    We purchased this model because of the pull out vent extension. Good idea but still some smoke escapes. The first installer didn't check the draw of the vent which wasn't exhausting at all due to the damper being stuck shut requiring a service call.

    This is our second purchase of this unit. First unit lasted about 6 1/2 years. We installed the new unit which at first look is identical to the original. Unfortunately we have found this unit to be flimsy and cheap feeling. Very tinnier feeling. The door is not as solid feeling and sounds like a beer can quality. The extending fan tray isn't anywhere as smooth gliding as was on the old unit. Again it feels flimsy and poorly built. Of course its more expensive but the quality has dropped tremendously. If it wasn't for having to match our other LG products I would return this and look elsewhere . Fingers crossed, not sure how long this is going to last.

    Door on microwave doesn’t line up properly with the handle side of door . I have tried to find help with this problem but can’t navigate your system.

    product was dented and has to be replaced. Installer was great. no problem there . Will be replaced on the 30th they are taking care of it no problem.

    Pathetic excuse for a microwave

    It's a nice looking machine but that's the best it offers. The tray that shows you to cook to things at once burns the dudes and shoots sparks (used that only twice). 100% power works more like 70% power. Something that should take 2 minutes to warm can take up to 8 minutes. Now it keeps shutting off mid way through a cook session. It's only 14 months old. The LG fridge that I own is poor quality too it's probably a month or 2 younger.

    This microwave looks great and matches the other appliances in my kitchen. However, after about 3 months the microwave would randomly turn on and off. It is a frightening thing to be sitting in your living room and hearing the microwave just keep turning on and off. I eventually just had to leave it unplugged. This should not happen with a $500 appliance.

    Quit after 7 months

    Started having power issues with the microwave after only 7 months of using it. Basically just decides to shut off randomly with no apparent reason. Had to work directly with LG customer service which has been a nightmare. 3 techs and 2 replaced parts later they still can’t figure it out. Can’t believe they still won’t just replace the unit as they’ve probably spent the value of the microwave several times over paying for techs to come out plus parts. First and last time buying LG appliances. Hoping this next tech visit is the last

    Problems after one year with wiring. Light started to blink on and off with door open. Geek squad say whole door needs replacing. Wish I had not bought this. Looks good and works well but quality is shameful.

    This is my 2nd microwave this calendar year. First one was used less than 12 times until if no longer heated anything. Then I literally spent 5 months working through the ridiculous LG warranty claim process. Finally got a replacement just last week. Time will tell.....

    They are not as sturdy as past models. Lots of technology and gadgets that can break. Sometimes simplicity is the best solution.
