Bought defective, was making loud noise, waiting for best buy to exchange it

With residential use it lasted less than 2 years. I would not recommend this product.

Product didn't state the door would not open if against a wall or another cabinet. Had to return it!

In less than 3 months, this microwave became noisy. Fan keeps working for no reason.

I changed the microwave 3 times. All 3 arrived damaged.

I've had this microwave for a full year now. I love everything about it! Love the look of the black stainless steel, love the interior, love the controls. It's also super quiet. I did read tons of reviews before I made the purchase which stated it didn't work very long and/or you couldn't cook anything on the stove underneath it because it melted or messed up the door handle. I've never had either of these issues. We've had zero problems. And I know some don't like the fact that the clock display time goes off after a few minutes, but I actually like that. It's an energy saving feature that I don't mind at all. Clock stays on the entire time that I'm using the microwave - and that's all that matters. (Btw, cooks popcorn on the popcorn setting perfectly)

I have no complaints at all. I LOVE this microwave and all of its features. People that have said it is noisy, IT IS NOT. IF you do hear a rattling sound, that is because there is a space between the right side of the microwave and the right cabinet. I fixed my rattling by having hubby put a SPACER between the right side of microwave and right cabinet. It stopped the rattling but for those that do not know, I agree, the rattling noise can be annoying but an EASY fix. Purchased in Sept 2018 HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Microwave works fine and is easy to clean. It is the type with a turntable. There is a button on the front to turn off the turntable rotation if needed. Like every microwave, when you get a new one, you have to relearn the button press sequences. If you open the door, on the lower inside edge of the oven there is a list of number codes for cooking, reheating various typical foods. It is easy to find one that is similar to the thing you are cooking so you can select an appropriate code. Then it will use sensors to cook the proper length of time. The sensor cooking works well this way. The exhaust fan has several speeds, including the very powerful "turbo", and you can leave the fan on a timer, so that it will continue working for several minutes to half an hour and then turn itself off. This is a nice feature. I chose this oven to match an LG range/oven -- and got $100 off the microwave off for buying them together. I chose this one over another LG that was next to it in the store, because the door latch mechanism seemed to operate more smoothly. I give it four instead of five stars because it does not have a one button "quick settings" for something like "boil a cup of water", "1 minute" or "popcorn". Any usage requires a minimum of two button presses. But really, it is a perfectly good microwave.

Want to make some soup? Boil some water for pasta? You'd better keep to the left side of your stovetop, and hope your touchpad doesn't flip out. I bought this microwave in July '15, and had to call LG three times to have someone come out after the touchpad stopped working. All three times it happened after boiling water on the right side of my stove, which is right under the touchpad. Each time is was a few days before a service tech could make it out, and the touchpad came back to life before they arrived. They told me that, since the problem was "solved", and the microwave was functioning "properly", they weren't authorized to repair or replace any parts. It's now been three days after my wife made some soup, and we've been without a functioning microwave ever since. We've left it unplugged for a day, and nothing. The light turns on when the door is opened. When plugging it back in the display prompts you to set the time. But the touchpad is still unresponsive. The kicker being that the warranty period is over, and now if I want it repaired I need to pay a service fee. For an ongoing issue that was reported during the warranty period but was never repaired. This microwave is garbage. We purchased all LG appliances for our kitchen, and love the way they look. Fortunately when our refrigerator died it was still under warranty, and we got it fixed. The microwave failed under warranty, but was never repaired, and now LG doesn't care to help. 50% failure rate for our LG kitchen appliances. Absolutely horrible. We will never again be purchasing another LG appliance, or any other LG product.

If you buy this, or apparently any other LG kitchen appliance, buy the BestBuy extended warranty…you’ll need it because the LG Customer Service is worthless. I had the microwave installed on 11/8/18 and was on the phone with LG the following day because the nightlight overheated the turntable to the point I couldn’t touch it. After 2 service calls and numerous phone calls to LG, with little to no response from them, BestBuy offered to replace the unit (I hadn’t purchased the extended protection), but I wasn’t quite ready to give up because I like the looks and functions of the unit. I managed to fix the problem myself by downsizing the halogen light on the bottom of the microwave. I now have a BestBuy extended warranty on the microwave. I'd never recommend LG but would recommend BestBuy.

Great Microwave. Cooks quickly and has a nice sleek look to it in our kitchen. Installation was fine with 2 people.

We bought this microwave because our other kitchen appliances are LG.If seems to work just fine. What I don't like is the nooks and crannies on the inside which makes the unit difficult to clean if there is a splatter. The clock never stays lit.

Just got this so can't say that I will love it years from now; however, the dimensions are no bigger than my previous microwave, but this is bigger inside. The style is very nice and love the look in my kitchen. Many settings preprogrammed. Great buy

If you are under 5 feet 8 inches tall you cannot see inside the microwave while cooking because a large part of the glass door is blacked out. Also note that control board readout at botton, fan speed and light, is unreadable but does not affect preformance. Another problem that happened 1 time was that after heating coffee for 45 sec. the readout gave a code for overheated thermistor and unit wouldn't work. If this happens to you just unplug the unit for 1 min. and reset the board. Other than this it works good.

This LG Microwave replaces the former model we had for 10 years. Liked it a lot! This one works well. However, the front edge of the glass rotating plate inside the microwave is not protected. It sticks out past the edge of the oven cavity, so it is easy to bump as you are placing a pan, cup, or dish into the oven. It is a poor design. I think the rotating plate may be slightly higher than in the model we had, so it is easy to keep bumping it after being used to lifting pans to the former height. The distance from the top of the rotating plate to the top of the oven opening is about 8.5 inches. Another drawback is that there is only about a 3.5 inch high "viewing window" for observing the food you are cooking, which is a problem if cooking something like quick oatmeal, which can bubble over. The bottom 5.5 inches of the door consists of the frame and the blacked-out part of the glass, and for someone shorter than 5'8" tall, being able to see into the microwave to see what is cooking may be a problem without a step or high heels! I'm almost 5'8" and can only see about the top 1 inch of a 4 inch mug. If I had known that there was so little ability to view the food, I probably would not have bought this model. Great price, but I suppose it's because people have broken the glass tray by kinging it with pans or not been able to see into the oven.

This is an Amazingly simple and effective kitchen tool.

The microwave looks and works great. My only issue would be that the door tint leaves only a small window to view food being heated. Also the clock does not display automatically. Sometimes it is just a blank screen and I have to hit clear to bring the time back on the display screen.
