The 2nd was better than the 1st.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered the LG 22.5 because of the size, counter depth and all of the bells and whistles. Ordered online and it was delivered 3 days after purchase. Delivery man slightly dented the door while putting it in place. Plugged it in and worked for about 5 hours and then everything shut down. Something about the coolant leaking. All of my food was spoiled. Went into Best Buy the next day to have them resolve the issue. The new fridge could not be delivered for 5 more days. We finally got the 2nd fridge delivered and we love it. So far all systems are go. Love the door in door feature and the craft ice. It's a very nice looking fridge. It's been 5 days and so far so good. Fingers crossed!

What a dream!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a dream! We were a little leery of a higher priced appliance, but boy, it does NOT disappoint! The space is tremendous and it seems way more spacious than we expected, especially for a counter-depth fridge! I love the drawer that can be used for anything from chilling beverages, to an extra freezer space! So versatile. Plus, it is nice to have different options for water amounts to fill your cup! Love the door in door, which allows access to more frequently used items like creamer and almond milk, and...it has a little “beep” that goes off after the doors are left open for too long! Helpful and attractive!

Nice Overall, but Pricey for What it is.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is for the LG - 22.5 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Counter-Depth Refrigerator with Door-in-Door and Craft Ice - Black stainless steel (LRMDC2306D). This is my first French Door-type refrigerator, and I’ve been using Nir for only two days now, so I hope that I address what others are looking for in a review. And for the hefty price for this refrigerator, I’ll start with what has left me a bit disappointed (but overall, pleased). First, the control panels (external and inside) do not present the actual temperature of the refrigerator or freezer as my previous GE refrigerator did - only the temps you select. The refrigerator/freezer have a temp sensor, so LG should have included the ability to display the actual temperature for such an expensive device. Second, the two ice makers (in-door and bottom freezer Craft Ice) really do, as someone else stated in their review, feel a bit gimmicky. The Craft Ice “spheres” are produced at only 3 or 6 over a 24-hour period, are very small, and aren’t full spheres (a Craft Ice mold does a better job over a much shorter period of time), and aren’t clear like Craft ice should be (this may be the air that the water department pumps into our supply because there is a filter for the water, on top of the whole house water filters I have). The in-door ice cubes are also very small and gimmicky and the bin capacity is worryingly small (not sure there will be enough at full capacity when I have guests). Third, the adjustable drawer-dividers in the that slide left-and-right in both top and bottom drawers don’t lock in place which allows items stored there to shift as you open/close the drawers. Fourth, the freezer (bottom) drawer, which is split into two levels, is designed so that both levels are pulled out when the drawer is opened and there is no what to adjust it so that the top level can be manually opened/closed when needed. This has the effect of making assess to the lower level/bin more difficult. Fifth, most shelves in the refrigerator doors (separate from the door-indoor shelves) are very shallow - limiting storage to items that are thin and short. This is due to the in-door ice maker/ water dispenser and door-in-door features. Sixth, the control panel button titles (letters) are black (unless selected and illuminated) and virtually impossible to find unless your kitchen overhead lighting is on, and even then a bit difficult to find. Lastly, this device has WiFi and connects to your home network using the ThinQ app - but this also feels gimmicky as there’s very little you can do with the app - only set the temp, set Craft ice to 3 or 6 spheres, toggle on/off the IcePlus feature, see how many times you’ve opened doors, and receive info on filters, etc. With today’s technology, this expensive refrigerator could, at the very least, have included cameras viewable through the ThinQ app to see ice levels and food items (while at the grocery store) and show you the actual temps. Now, what I love about this refrigerator. First, the black, brushed stainless steel is beautiful and gives a much more modern look, yet doesn’t stand-out too much like regular stainless steel does (in my opinion). Second, I love the door-in-door feature, which allows me to store/access enough of the items I frequently use without opening the full door and letting cold air out. Third, the Full-convert drawer (middle compartment) can be set to be used as another freezer or used as a chiller for wine, soda, cheeses, etc. I use it as a chiller for the sparkling water I drink throughout the day, which also limits the number of times I open the refrigerator doors. Fourth, the capacity/configuration of the refrigerator compartment is spacious enough for food for a family of 3-4, and more convenient to access without having to bend over. A medium pizza box fits flat without blocking the doors, and it looks like a large may also fit. The shelving configuration options are a bit limited, requiring a bit of a tilt of taller items when inserting them, but once past the edge of to e shelves, they stand upright with a lot of storage availability. A collapsable half-shelf provides space for approximately 3-4 taller items, such as bottles of wine. Fifth, the LED lighting illumination for the refrigerator and door/door-in-door compartments is very good, giving a more modern feel, and the lights over each of the drawers do a good job at nighttime when you choose not to turn on the kitchen lights. Overall, I’m pleased with this refrigerator, despite the hefty price tag, which I believe is partly influenced by supply chain/inventory issues. That said, I probably would have been just as pleased with a model half the price had one not been on backorder for more than a month (my old refrigerator went out and the estimates to repair it justified the additional expense for a new one). I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars probably because I’m influenced by my excitement over the first time purchasing a new refrigerator, and the newest model of one, and having a French Door model for the first time. I’m ONLY deducting one star for the high price because I think that is influenced more by inventory shortages everywhere.

