Bought for the voice and it seems to make it worse

Pretty good soundbar for the price. Hooked it up in less than 5 minutes, no issues. I did use the optical cable that comes with it. The sound is pretty good for my condo. Had some issues with echo, but found out the TV volume has to be turned all the way down or will hear the TV and bar at the same time. Bass is pretty good also and remote has some neat options. Bluetooth connection is flawless, up to 3 devices.

System should mention TV must have optical connection. My year old Insignia TV did not, returned sound bar.

Upgraded to a new TV and I had to choose between a new receiver or a soundbar. To get spend $300 or more on a soundbar didn't make sense so I thought I'd take a chance on this $139.00 soundbar... Couldn't be happier, really impressed how good it sounds for the money. I'm going to buy another for the family room!

I looked at other models and other companies. This lg 454 is definitely the best buy in its price range. You get the wireless subwoofer with this model which is huge! I set it up in 5 minutes. It syncs automatically with TV and Directv remote. The sound is amazing for TV and for listening to songs via Bluetooth. Recommending for all who want a quality product!

I'm one of those people that always seems to have issues with electronics. In this case I plugged it in, turned it on, and it was working. I even unplugged it a couple of times to get the location right and never had a problem with it working properly. My previous sound system used Bose speakers. So if I rate the Bose as a 10 the sound of this sound bar would be a 7 - 7.5. Music during commercials, movies, etc. is great. I would have rated it higher but I watched my first NFL game and the sound was a little tinny. I'm sure it could be adjusted but my TV doesn't have treble and bass adjustments. The only negative is controlling sound with my direct TV remote. One step up on the remote is a large jump in volume. I find myself fine tuning the volume with the sound bar remote. But again the most important is that it was a no hassle installation.

This sound bar and subwoofer sound great for their size and price. I went into the store looking to purchase a Samsung sound bar but this LG model sounded much clearer and crisper. Surprisingly, this sub produces some very powerful bass. The ability of this bar to sync with my LG TV is very handy. I can control the volume with my LG TV remote without any programming. My only complaint is there is not an owner's manual with this sound bar. It's fairly simple and straightforward but I would prefer to not guess how it needs to be setup.

Just bought this last night after listening to it at the store this past weekend. Wife had bought the Samsung soundbar that normally cost 300 bucks like this one and it did not have a rich sound at all. The sound from this one is very rich and the sub actually has bass unlike the Samsung. It seems like it's lacking options (limited inputs) compared to the Samsung, but again the quality sound is worth whatever it MIGHT be lacking...in my opinion it's only lacking if it the other was better and it isn't so...easy set up, easy to set bkuetooth up and quick easy pairing of the subwoofer as well. Less than 3 mins to hook up was nice.

So I bought this LG 2.1 sound bar and wireless subwoofer during Cyber Monday or $129.99. This is my first LG sound bar purchase and I have to admit I am really impressed by the sounds of this product. The highs are clear and crisp and the lows/bass are handled pretty well in my medium size room. Makes video games and movies more enjoyable to play and watch. I think this sound bar sounds just as good if not better than my previous sound system I replaced (1000W Pioneer 5.1 Surround Sound home theater system). Setup is not a problem at all. You simply just plug in both sound bar and subwoofer and you are good to go. I would definitely recommend this to a friend and anyone else looking to purchase this product!

I've never owned a sound bar before, with my surround sound system, never felt I needed one. But with my subwoofer failing, decided to take advantage of the sale and buy this unit to go with my LG tv. It hooked up easy enough and worked perfectly. With normal tv watching, no surround sound on, this really improves the sound quality and with the cinema mode, it really enhances the audio (near surround sound effects). Very happy with the wireless subwoofer also since now I can place it anywhere I want and don't have to drill a new hole in my floor to adjust the audio cable under the house. So I'm very happy with the purchase, I did not 'need it' but i'm glad I got it.

the soundbar often disconnects and I constantly have to reconnect to my tv.

I bought this on black Friday, came home and hooked it right up, very easy without a problem. This thing cranks and I have a big room, excellent sound.

It has crystal clear sound and good bass for a soundbar at this price. In cinema mode the immersive experience is impressive. I would say it did surpass my expectation. Set up is easy. The only negative is its Bluetooth which disconnects randomly. It does not happen as frequently as once every 15-30 minutes but, more like once in 2 or 3 hours of constant streaming. If BT streaming is your primary mode of listening to music than I will not recommend this soundbar otherwise sound wise it is an excellent system at this price point.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 40 INCH SAMSUNG KITCHEN TV WHICH I ALSO PURCHASED AT BEST BUY. I WAS SHOCKED AT THE FANTASTIC SOUND FROM THIS LG SOUNDBAR. I NOW NEEDED ONE FOR MY FRONTROOM TV TOO. I PURCHASED A SAMSUNG HW-J450. SAMSUNG IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE LG. THE SAMSUNG IS GOING BACK AND I ORDERED THE IDENTICAL LG. ALSO BOTH LG,s WERE OPEN BOX. FIRST ONE WAS EXCELLENT CONDITION, LIKE BRAND NEW. NEW ONE CAME TODAY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LG. GREAT ITEM FOR GREAT PRICE AT BEST BUY.

This LG LAS454B sound Bar sounds great, Just remember it's a TV Sound Bar NOT a stereo or a surround sound system, Makes my LG TV sound Much better, Good Base and good high's. Glad I bought it. Bluetooth works great, Hooked right to my laptop and my phone NOW I can play music from either one, And it works with my Direct TV remote. For $139.00 it was a good buy. I have been eyeing it for a year now, BUT at $249.00 I was NOT going to Buy it. But IT, You will like it..

The LG was purchased to replace an expensive Sony sound bar that finally died. Yay (it was worthless from day one). We're a senior couple and found the set up easy, the sound amazing! We can, at last, hear clear, distinct audio without having to rely on closed captioning. Thank you, Best Buy for recommending the LG!

I bought this sound bar AFTER buying and returning Sansung 400 series 2.1 sound bar (subwoofer has a constant plastic rattle). The sound quality and bass is night and day, also it cost 8$ less. The sound bar remote is very straight forward without any unnecessary button, is a plus
