No as good as my old LG

Problem with Heating Disconnecting

Repeatedly we have had a problem with the part that heats the microwave coming disconnected. Even with the protection plan you have to p ay for someone to come and that is $100 and this would be our third time doing so.. we could have just bought a new microwave for that! VERY frustrating!

Bad service and low quality

There are five defects - damages on front and side panels, glass inside has pots damages (cannot be removed). Steel surface inside has scratches. I requested replacement and lost all Saturday but no one came in. And website and Customer service continued to provide wrong information that exchange will happened today. Bad quality item and bad service Not recommend.

Not a smart microwave and does not do scan-to-cook

When I got it, the front panel number buttons didn't work at all.

Horrible delivery service

Had it scheduled and 2 days before they moved it by a day like they dont understand how life works and requesting days off for their 12 hour delivery window. Without checking with me. DO NOT BUY

Stopped heating 1 month after purchase, unfortunately the return policy for an appliance is only 14 days at Best Buy. It was a nightmare to get a tech to come out to fix the issue. After 2 visits the and LG sent broken parts (Magnetron) for replacement. It's been 4 months since I bought it and still no help. The LG tech keeps canceling and LG customer support is absolutely useless

Excessively bad mechanical design

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible quality of the installation information, the company offers two templates on the same paper for two different types of installations and with very confusing information. The installation template must be individual for each installation and at least made of thin cardboard, to avoid damage to the cabinets to be installed. It does not have a count of seconds for food. The dark colored interior makes it look unhygienic. Due to its terrible mechanical engineering design, the upper part has conformations for resistance that do not allow hermeticity with the bottom of the cabinet where it is installed, leaving spaces and crevices to house insects. I have not tested it working, but these defects already make it to my complete displeasure. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AT ALL.

Unit was delivered with a latent defect and despite the fact that I am willing to pay to replace the part that I didn't notice until 6 weeks after purchase, I am in a position where it will be cheaper to buy a whole new unit rather than making a small repair. Ill donate the unit and buy a quality brand that stands behind their product.

Manufacturer Defect - Avoid!

LG support was not helpful, they sent a guy twice and even though we have video of the issue if it doesn't happen in front of them they give up and say it's not their problem.

Not worth it

Last week the microwave stopped heating. LG tech came to repair it on the 3rd, but did not have the right parts- they automatically order a new magnotrometer, apparently they go out quite often. After troubleshooting they are ordering a new transformer. If returning the microwave was an option, I would have a different microwave right now.

DIED within a year!

Worked well for 13 months, and then suddenly the magnetron died. It will no longer heat. This model replaced an old Samsung which finally quit after 18 years. Will be contacting LG.

Waste of money

At a year and five months it broke, it stopped heating up the food. We replaced the magnetron and it still not does heat up the food. Waste of money, do not recommend.
