    Compressor broke down at 2 month use

    I bought this refrigerator in November 2020. It started giving me a problem with ice making and cooling in January, even less than 2 months. Then it completely stopped working on 2/7/2021. I had to throw so much food on Super Bowl Sunday morning. The CL E error code is related to a compressor issue. The part is not even available for 2 months. I requested a replacement. I didn’t want to deal with the repair since it is definitely a lemon with a major defect. This appliance is not reliable. It will give the same problem over and over even with the replacement of the compressor. Who wants to exchange a compressor at a brand new $4000 worth refrigerator?! Best Buy doesn’t want to do anything for a customer since their 15 day return period is over and I didn’t buy their Geek Squad protection. LG’s replacement or reimbursement process takes up to 6 weeks. The approval is not even guaranteed. They may attempt to repair first. I have already lived without a refrigerator for a month and now unsure how long I have to live without a refrigerator.

    Refrig quit under a year

    The refrigerator was purchased from Best Buy in June 2023. Today the refrigerator stop working. In less than a year I am without a refrigerator with food in coolers and borrowed coolers. I've contacted LG and they are working on it. Not the kind of experience one would expect after paying $3200 for an LG. I will update this post on how quickly LG can fix this problem.

    LG Refrigerator Leaking

    I am furious with Best Buy. My refrigerator I purchased in January and had delivered on February 1st is leaking. I also took a picture of the unit I purchased to make sure I received the same one. When my refrigerator was delivered it now has a dent

    I bought the newest model of this refrigerator back in December. 2 days after delivery, the door wouldn’t open. They sent me somebody to fix it and 1 week later, it stopped dispensing water and ice. I requested an exchange and I never got contacted EVER by Best Buy about my exchange. Finally, in March. I physically visited the store and they told me that they didn’t have any other to replace it so I had to settle for this older model. By the way, upon delivery, they damaged my gate with their truck. Now waiting for insurance claim to go through so I can fix it

    This review is for the fridge not for BestBuy: This refrigerator is a joke. It broke after one year. Big issues cooling and keeping stuff cold. The ice in the ice compartment melted and the water dispenser started to leak. Good luck getting help calling LG customer service. You will waste your time, hours, just waiting on the line getting no where

    Compressor Died in 60 days - Terrible Cust Service

    DO NOT BUY!! This refrigerator arrived in January and we were very excited. It looks great, and got great reviews. The craft ice takes some time to get going, but is great. The middle drawer is very useful and when the fridge worked we loved it. However, just over 60 days into owning the refrigerator it began making a loud noise, and the temp skyrocketed overnight forcing me to throw out everything. Turns out the compressor died. 60 DAYS into a $4K refrigerator!!! LG sent out a repairman, who diagnosed the issue, and ordered the part. The part is on backorder and we now have to wait 2 weeks for the repair. I asked LG to provide a new unit, and they agreed. I waited a few days for the call to make the arrangements on replacing the unit and finally decided to call back to get the status. When I called back they told me that the customer service representative was wrong, and didn't do the proper checks. They apologized and said their hands are tied that all they can do is repair the unit. I feel incredibly defeated with no refrigerator for 2+ weeks, and regretting my purchase. Would not recommend.

    Do not buy this item from Best Buy in fact, do not buy anything from Best Buy. I have a Best Buy membership. I had service scheduled under my warranty when I called Best Buy. They told me no one ever made an appointment and you don’t have a warranty but when I look online, I do have a warranty. It says it right on the Best Buy site that I do have a warranty. I have attempted to get Best Buy to come out and fix my refrigerator for over a year and they will not come out to fix it now they’re saying they won’t cover it and essentially telling me that I’m a liar and never called them. So now I have a very expensive refrigerator with a broken icemaker and a door that will not seal.

    Quit Working in Less Than a Year

    Doesnt get cold enought to safely store food but LG refuses to fix it. Freezer can’t freeze ice cream solidly, fridge sits way up at like 45 degrees when it is set to 33 degress. I will totally avoid LG appliances after this experience.

    The space is limited inside the fridge on the bottom shelf because of the way the fridge is made. the bottom freezer has two drawers to place items. on the top drawer with only halfway comes out and you can’t see what even in there and then you pull the drawer out All the way and you can’t get it back on track. This is the worst refrigerator I have ever had in my whole life.

    Do not waste your money! Craft Ice maker stops working every 3-6 months. Water dispenser continually gets stopped up and won’t dispense water. Highly disappointed. Will never purchase an LG appliance again.

    Breaks zfter 6 weeks !?!

    Although I really liked this refrigerator for 6 weeks, this morning I woke up to find it leaking around the freezer and icemaker dispenser. As I looked more closely to try to figure out what was going on, I discovered that the freezer is not working properly so that none of the food in the freezer is frozen. This is despite the fact the the temperature read-out on the face of the refrigerator continues to say that the freezer temperature is still 0 degrees (as it has said since the day the refrigerator was delivered on 4/1/2021. Luckily, I purchased a warranty/repair plan - but the soonest a technician can come is in 5 days by which time all the food in the freezer will be unfrozen. I was told that the technician will attempt to repair the refrigerator as it can not be replaced if it breaks after 4 weeks. I am very concerned that I have a "lemon" (what refrigerator breaks after 6 weeks?) and hope that Best Buy will provide proper customer service and stand by what they have sold.

    Freeze fan error at 14 months.

    Like the design. Like many of the features. Don't like the freezer fan going out 2 months past the factory warranty and the service techs saying that is a common problem with these refrigerators. I ditched our Samsung for simliar issues. More money, more problems. At least I have craft ice now to help drown the issue.

    Personally I did not like this fridge. The door was too thick and being a counter depth fridge, you couldn’t put that much on the shelves. The freezer also wouldn’t keep our food frozen. When we bought this one, the prong on the cord was busted when we Brought it home and It all went downhill from there. Personally I hated this refrigerator.

    The fresh air filter housing seems to be broken, and it’s impossible to get anyone at LG to help. That filter seems to be difficult to install. Or maybe it’s just broken. I wouldn’t know, since I can’t find anyone at LG who is able to help. It makes me wonder what will happen if something bigger breaks down, before the first year expires. Once Best Buy takes over, as per my service plan, I’m hoping for better service, like someone explaining to me how that filter works.

    Refrigerator delivered in mid-Jan. Its now April (<3 months later) and the ice maker stopped working. The refrigerator is 50 degrees and things in the freezer are melting. Also, water/ice had a weird taste. At first we thought it was due to the fact it was a new fridge, but the taste never went away. Never had this problem with our old fridge or the Samsung we bought to replace the old fridge (had to return the Samsung, because it broke on day 2). Apparently lots of complaints about the ice maker and the cooling problems.

    Love the product, however, very disappointed in the delivery of this item. Purchased item on 9/3/23. Original scheduled date we had to postpone due to illness. Next delivery date, 11/22, item was delivered to address in another state, not the requested shipping address. Next delivery date 12/17, item was not on truck. No one at BB could tell me why. Item finally delivered 1/2. A refrigerator is a necessity for daily living!

    Worst Frig Ever

    Since the day we bought this frig we’ve had issues with the ice maker. LG replaced some parts a few months in but still have issues from time to time. Now that its been almost two years both ice makers stopped working and the freezer defrosted randomly.

    This is my 4th delivery attempt and failure. It ruins my day. Why can’t you improve your quality control so that the product isn’t damaged? This is ridiculous! I know other people who have this exact refrigerator from other vendors with no issues! I expect compensation and a new refrigerator that is perfect.
