwave and it should work smoothly. I initially forgot to turn off 5Ghz and the microwave was having trouble communicating. Overall we are very happy with how this unit looks and works. I had read complaints in other reviews about the chime but I don't find it more or less pleasant than our previous unit that just beeped. If you don't open the door after cooking is finished it will continue to play the chime every 30-60 seconds until you do. Our old microwave did the same thing but with beeps only and can get "annoying" if you walked off to do something else during cooking but it's also a nice reminder you have something in there. I certainly wouldn't avoid this microwave due to the chime.

I needed a new OTR microwave after my LG died after only 6 years. I found this unit at a Best Buy close by. It was an open box and they said it was in excellent condition. NOT! There was a serious dent that I had to straighten before I could mount it. One of the mounting nuts was not in the chassis, but I found it in the box. So, I had to remove the entire cover to replace the nut. And, the mounting bracket was missing entirely. Fortunately, the bracket that I had fit the new unit. I shouldn't have had to go through all this for a unit in an "excellent" condition. I finally got it installed and it's working so far. I regret getting an open box, but I needed it in a hurry, and buying a new unit was going to take some time to get it delivered. Lesson learned: Inspect all open-box items before taking them out of the store. I hope this LG microwave lasts longer than 6 years.

Installed and using for ~3 weeks. Aesthetically, it looks upscale and will make you want to upgrade other older appliances. Functionally it works great and is quieter than my previous LG unit. My only gripe is the crappy under bottom light. I changed this to a daylight led light. Much better!

I don't have a negative thing to say about this product. Looks great above our new LG oven and it has a lot of useful features. It's easy to use and there is a lot of room inside without looking bulky on the outside.

Very nice overall. Very quiet. The sensor cooking is basically magic. Pretty simple to install as well provided you're replacing an existing over-the-range microwave. Only annoyance is that you have to link it to an app on your phone to turn off the beeps.

Our Samsung microwave gave up the ghost after 5 years. We got this LG model and are thrilled. Itis so much quieter, as large as our old Samsung, and was less expensive that what we paid for the prior one. The display is sharper, very easy to use.

Microwave works great and was not too difficult to install. It is the perfect size and improves the look of our kitchen compared to the older bulky one we replaced it with.

Purchased this LG Microwave on 4/4/2023. It was a direct fit which replaced my worn out 14 year old microwave. I like the 2 fan exhaust fans, but would like to have more light below and in the microwave, but its all good. This LG cooks faster than my old one. Still exploring the settings/options it has. I like the notifications letting you know your food is ready. You can scan a barcode and it will adjust cooking settings for that item. Still have to investigate it. I will update in 1 month. Overall, excellent so far.

Overall amazing microwave. Easy to install (husband is an electrician) and easy to use. Only downfall is if you have kids get used to cleaning the front of it daily lol. Not fingerprint proof.

This microwave is easy to use and offers tremendous features. I would recommend it to anyone needed this type of unit.

The selection of this built-in microwave was easy and efficient. The BB employee who helped me was extremely knowledgeable and provided the right amount of guidance as the selection was made. He also scheduled us for installation on a Saturday morning which was most convenient because we both work. The install team arrived early (excellent!!!) and were both competent and clean with their work (which involved making some mess when drilling). The microwave is quite good but worthy of a few comments. First, the control panel (touch panel) is a fingerprint/grease magnet. We're constantly wiping the heck out of it because it just attracts gook. And it seems like this unit isn't as strong or efficient as we would have expected, moving up from a very small and old countertop version. We expected this to be a cooking beast, handling even small jobs (warming up cans of soup) quickly, but we find ourselves adding time to almost every job. We just have to adjust our expectations (and cooking time) which isn't the end of the world.

This is a very nice microwave. It is very easy to use. Has a lot of features and a decent capacity. The black stainless steel looks vey nice also. Very happy with the purchase. The price through Best Buy was exceptional and being we combined it with an Lg Range, we saved a significant amount of money. Very happy over all.
