Set up was pretty easy and the sound is amazing. Especially if you are using a small room like a bedroom this is absolutely perfect and not too strong or too weak. I had an issue with being able to get the sandbar to kick on with HDMI arc until I messed with the settings until I was blue in the face and then I got it to work eventually. Overall now it works perfectly.

The sound bar was easy to set up, sounds real well and the price was great.

I got this for my basement family room. It's plenty loud for sports, movies and video games. The sound and bass fill the room which is 25 x 15 ,225 square feet. I do wish it showed the volume using numbers 0 to 100. It uses color coding instead showing red being the loudest.

The LG S40T is a good 2.1 channel soundbar with subwoofer. I had an older Sony that I had purchased on open box clearance years ago that didn't produce as crisp of highs and not near the bass I wanted. It also didn't have ARC HDMI input capabilities. This does everything that didn't. The highs are nice and crisp, the bass is deep and strong. The app is a little wonky, but not enough to not recommend this soundbar. Setting up was a pain, but not because of LG's fault or the HiSense TV's fault, rather the HDMI cable I was using was old and likely cheap. I got a new HDMI from Monoprice and all problems with ARC audio went away. You can control the volume and power with the HiSense remote, all other settings on the app or on the remote that comes with it. There are likely better soundbars that are 5.1 or 7.1 at a much higher price point, but I wanted 2.1 because my wife wouldn't want the satellite speakers around the living room. If you're in the market for a decent priced 2.1 soundbar and subwoofer combo then this is the way to go.

Works very well. Big improvement over the TV alone. I'm in my 60's and sometimes had difficulty understanding dialogue (especially the British accents). Much better now. Music is much better too. This is not surround sound; don't expect it to be. I gave four stars because it said (somewhere, perhaps not on the Best Buy description) that if I have a LG TV I would not need to use the separate remote for the sound bar. NOT TRUE. I dislike using two remotes, one for the TV and one for the sound bar. DOES come with a audio optical cable (didn't say so in the description that I saw).

Great sound at a great price. It does a superb job for TV for all types of programs. Also great sound for iPhone music. Perfect addition.

Sound quality is noticeably better than TV speakers and the wireless subwoofer is a great thing! Very easy to setup on a LG TV, but not so much on other brands. Eventually I got it working on another brand TV. The volume seems weak for a soundbar to me. The bass could be better. It does work but just not as clear and loud as I expected.

Great Soundbar, pretty loud for it's size. It comes with AI Sound mode, Music mode, Game Mode and Movie Mode for the Soundbar. It's great for it's size and works well inside of a small 11x12 bedroom. If your looking for one with the rear speakers the S40TR is an Amazon exclusive but if you just need the Soundbar and Subwoofer then the S40T is the one to buy

The sound is awesome, watching movies with this sound bar is amazing. I love the quality of the sound when I’m listening to my music. This is a 10/10

LG hasn't failed me yet. I've owned everything from phones, to kitchen appliances and this sound system is no different. The set up instructions arent great (it says its wireless but the instructions were were based on wired connections). Otherwise it's great. The sound quality it excellent.

We put a 32” LG tv in the kitchen and wanted some extra sound and bass.. this two piece sound system works amazing! The kitchen is bumping

Would be 5 stars but subwoofer has a faint beeping sound when in standby mode. Wouldve been an issue if i hadnt had a wifi plug around to turn the sub on and off with my phone. However sound quality is great for price

I use this one in a bedroom and the 70st model in the living room and another larger bedroom. IMHO, The LG soundbar is a MUST to get better Audio from your TVs .
