    This microwave worked for just under a year before breaking. LG sent out a company to repair it after waiting for several weeks because their customer service is terrible. They replaced the entire internal wiring. Starting working. Now a year later, it broke again. Too many headaches.

    Horrible Microwave

    its literally burnt out shorted after 7 months. I waited 6 weeks for the replacement part to come in and was assured it was a quirk and it's fine. that means 6 weeks without a microwave?? now it broke again. the motor blew out and it's less then a year old. I'd Neverl buy an LG again.

    Bad unit

    I bought this unit the first week of November unit failed less than 60 days later best buy said it is over 15 days old, deal with company I've now had to wait over a week for a service technician to come and look at it and I'm looking at potentially two to three weeks before I have a serviceable microwave they hope.

    Very disappointed

    It stopped working in less than two years. We are never home so we barely used it. We rather buy another microwave than fixing it because we would spend the same money. All our appliances are from LG we are afraid they will stop working too :/

    Unreliable

    I had two of these. Both failed just after the factory warranty expired. For the second one I purchased a 5 year plan. It was repaired once then replaced when the magnatron failed.

    Door too big

    Sounded like a spaceship was taking off whenever we used it. It was an open vox which might explain it. Also gave my self a black eye in the dark opening the giant door.

    Won’t open when installed in standard cabinet

    This was installed in a standard depth and width cabinet surround. The microwave door requires more clearance than is available at the 30” width, and won’t open. Ridiculous design. Nothing but problems with LG appliance design in our new kitchen. This goes back.

    Broke dow.. right before warranty expired (no heating) Got repaired by warranty, and then the carroussel stopped working a month later now out of warranty. Just sucks!!

    Broke after seven months

    It was fine until it wasn't (though we didn't like the fact that my wife (who is 5' 5") couldn't see into it because of the tinting on the door). LG customer service has been disappointing. It's been more than a month and they still don't know when one of the parts will ever arrive.

    Thing already has tons of issues. Exhaust fan is a joke. I bought all three matching appliances and they're all trash, this, the dishwasher, and the fridge.

    Poor quality

    Bought this microwave at the end of 2014. Exactly two years later, the keypad on the machine is dead, and it now requires replacement. This is a bad sign on the quality scale, especially for this brand. I would not recommend this product.

    Failed Inside of a Year

    We had this unit less than a year when the exhaust fan failed. First the repair guy ordered the wrong part. Then when the right one came in it was also defective. We STILL don't have a working microwave. I will avoid LG in the future.

    Exactly 2 years old and it started making popping noises and emitting electrical burning smell. LG says it is out of warranty and refused to do anything. Not going to put more money into an unsafe product. Will never purchase another LG product.
