Installation was quick and simple. Plug in optical cable, plug in power for sub and bar. Done! I was very surprised to see that the volume was controllable from the AT&T U-verse remote. It is connected to a 50-inch LG TV in my master bedroom. Bass is controllable and sounds very good. Bar has excellent sound quality. Display is very basic... I have used Bluetooth for music from my iPhone. Works well, sounds good. Remote is very basic and does the job. Now... I own another LG soundbar connected to an LG Plasma. A higher-end soundbar system. I will not compare the two on quality and such as it's expected to have more features and such. CON: This is a concern and the reason I gave both LG's a 4-star rating, instead of 5. BASS CUTS OUT INTERMITTENTLY!!! LG!! FIX THIS!! It's not so bad but it is annoying. Not frequent enough to warrant return. But I have seen other reviews commenting on the same. I haven't reviewed Sony or other manufacturers' reviews to see if this is just LG or across others... For the price, I've opted to keep the new soundbar. Cannot beat the sales price point. But LG does need to address woofer cut-out. Note: the subs for both are well within Bluetooth range. 12-15 feet with minimal blocking from furniture and such. The new one has line-of-sight connectivity.

Using this for the bedroom tv - sound is surprisingly good and the subwoofer bass is adjustable to your taste. Great for the money, especially when it's on sale for less than $200.00. The auto on/off feature doesn't seem to work, and I have an LG Tv, but that is not a big deal for me.

Easy set up, Just like my title, For the Price this thing is awesome. Unless you got a lot of money in your pocket. Look no further . BUY THIS!!! You won't be disappointed

I purchased this soundbar/subwoofer duo to upgrade the sound on my new 4K TV. First off, let me just say that the actual bar is pretty long. It's about ~40 inches wide. Also, it sits pretty high, a little more than 2 inches. I had a problem fitting it under my TV because of how low my TV is to the stand. With that being said, you could just mount it to the wall with the kit they include in the box. The reason that I am giving this product 4/5 stars is because I am a student living in a dormitory, and unfortunately, we have pesky sound rules. While this speaker is great when loud, you really can't notice the bass from the subwoofer until you get past the point of being courteous to those in the rooms beside you. So if you are wanting something that has really good lows at quieter settings, possibly look for something else. OVERALL: PROS: -It can get pretty darn loud. -The subwoofer is wireless. -You can adjust the bass with the remote. -It has line-in (AUX) and Bluetooth as well. -Has automatic turn on/shut off so when you turn your TV off, the sound system also turns off. Same for turning it on. -It looks pretty cool. CONS: -It's long (~40in) -Sits high (+2in) -Hardly and bass at low volume

Bought this soundbar yesterday from best buy... For 129$ this is the best one you can get. Specially the woofer is too good. Great sound quality at small price. Very happy with the purchase. :)

Went into Best Buy to buy an Xbox one. Figured I'd just walk through home audio and look. I wanted a 5.1 system but didn't want to mess with hassle of all the wires. Salesman showed me this and said it's on sale for 129. So I bought it figured why not Well guys it's not surround sound by any means BUT it sounds awesome. A lot more sound than I would expect I would buy again

I bought one of these sound bars for my Sony 4K TV. It's extremely simple to hook up. I do recommend you upgrade your optical cable as the the one that is packaged with the sound bar is thin and cheap. This system pushes a lot of power for 300W and sounds amazing. I suggest listening to it on the "Cinema" setting as this increases both the volume and bass output. Having the subwoofer be wireless adds value to the sound bar. I was so pleased with the purchase that I bought another one for my LG 4K TV lol.

Very pleased with my purchase. The Soundbar and Subwoofer has very good sound quality. It was very easy to hookup to television.

I purchased a 40 inch Westinghouse Tv.for $199 on black Friday for my bedroom . I got this soundbar to go with it new in box for $125 . So easy to use and let me tell you WOW for extra sound !!!! Tried it with my ipod to and it's great. I am a happy girl :)

Not a super audiophile here but wanted to share my install experiences with the LG Electronics LAS454B Soundbar, to be used with my older Series 3 / HD TiVo and my Acer Chromebook. Other reviewers have pretty accurately described how it sounds. This review is focused on clarifying some installation issues I encountered with my Tivo and Chromebook. When I followed the set-up instructions I ran into a small snag and had to do some fiddling. I initially plugged the digital optical cable into my Sony TV as instructed. No sound came out. I then switched the plug to the back of my HD Tivo, and it works perfectly. As others have explained, this bar really enhances the original sound of the TV. I also have my TiVo connected to a tuner and additional speakers, which are controlled by the TiVo remote. I have not yet figured out a way to use the Tivo remote to control the Soundbar. I disconnected the tuner and other speakers and it still didn't work. I believe all I was able to do was use the Tivo remote to turn up the volume on the TV. So get used to having two remotes so you can adjust the sound when watching TV using a Tivo. I also was able to easily connect my Acer Chromebook via bluetooth by making sure I was within about 10 feet of the Soundbar. Once I am connected I can move back to the couch which is about 15 feet from the unit. Had to reread the install instructions and do some digging before I found that you need to use the "F" button on the Soundbar remote to switch between the Bluetooth input (my computer) back to the TiVo. I do have to re-pair the laptop each time I want to use it. Bottom line is this Soundbar is a worthwhile investment to enhance listening experience, at least for my Sony TV. And of course anything is better than the speakers on my chromebook. What a treat to be able to stream music through the sound bar instead :D Feel free to ask any questions.

Nice sound, small and practical, I really love it, definitely an upgrade to my TV speakers. Very good price! Don't think it over just click and buy it! No regrets!

i bought this for my apartment for 40 inch tv and it is best sound bar and good price. i would recommend this product.

Love this soundbar. I have a 60 inch Samsung plasma that's more than 5 years old. Sometimes it would be a struggle to hear the tv, unless I turned it all the way up. But this soundbar really helped. Really easy set-up, looks great on my tv console. The soundbar comes with its own mount if you wanna stick it on the wall, but I didn't want to bother with all that. I snagged this bad boy for $129.99 when it was on sale and I'm glad I did. Best part to me is the cinema option on the remote...it makes it sound like I have surround sound.

The reviews for a Soundbar for a $140 made me go check it out. They claimed to have been out of them so I looked at several others ranging from $299 to $699. As I was about to leave that had found one that someone had put on hold and never picked up. It was very simple to hook up (5 to 10 minutes) and sounds every bit as good as the other much more expensive models. This is an extremely great buy!

Ordered on line after reading the reviews, which were overwhelming positive. Delivered 3 days later via UPS. Easy opening package. Set up was a breeze. Up and running in less than 10 minutes. The improvement in sound when compared to my new 55" LG TV is astounding. Highly recommended.

It was very easy to set it up. I really love it. The sound and bass is very loud. I suggest anyone with a low volume tv to purchase a soundbar. This one is great. I've had this for about 3 weeks and no issues yet.

Works like a champ with my 60in Sharp 240hz 3d TV..Nice sound and base is amazing for the price..