Beautiful Fridge with a usability caveat
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Striking appliance in my kitchen! More space than prior GE Profile counter-depth fridge, but not as much shelf configurability. Top main shelves can go down one notch, OR bottom shelves up one notch. Having difficult time creating space for standard items, like a salad dressing bottle! Won't fit in main area without above shelf changes, or half shelf slide (which then results in loss of usable shelf surface). Forced to use door shelves for any items of this height or larger, and I'm counting 19 items in my fridge that are in this height category.

Love everything but the interior size
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So let me start with overall, function wise, we love the fridge. The ice makers are solid, the feel is right, the drink door and adjustable middle drawer is awesome!! With all that said, I wish I would’ve realized that I didn’t need the counter depth fridge. Had I realized this, I would’ve bought the larger 29cb ft unit. The one major downfall and reason it lost a star was the interior depth of this 22.5cb ft fridge. You can’t put a 12pack of soda in without opening it. It also won’t fit a large pizza box. If we had a large family, this fridge would not work…. Period.

New LG Refrigerator
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice lines on this replacement Refrigerator. My previous LG which was only 7 years and 9 months old died suddenly when the compressor bit the dust. They build these things to last 8-10 years these days. The only disappointment is the ice/water selection must be manually changed each time you want either as opposed to my previous LG where they came out of two different slots. Overall, pretty happy except for the shocking sticker price of almost $4K out the door.

Happy with our new refrigerator
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far we like it very much. The side door storage is a bit narrow. Otherwise we are happy so far. The craft ice looks great. Makes just several a day but it’s all fine so far.

LG Counter Depth Refrigerator. Working Great!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are extremely happy with our new LG refrigerator. It is a counter-depth, but surprisingly roomy. The door-in-door option holds a lots of "stuff" that would normally crowd your shelves. The only draw-back is the water is a little loud when it fills up in the frig and the ice makes a lot of noise when it is dumping.

A solid, good fridge so far
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have only had this refrigerator for one week, but are happy with it thus far. High points...it produces a good amount of ice, it runs quietly, and it looks attractive. Low points...the interior metal damage is easily and since it is a counter depth fridge, it is somewhat limited on space. Hopefully this fridge will function wonderfully for a long time.

Beautiful black stainless steel
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The refrigerator is beautiful on the outside, and we are very happy that we went with the black stainless. The inside is clean and bright; however I wish the trays in the door were a little bit deeper. Not much fits inside those door trays because they are too narrow for even a bottle of ketchup. The door in door is very efficient, and works well for those every day items you want access to, such as milk, creamer, butter, etc. You can hear the ice maker when it is filling with water, but it’s not excessively loud. The craft ice is a nice added feature, but it’s truly just a gimmick in my mind, especially given that it can only make three i per day. We’ve turn it off because we don’t have a need for it; but I wish I could gain that freezer space back, since I’m not using the ice maker or tray. My biggest issue is the size of the freezer; however, that’s the price you pay when you get a counter depth. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase.

Disappointed
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have mixed feelings about the refrigerator. I like the layout of drawers and shelves. I like the craft ice. The left side door has a edge that is supposed to catch in a groove and flip a piece out so the two doors seal together. It doesn’t always catch so there is a gap between the doors when they’re closed. The water and ice taste like plastic. I have changed the filter and followed the directions for processing water to clear this problem four times. The first glasses of glasses of water every time we get water still taste like plastic. It’s been 3 weeks.

Beautiful!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful appliance, works great! Although I would not have opted to include craft ice, it is not an option to leave out and I don't mind it. However, it does take up precious freezer real estate. Would not recommend French doors if the fridge is against a wall on either side because you can not fully open the door without additional clearance. Note that the counter depth will still stick out from a standard depth counter, although not nearly as far as standard depth. Get the standard depth if you can because 22.5 cu. ft. is less than you think. The Door-In-Door and Convertible Drawer are awesome!

A little pricey but worth it.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Moved into a new house and had to purchase a new refrigerator. My wife and I had decided on a different refrigerator when the Best Buy associate started asking us what we were looking for in a refrigerator. Long story short after consulting with the Best Buy associate we went this refrigerator. More than what we wanted to spend but had to die to needed counter depth refrigerator. So far I love it. Sharp looking refrigerator that makes the sphere ice balls as well as regular ice. Glad we purchased it.

Almost perfect!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my fridge! Love the door-in-door, the craft ice, and the middle drawer to keep my wine cold. Not thrilled it didn't come with a cheese and cold-cut bin. Also, when I open the bottom drawer, the ice bin is attached, so that comes out, leaving less room to put stuff IN to the bottom drawer. I guess I'll get used to it, because I love everything else about it!

Nice refrigerator for those that want a small unit
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Refrigerator looks great although the counter-depth unit lacks the space of our old unit. The ice maker in the refrigerator section works great, the craft ice maker in the freezer section quit working in about a week. Getting LG warranty support has been cumbersome.

Love the Craft Ice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Refrigerator - Love the craft ice. Works well, is quiet, looks great. Our only complaint is that the shelve are not very tall. We had to put a lot of our stuff into our garage refrigerator because there wasn't enough room for taller products in this layout

great product
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fingerproof is a great feature, never worry about finger print and hard work of cleaning. Double door is excellent, it can hold many drinks and easy to get. Craft ice ball, I haven't use them but they looks cute. Middle drawer, it can be set to different mode. Wifi connection to the app on mobile phone, only very limited functions.
