It comes equipped with everything you need to get started plus it's Bluetooth enabled also. The only drawback is when you turn this off, the next time you turn on the TV on this turns on automatically. I would prefer this to turn on when I want it to, but other than that it's great.

I do notice that when I’m watching regular tv that the sound tends to increase and decrease sporadically. I don’t notice it quite as much when playing movies in the DVD player. However, I do find myself adjusting the sound often when it goes from people talking to the music... Still not a deal breaker for me

I own the TCL sound bar and sub and for the value I would purchase that over this since they are similar but cost 1/3 less.

My mother on the other hand... doesn't understand why one needs to hear every nuance Godzilla's stomping around city streets is such a big deal....
