    I was told this was a 1-Touch model. Eg, Hit 3 get 3 minutes. IT IS NOT; Turntable starts and stops 6-7 times on every revolution. Annoying and shakes liquids out of the cup. Extendable vent is not level - Gap between the microwave and frame is not even.

    This worked great for the first 2 years. Then it started having issues. Every couple months i have to unplug it for a couple hours then plug it back in again.

    Display no Longer Working!

    I have this microwave for 5 years now, and the display stopped working 2 weeks ago. I was expecting this high end microwave to be more durable, specially this being an LG. I would not recommend the product.

    Loud clicking sound after 21 days

    After 21 days of working normally, the unit started making a loud clicking sound (possibly related to turn table). Bestbuy refused to review or process a claim since it was after their 15day window. LG sent a repair company who reported back to LG that there was nothing wrong. After I suggested it was a fan or turn table motor, the repair guy actually said "there is no motor inside." We are waiting for repair guy #2 to show up. Before the clicking sound, the unit was nice and quiet and worked well.

    I hate this microwave

    I purchased for 2 reasons 1- the good reviews here and 2 - we have an LG washer which has held up well. For being a $400 microwave with no other features I am very disappointed. The first one had a faulty door interlock so BB had to bring out a 2nd. It still does not feel very reassuring when one closes the door. The Magnatron is louder than my mom's from the 80's and the plate actually squeaks as it goes around in circles and I cannot ID why. I had a Jenn Air that had Stainless interior. This painted dark interior is depressing next to that. I really wish I had gotten white or stainless again. I don't see the value. The door looks nice from the outside is about the only positive thing i can say about it. I would return it in a heartbeat if I had not spent so much for install and then paying restocking fee I will lose too much money.

      We hate to see you had an issue with the door on your first microwave but are happy to see a replacement was given. With the microwave squeaking, make sure that the tape over the shaft at the bottom has been removed or squeaking sounds will occur. Noise can also occur if a lot of food is being placed on the glass tray , preventing the glass tray from moving smoothly because of the weight. To ensure proper operation, do not place too much food on the turntable at once. ^CP LG

    Will not last long

    Well, it was several days under 3 years and microwave started to misbehave. It will lose power randomly when you open or close the door. You can hear clicking sound inside, like a power supply switching on and off several times. It will turn itself off completely and erase all settings. You have to open or close the door a couple of times and it turns on again. Power outlet is stable and clean, power voltage is stable and as it should be for 120V supply line (everything verified). Not sure how long this microwave will last from this moment, but it is not supposed to fail just after 3 years of standard use. Unplugging for 5 minutes to reset did not help. Apparently there is an issue with electronic components inside. Purchased on 3/12/2019 and Bestbuy team installed on 03/19/2019 NOT RECOMMENDED for purchase due to reliability!

    Ok but not reliable.

    Paid close to $500 but the microwave stopped Heating after 3 years. Just put it out on the curb sadly.

    Only 19 months old and no longer working

    We bought the entire LG black stainless steel line. Double wall oven, over the range microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. After 19 months of use the microwave is completely dead. Everything lights up, microwave turns on. Turntable turns, vent works, and clock is working...it won't heat. According to the manual it is the magnetron. Thank goodness I do have the receipt and the magnetron is warranted for 10 years. I bet LG will make me hire a repairman to tell me its the magnetron which should cost around $150. Very disappointed that this is already broken and it isn't even 2 years old.

    A Giant Falls!

    Purchased this LG microwave to replace an almost identical LG that failed after 12 years. Upon the first & all subsequent uses, the pop-out fan assembly appeared to not be drawing air. After 2 1/2 years, an internal rattle developed which within two weeks, stopped. Shortly later, the microwave stopped heating. Through my professional life I was a troubleshooter-repairman and my deductions led me to believe that the pop-out drawer was insufficiency wired, which led to a loose connection failing, then all cooling fans to cease operating.

    If I could give no stars, I would

    We have had nothing but trouble with this product. It arrived broken. It would not heat straight out of the box. It took FOUR weeks to get it fixed. We had to fight to get anyone to fix this lemon of a product. Now it is broken again due to what I assume is a faulty door sensor. On top of everything, we cannot find anyone who is willing to service this brand. That speaks volumes. If you want a functioning microwave, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired as well.

    Terrible Purchase

    For the price Inpaid, it is a very flimsy microwave. I started having problems with it after 1 year of use. It no longer recognizes when the door is closed so it will not turn in. I have to push the door in and up and to get it to work. I would never suggest this microwave to anyone.

    Be Carfull of what you buy!!

    I just purchased this microwave in January 2021 and wish I didn't. Be very careful, if you have a LMHM2237ST manufactured after September of 2020. This model will have what LG calls the "ExtendaVent 2.0" This model has no hood grease panel filters available anywhere and they never came in the box. There are four filters in total, 2 in the back of the unit and two in the"ExtendaVent 2.0" hood. The "ExtendaVent 2.0" hood filters are 9"x5 and the back are 7"x5". I don't believe LG has ever made them. I've tried five times to obtain them from LG. But the people at LG don't understand what I'm trying to explain?? Or they don't want too. I would love to speak with someone who does.

    Failed after only 3 weeks

    This LG microwave oven completely stopped working after only 3 weeks of usage. An appointment was made with the manufacturer LG to have a service technician come out between 10:30am and 12:30pm confirmed by phone and written text message. The technician then came out early at 8am when I was not home and then cancelled the appointment because I was not there with the proof of purchase. When I called LG, they said first that they have no way to contact the technician, then they proceeded to contact the technician and he was not able to come back despite my appointment time still being in the future.

    Stopped heating after 13 months

    Nice looking microwave, worked great until the unit stopped heating 13 months after purchase. Of course the warranty is 1 year. Called LG but they really didn't care that it no longer works! I would have expected this unit to work flawlessly for many years, not just one.

    AS FOR THE Microwave itself, it works good, but the extendavent, well, let's say after 3 yrs, I've had to replace it 3 times because it cracks from the heat, well, after the 3rd replacement, 6 months later, cracked AGAIN, WHY WOULD ANYONE DESIGN WITH PLASTIC ABOVE A HEAT SOURCE????? Not replacing again, buying a new Microwave after only 3 years and NOT an LG

    Lasted 5 years. 10 years is normal for a microwave. Appliance repair guy said "It's a paperweight now" and recommended that I DO NOT buy another LG product. Anybody reading this - now you know so don't go buying this and lamenting your purchase later. Stay away from this product, and per the appliance repair guy - the whole brand!

    Lasted less than 2 years

    I purchased this in Oct, 2013, and it quit in Aug 2015. Even then cheapest of microwaves have lasted longer than this. Very disappointed with LG. I wanted a complete LG stainless steel kitchen, and so far I have had to have my washer worked on, my refrigerator replaced and now will have to purchase a new microwave. I have extended warranties on all my appliances except the microwave. My opinion of LG is going down quick. And their customer service or should I say the extended warranty service though Pacific Sales is a riot. My refrigerator quit completely and after 3 weeks they still had not sent anyone out here to check it.
