Testing for functionality right after installation revealed the exhaust fan to be rattling from inside the unit producing excessive noise. A call to Bestbuy was made by the installer and a replacement unit was scheduled to be installed April 17. The replacement tested fine and was not used until the following day where the exhaust fan started to have whirring sound at any fan speed level. It is a loud high pitched noise. When the FAN OFF button is pressed, you can hear the fan to continously produce a whirring sound as it slows down. A call to LG customer rep reveals technician will only be available on May 17. Bestbuy's schedule for another replacement/delivery is also on May 17. I chose the Bestbuy option to try one more time. If it still fails, I will switch to another brand.
