Excellent microwave. Love the extended vent that prevents the front of the microwave and cabinets from fogging up while cooking! Looks great too and easy to clean!

Great microwave, easy to use and modern design, affordable price, I really recommend it.

This is a nice over-the-range microwave oven. It is powerful enough to keep with my family's complicated eating schedule. It is aesthetically appealing and easy to clean. My only criticism is the gutless fan/vent. Even though this microwave has an conceptually attractive pullout vent extension, it is not very efficient. The air displacement is not really adequate.

I purchased a LG LMVM2277ST microwave in 2008 and it worked perfectly until last week when it died. I ordered this LG LHHM2237 microwave as I expected that it would mount the same as the older 2277 microwave oven. But I was wrong. The rear mounting was the same but the location of the two holes for the top two screws was in a very different location. Less of a problem if installing this microwave into a new cabinet but definitely a problem when there are existing mounting holes from the prior LG microwave oven. I needed to make 0.625" diameter holes and then use fender washers for the mounting bolts. I can understand the various microwave oven manufacturers using different top bolt locations but not LG. Their product manager was not paying attention.

I will update this review as I continue using the product. But I wanted to give a detail that should help others install this. I was initially concerned that I have to cut my wall tiles as the reported height of this unit at 17.93 was an inch taller than my current microwave which is at 16.9. But I discovered after opening it that the depth at the back where this needs to be fixed is under 17 inches. It's just that from the front to about an few cms from the back it is close to 18 inches. This simplified my installation a lot. I also have to add that the black stainless looks great and the extendavent seems to be smooth. I am a little worried about the cracking of the vent and the overall fragility of the mechanism - but I'll update the review in some time.

I purchased my LG microwave less then a year ago. I love the black stainless and the way it functions. The small latch on the inside door broke, making it impossible to use it. I phoned LG immediately. Thanksgiving was the following week and I needed my microwave repaired ASAP. I spoke with people in their Customer Service dept. who were not located in this country and I believe didn't really understand 50% of what I was saying. I requested to speak with someone in America. I believe with ALL my followup phone calls I have been on hold a total of 3 hrs. if not more. I had to email pictures, copies of my proof of purchase, etc. They sent a repair service from over 2 hours away from another city. Due to weather conditions, this caused my appointments to be delayed or rescheduled. The repair person was not even sure why LG didn't use a different contractor in my area. I live in Denver, Colorado! Anyway, first he showed up with the wrong part. They then ordered a new door. He returned to put that in the week before Christmas and it was defective and the repairman stated he was going on vacation and I would be lucky to get this fixed by sometime in January!. Called, LG again, explained the contractor situation, they then allowed another contractor in Denver to provide the service. He contacted me the next day and informed me they cannot due the work because the door to replace mine was no longer available to order. I again had to be the one to followup with LG. At no time did they EVER call me to inform me of the status of the repair or lack of parts. They then stated they will put in for my microwave to be replaced and I needed to follow up with Best Buy to insure they got what they needed for this to take place. They will also NOT pay for the new install (It's an over the stove unit) or for the broken one to be removed! This is going to cost me approx.$400.00!! right after Christmas! It is now 12/28/16 and I have spoke with Best Buy regarding if they received the paperwork from LG to replace the unit. They will call me back.....Stay tuned. TERRIBLE LG customer service!

The main reason I purchased this microwave was because of the extendavent feature and the quiet fan technology. The vent fan on this model is not quiet as advertised. Its annoyingly noisy. The unit I replaced was a 17 year old GE profile spacesaver and was MUCH quieter than this model. I cannot purchase a different model because I had to have this custom installed. I'm hoping LG will send me a new fan motor. I forgot to mention this microwave is awesome, but you can't have a conversation in the kitchen.

Within a year we had to have someone fix something on the door that was causing issues with the microwave working properly. Within the 3rd year it would do weird things like the vent van turning off by itself after it finished cooking something (unrelated functions). Now it acts completely dead here and there. 90% of the time it doesn't work - no display, light, or anything and the other 10% it will work normally.

Easy to install. Works great & looks great. This brings microwaves to a new level. I really love the classy look that it has.

Excellent Microwave. Love the look. Runs very quiet. The push button fan extender is nice, but my stove below it sticks out from the wall further and the fan extender doesn't quiet cover all my below stove burners. Door is very easily opened and doesn't catch hard or sound loud when opening or closing. Love the 4 fan speeds. Can't see in what is cooking on turntable since control panel is on the door, but can see the stuff on the grate if using that. Easy controls and self intuitive. LED light is bright (if used) and am getting used to its shine.

Great microwave well worth the money and has some great features

When this item worked, it worked well. Unfortunately, after 3 years the control panel no longer lit up. It still worked, but you never knew how long there was to go on a reheat, or couldn't use the soften/melt/etc features because you couldn't see the "screen" numbers.

LOVE THE EXTENDAVENT AND THE BUTTONS ON THE BOTTOM OF MICROWAVE INSTEAD OF ON THE SIDE.

Got a good deal on it was worth it. It look really great in my kitchen with my LG refrigerator and dishwasher

This microwave had everything we wanted! It fit over our oven, had a great fan and light system...only one thing, it stopped working one week past it's one year date. Makes a rattling noise and doesn't heat the food placed inside it. Called LG and great they will cover the work needed...however, the two places they gave us for warranty work will not fix the microwave because LG does not pay their bill when the work is done. So we are left with a useless storage unit above our oven!

We like this unit we had same one in our previous home! Buying again shows how much we like it!

Do not waste your money! LG doesn't do repairs even if you purchase the protection and this microwave is awful. Within a few months the part that holds the rack melted a few times LG said they would send someone and never did just sent the part and had me figure it out. It melted again and they wouldnt fix it. Now the microwave won't even turn on and they want to charge me $300 for someone to fix it at that point I could get a new one. I have had horrible luck with LG with all my appliances from them. (If the microwave wasn't falling apart and didn't stop working it would've been worth it but with the company not caring and it falling apart it was a waste of money)
