    The auto-sensor/auto-reheat calculations are spot-on. It takes a dish from frozen to table without under or over cooking. Popcorn pops well, but it does require about 20-seconds more than the auto-timer affords (and, with those 20 extra seconds, there are about 4 unpopped kernels)

    Decent Countertop Microwave

    This microwave has decent power and options for a countertop microwave. Although it is a little bulky so you should make sure you have enough room for it. My one grip is that it is not very bright inside, the small light bulb and dark interior lends itself to a dim inside. Other than that it works great.

    Lasted 18 months. Looking for a quality product and purchased the LG microwave but I could spent less money for the time it worked. The beeps and lights came on but did not heat or turn the table. I will not purchase LG products.

    While it worked for 14 months, it worked great. No complains for a family of 6. Now, the lights on, microwave countdowns but no heat whatsoever. Looks like a door switch program and in the americas, that costs 60 -90 bucks including labor. trashing this and getting a new one.

    Look no further for a microwave. Remodeled kitchen with LG products. All products are top of the line performers. Liked the black stainless steel version for my kitchen. I'll bet you will too.

    Got it for the office in September and was broken by November. Every time I close the door it automatically turns on for no reason. I open the door it turns off. Would take 3 weeks to have it sent away for repair. Quite frankly if I pay this much for a microwave I don't want it repaired, I want a new one. They can repair it on their own time. An office without a microwave for lunches for 3 weeks is a bad deal. Not getting another LG microwave any time soon.

    "Life's Good"... unless you want customer service

    We are on our second unit of this model in the same as many days. The first one was had a point-like dent in stainless on the door. There was no sign of damage to the box to indicate where it came from. The second one we have sitting here has the stainless on the door misaligned, a scratch in the glass and a scuff on the hinge side of the door. Shame on me for not opening it all the way up in the store (I did open it to feel for any dents, but didn't remove the thin foam wrap). Now I must say, the service at Best Buy was outstanding, it is the service from LG that is horrific. I called and spoke to the LG customer service, explained my situation and asked if a replacement door could be sent versus going through the hassle again to package everything up and take it into the store. The rep gave me a long speech about how diagnostics would need to be done to determine who was at fault and whether it was a mfg defect or not. I explained to him exactly what the situation was and he said the only option for me is to take it back to the store. Not so much as a "hey, sorry for the inconvenience big guy". I explained how displeased I was with the experience and that if I have to package this thing back up again, this will be the last business LG has of ours. The response? "OK". End of conversation. I have had other LG products that worked fine, no customer service needed, but after finding out that a company will not lift 1/2 a finger to help you out, I would rather spend my money elsewhere. When we had an issue with our Samsung refrigerator, I read them our receipt and BAM, a service person at our door with a new control panel. LG could go to learn a thing or two from them. This unit will be returned as well tomorrow. Best Buy and their customer service team: 5 Stars LG and the abysmal experience: 0 Stars

    Quit working after 15 months. LG customer service unhelpful. Cost as much to ship and have looked at as it is to replace. Check online LG forums before buying. They do not back up their products and many people have problems with appliances right after they fall out of warranty. I should have done more research before buying.

    I bought this microwave in Nov. 2012 to replace one just like it that had simply stopped heating after just 4 years. Today, the 27 month old replacement stopped heating. No more LG microwaves for me.

    You can not see the keypad. It is not lit so it is very hard to see in daylight and impossible in the evening. I have contacted LG and they recommend it be kept in a well lit area. The entire panel is not lit including the clock. LG customer service will not replace the oven. We have had it 4 months and hate it.

    I purchased this oven under warrenty from an cheaper LG microwave that quit working after 3 months. This was a great microwave oven for the 2 years it lasted. One day it made a loud buzzing sound and smelled of burnt wiring insulation. I suspect the power transformer. Following the rule of "if the repair is half the cost of the unit then you should buy a new appliance" I purchased a different brand. I also purchased the extended 4 year warranty, something that I have never done before. If you dig into the reviews you will see that all brands have a problem with longevity. I think the manufs. should regroup and address quality and design over cheap production.

    It worked fine for 3 years and one day the unit turned one WHILE THE DOOR WAS OPEN. A couple days later it died completely.

    Woke up to beeping microwave at 4am. No explanation. Unplugged it, plugged it back in after scratching my head a few minutes, went back to bed, and again the beeping resumed and display asking to select cooking mode 1-4... Unplugged it again. Came back later to start my day and after plugging it in the keypad was unresponsive. I couldn't even set the clock. Called Best Buy - was told 15 day return policy. Go figure, the unit was purchased 17 days ago! Was told "Sorry dude, call LG." Called LG, explained entire keypad & buttons were unresponsive. Was told to reboot it (unplug for 3 minutes) still no dice, was told to call repair shop to schedule service. 1 year parts & labor should be covered, but 17 days? No more Best Buy and no more LG products for me again.

    We bought this microwave in March 2012.It has worked splendidly until yesterday. In the middle of cooking bacon the magnatron stopped working and the turntable stopped turning. The timer continues to run. I have unplugged the unit flipped the breaker and tried everything I know to get it to work again. I even gave it the "ol' hit it if it doesn't work" and nothing worked. I am going to try and get my AMEX extended warranty to replace it for me because while it was working it was great.
