I bought this for my parents whom are in their 70’s and had a hard time hearing the TV. I had bought a similar SONY 300watt sound bar with wireless subwoofer and love it. This was on sale for around half off for Christmas. I set it up, and my folks like it... but I think it’s because it’s better than what they had. But I’m a bit of an amateur audiophile and the LG seems less than impressive. Not to mention there’s zero instructions on changing the settings for the sound bar, (bass, treble, output, etc...). I’ve been lead to believe LG was quality products but this was actually a letdown. Either people put too much faith in LG and should try better manufacturers, or this was LG’s attempt to take advantage of customers loyalty. I do not recommend this product, I know for a fact there’s much better on the market for the same price. Like SONY

For the most part it is. The only downside is when you power down the TV, it does not immediately shut down the soundbar. It takes a while for the soundbar to not detect the signal from the TV in order to power down itself. May want to just use this one with a LG TV if you are worried about saving power.
