From the standpoint of a refrigerator/freezer it is great. From an ice maker not so much. This LG refrigerator replaced an LG refrigerator that I was very happy with until it croaked. Not sure how old that one was as it was included when we bought the house 1 year ago. The old one made great ice, just not enough of it when we had guests. Since the new one had two ice makers, I thought it would be good for get-togethers. Really didn't know what "craft" ice was until I got the fridge. If you don't use ice very often this may not be an issue for you. For me, I use it every day. I drink about 4 LARGE glasses of Ice Tea and water every day. My complaint is the upper ice maker. The cubes are tiny. My guess is about 1/3 the size the previous LG fridge had. You can put 2-3 inches of them in a glass with a cold drink (from fridge) and they will all be melted in 10-15 minutes. It needs to be called a "Drink Diluter" rather than an Ice Maker. Yes, I know I can use the craft ice (ice balls about 2" in diameter). Since it only produces 3 (or 6) in 18-30 hours, I would be using more than can it can produce. Which segue's into the Fridge complaint. Only one about the fridge itself, the lower shelf on left door. It is not as deep as the two above it. Can't put much in it. The only reason I can see that this was done, was for aesthetics so the front edge of the 3 shelves all line up. I measured and you can put one of the upper shelves in that spot. Hopefully I can find a parts manual online and order one of the upper shelves. FYI - I've had it only 2 weeks and it doesn't make ANY ice for first 2-3 days.

Fridge is poor quality. Ice machine in the door works inconsistent. To the point where the entire water/ice function is disabled because of the error. For the price you would think you are "paying for what you get," but it is likely one would be better off with a lower priced fridge for the same functionality. Gets the 2nd start for the craft ice feature but the rest is extremely disappointing. Sadly it has the potential but LG gave zero care for quality.

I have had this fridge for only 1 1/2 years and it broke down twice. First the craft ice maker. When it was replaced they told me this part breaks all the time! A broken fancy ice maker is no big deal but now it is seriously broken. Code I'm getting means either the Compressor is shot or it has a freon link. This was a pretty expensive fridge with only 1 good feature, it's pretty. At time of purchase their was very little availability due to end of Covid problems and this was one of a few we could get delivered before we moved into our new house. Here I am 1 1/2 years later with no fridge. The Total Care Program we bought from Best Buy is making it worse, no openings to fix until 6/1. I was told they were putting in an "escalation" to get a 3rd party to repair, call back in 24 hours if we don't hear. Call back to find the rep I spoke to set it up incorrectly and the case had been closed!!!

Craft Ice just doesn't work. Evidently, it's a widespread problem with no real fix. It works for a while, but when it breaks, you hear loud clunking from the freezer as the ice won't knock out to the try below. I used the phone app to open a ticket, but I read that after the craft ice module replacement, it works for a while and dies again. If it weren't for that issue, I'd say we really love the fridge. Smart looks, smart app, smart design. It's been handy to change the middle tray from refrigerating to freezing.

Not great fridge, after almost two year the condenser fan making a squeaky noise and should be replaced with out of warranty which costs around $400.

Unfortunately, from the very beginning we’ve had issues with this model. Freezer stopped freezing a total of six times in 8 months, water leaking from the ice machine, compressor had a hole afyer a “repair” etc. Several LG technician “repairs” later they are finally agreeing to give us a credit in the amount we paid to put towards any refrigerator in stock at Best Buy. Dealing with LG hasn’t been so great but STEVE with Geek Squad has really gone above and beyond and for that reason alone, I will still make all my big purchases at best buy.

There is apparently an issue with the craft ice maker. We’ve had it replaced 2x since we purchased it Feb 2022. Appliance repair guy said he replaces them often enough to know there’s an issue. The ice machine fails to release the craft ice into the bin below and then runs water through to create more. Which then runs down into the bin creating a puddle that freezes.

Refrigerator is nice design but on the first two days the temperature varied all varied all over the place. Had the refrigerator set at 35 degrees and freezer at minus 7 degrees. Both would not hold temperature. Refrigerator varied from 29 degrees to 50 degrees.day to day. Freezer varied from plus 5 degrees to 10 degrees plus. Had refrigerator two weeks and it never got straightened out. Best Buy was very helpful and replaced with another model.

The refrigerator has cooling issues less than 3 months after purchase. My wife woke up one morning to put up nursing milk to store in the freezer and found thawed items and milk. Called LG and they were no help. A new refrigerator shouldn’t be having these issues. Would never purchase a LG appliance again.

Fridge is nice but the ice maker broke twice in under a year and a half. First was withni warranty and took awhile to schedule, second was right after the very short (intentionally short) warranty expired

Works great but very noisy and ended up return it. Replace with same LG but much better and different one.

Mixed feelings about this refrigerator. We have the black stainless and love the look. We also like the convertible compartment - its where we keep the most used frozen goods (bagels, fruit for smoothies, pints of ice cream :-), The reason for giving only two stars is the ice makers and the vibrations. The in-door ice maker is poorly designed. The ice tray deposits the ice on one side of the bucket and the small cubes bind there. About once per week I have to open the door to dislodge the clump. To do this you have to use the plastic handle that is surely not made for this frequent of use and will fail before too long. The real issue is the craft ice maker in the bottom freezer. We like the size and are not concerned about the slow pace. We empty the tray into a plastic bag frequently so always have some on hand. No, the issue is that it has been replaced twice already (in less than a year) with another service scheduled for Tuesday 17 Aug. The problem is that the ice balls will get stuck in the mold and the unit will not recognize that. Instead it tries to fill the molds and the water spills into the tray. There it freezes binding all of the balls in to a solid mass. Poor design. Poor engineering - using plastic gears to dislodge heavy ice - is a failure waiting to happen. So far all done under warranty but we're thankful we bought the insurance plan as this is likely to be a recurring issue. The other issue is the vibration of the left hand door is terrible. I think that it is tied to the ice maker as well as I haven't noticed it since I turned off the maker because the water filter will not seat - something else for the technician to address on Tuesday. So all in all the negatives out weigh the positives and I cannot recommend this unit. At nearly $4000 it should be flawless. This is far from it.
