Only had it for about 2 weeks, but so far so good. Its stainless steel. It microwaves stuff. All's good! Seriously though, seems like a solid microwave from one of the better brands. What sold me was the extendable vent underneath it, so it covers more of the oven below it. Some interesting features if you want to put it on your wifi and if you have an LG wifi range, but dont use it. Buttons have nice feel to them, seems powerful enough and plays a nice tune once done.

I am absolutely blown away by the incredible performance of this microwave! It's like a culinary superhero, cooking and reheating food to perfection in mere seconds. The sleek design and intuitive interface make it a breeze to use, and the various cooking settings ensure that even the most delicate dishes are cooked to a precise and delicious finish. Whether I'm whipping up a quick breakfast, reheating leftovers, or cooking a frozen meal, this microwave has exceeded my expectations in every way. The even heating, rapid cooking time, and effortless cleaning have made it an indispensable addition to my kitchen. If you're in the market for a new microwave, look no further - this one is a game-changer!"

Finally a real working venting solution for the over the range microwave hood vent combo. The pull-out vent efficiently draws up and away the steam and odors from the front burners as well.
The microwave is easy to use and powerful. The design is clean and modern. Life’s Good, thanks LG!

Fantastic looks, easy installation (assuming you know how to remove your over-the-range old microwave), and just enough advanced features for more convenience than my ten-plus-years-old microwave. The musical chimes after finishing the cook are the only negative spot (what's wrong with a simple beep?) but even those can be disabled if desired.

Solid feeling door and sleek looking, I’m happy with this purchase. I also like how the vent expands to cover the whole cooktop and then easily stows back away. This is especially important if you’re using a gas stove so you can properly vent the fumes.
I’ve also found that this is the only microwave I’ve ever used where the sensor cooling (or reheating) actually works!

I had a very basic Samsung microwave that started smelling like components were melting down, so this was definitely an upgrade. Aesthetically, it is a pleasing design. I prefer the side panel control so I'm happy with that. I've used just a few of the reheat pre-programmed settings but find I like that feature as it cooks the food more evenly than just reheating on 100% power. The extendavent is a bonus, particularly because this is a large microwave and there isn't a great distance between the bottom of it and the stovetop. I purchased in black stainless. LG's black stainless is more of a smokey grey which seems unique to this brand based on the other black stainless I checked out. Now let's see if it withstands the test of time.

So far I am enjoying this LG 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-the-range Microwave with the extendable vent. It cooks evenly, the controls are easy to understand, and the vents are much quieter than our old microwave. The thing I like best is being able to see the food in the microwave as it cooks. I am short and this is a new experience. Also, the controls are not on the door, so no ducking when you open the door.

Although I loved the features on this model, esp. the extendavent, had to return due to not being able to open door more than halfway without hitting the wall. Also, options were impossible to read in lower light as compared to other models LG does not list whether their microwave measurements are “when door open” vs closed. Be careful when measuring & if it is a tight fit make sure the one you buy says zero clearance on door.

Lg mount point not quite standard, or template off

Works great & love the extended vent. Mounting using the template was abit off on cabinet drill bolt, left side was perfect, right side was off by 1/2-3/4 inch toward the middle when the bolt hole needed to be 3/4 inch to right almost cabinet wall… now have multiple holes… but got it in. My prior microwave used same pre-drill holes which I believe is standard, while LG isn’t quite the same…my prior microwave Samsung was 1.5 yr old which power surge blew motherboard… the microwave prior to Samsung was Maytag died from power surge as well and was much older…

This is an excellent investment in a well-made microwave loaded with features. I'm so happy I purchased this. Also, I want to mention that it is well worth the investment to purchase the Geek Squad protection along with this. I love this so much I purchased a new LG gas range to go along with it. I highly recommend this to others seeking to invest in a high-quality product packed with features. An excellant investment.

We were waiting for our previous microwave to break because the vent was terrible. We looked at reviews for this one and they are correct that the vent is great for this. The microwave is powerful too and plays a song when it is finished. Happy with the purchase and worth the expense to have a vent that actually workss

Looks so modern and sleek. Nice and roomy inside. Perfect touch screen and lots of different settings. My favorite is that with a gentle push the fan glides out and extends. Never knew that was an option but this a must have now. The fan settings are very powerul and not too loud. Received lots of compliments and looks great in my kitchen. Great price and would 100% recommend!!

This microwave has worked great in the time that we have owned it. The interior is a little smaller than the exterior deminsions would suggest but it is still adequate. The controls are intuitive and easy to navigate. One thing though, this microwave will sing you a little song every time it completes cooking!

We definitely love this microwave for their ability to eahaust to outside of the house. The only problem is LG's poor customer service as like GE appliances. GE products are great as long as they work. Once you need service it needs extra money and certainly no cooperation from GE.
