    Manufacturer Defect - Avoid!

    This model has an intermittent defect where the magnetron does not engage. LG support was not helpful, they sent a guy twice and even though we have video of the issue if it doesn't happen in front of them they give up and say it's not their problem.

    Bought for curb side pickup. My wife and daughter showed up and told they had to go in store to get them self’s $600+ microwave . This made me upset

    Unit's magnatron (heating element) failed after 5 months, LG repaired the problem and it didn't even make it a month before it failed again. LG will only look at repair options at this point. The unit has issues with noise levels as well when heating, gets extremely loud and then gets really quiet. I recommend finding a different brand and save yourself the headaches of having to take time off to get the unit repaired multiple times. Only positive so far is it looks nice in the black stainless steel face but the unit is completely useless for heating/cooking.

    You can't see in while the microwave is cooking to see if things are bubbling over or are done. The clock goes out after 5 minutes of idle time. Can't use as a clock from across the room.

    Got this last yr 2019 in April..in Sept this yr it (2020) died. So a very kind tech from LG came in to fix it..repaired n replaced the fan n motor n the magnetron..now 1 month later it had a burning smell n died again..waiting for LG to come back to me! I think this MW is/was faulty from day 1! My old whirlpool lasted me 19 yrs...not a happy camper☹

    I don’t have it yet? It came no bracket! Said it was on the receipt. Nothing said by sales representative to inform me! The installer unhooked my fan and light and put the unit in his truck. One of your representative Steven was extremely rude. I was causing his bad day. Because I was asking questions and insisting that I get some answers. I want the microwave I paid for!! Or install the same brand LG at no extra charge since this has been ongoing since September 2. Your help with this matter has been going on for to long and the holidays are right around the corner!
