I would like to know if anything is spilling over or if cheese is melted but the window is somewhat blacked out about 3-4 inches all around. Other than that it works well but I would not buy it again. There are other products that do a good job and allow visibility of items in the microwave

Got all new stainless appliances from LG because they were so highly rated. We have had this for 16 months and it started making a loud grinding sounding noise. Then you could hear what sounds like a fan starting off low and then speeding up. I'm not service man, but pretty sure the magnatron is out already. After reading reviews of this microwave, I see it's a pretty common problem. Another issue is that they use a halogen bulb to light up the stove. This bulb gets so hot you can hardly touch the glass plate inside the microwave. So we seldom even use the light, which sucks because it's helpful to see what you're doing on the stove top. I'm giving it 2 stars because it did work for a year. But would I recommend it? NO! If my $200 whirlpool could get 15 years, I would have expected a $400 one to last longer than this.
