Posted .We hate to see you are unhappy with your soundbar. This system has a number of pre-set surround sound settings. You can select a desired sound mode by using each sound mode button. The ASC button analyzes the property of input sound and provides the sound optimized for the content in real time. Bass blast reinforces the bass and makes it sound more powerful. The cinema setting allows you to enjoy more immersive and cinematic surround sound. We hope this helps you achieve a more enjoyable sound out of your soundbar. ^CP

Subwoofer cuts in and out at some volumes, power light turning off and on... I can't return it because I spent too long figuring out that it's a piece of junk and not just be setting it up wrong.

We have an Amazon FireTV box (not stick) and it has an optical audio port. My last sound system did not have an optical port so I had to get something that did. The soundbar literally took 2 minutes to set up (it took longer to get it out of the box - which was cool packaging in and of itself!); plug in power; plug in optical audio cord (provided); turn on TV; sound!! Sub-woofer installation = plug power cord in. That's it. The sound when the bar and sub-woofer are combined is phenomenal. The included remote has multiple sound options (Cinema, Standard, Voice) and separate volume controls for sub-woofer and soundbar. My last system was surround sound (i.e. 5 speakers around the room). No need for that with this system! This system also works via Bluetooth. So crank up your iPad or iPhone and pair it for amazing sound!!

Just have to play it by ear. Lack of a screen also makes it hard to use any of the settings. Sound quality was okay, but the user experience was terrible.
