This is a nice looking Fridge, definitely a buy ..

This is our first french door refrigerator and I wish we'd just gone with another side-by-side, or top or bottom freezer type. The doors don't try to close by themselves and you need to be aware to kind of push to ensure closure; also, if you close the wrong side first, the other side won't close at all. You have to make sure the mullion on the left door is folded in for it to work properly. The ice maker is only BARELY adequate for two people - very, very slow to make ice. There is always a thin layer of ice on the side of the ice basket...surely that can't be right. We thought it would be nice not to have the water/ice dispensers on the outside (a cleaner look), but I find I don't really care to have to open that left door all the time to get filtered water. If you load glass jars on the left side, you'll find the weight actually makes the door unlevel, so you have to "balance" your items in each door. We had to use shelf space instead of the door storage for a lot of stuff. There is a removable rectangle at the top back of the refrigerator labeled "Multi Air Flow". The store told us this was for an air filter - none came with the unit, so I called LG Customer Service to ask what kind of air filter we needed and would they please send one since we didn't get it on delivery? The rep was very sweet, but entirely clueless, and directed me to the WATER filter, kept putting me on hold to ask her manager. She kept trying to tell me my purchase was associated with my son's name and address (he had bought an LG TV some years ago, and had warned us he had been unhappy with their service, but...). She finally supposedly created a "new" account for us (I think). I was on the phone for an hour, finally thanked her for trying, called back and spoke with somebody in sales who told me this model does not REQUIRE a filter...<sigh> The LG sales guy volunteered that LG Customer Service Reps aren't really very well trained. It looks nice, and we like the counter-depth feature. It's pretty quiet. And it was delivered in 2 days which we appreciated since our old fridge was about to die. The sales person was very nice.

Love the design of this fridge. The in-door storage is great deep and convenient. The inside water delivery works great and the filter is easy to access for quick replacement. The dual freezers is very handy, as the ice is up higher, in the top drawer and we keep things we access less often in the lower drawer…things like meats. We’re also loving the LED lighting on the inside of the fridge.

So far so good only time will tell we replaced a whirlpool after 19 years

Fridge space is big. Freezer space is small. The water inside the fridge is a great feature.

We got this refrigerator for a family of two that is planning on growing soon. We had family over for thanksgiving (6 total counting us) and noticed we were stacking containers and food to make it all fit - I also had to take out the yeti coolers for beer and other beverages. We have no additional refrigerator for overfills so we decided to return this one and go with the bigger non-counter-depth version since we don't really care about it sticking out... besides, we didn't notice any aesthetics issues with the bigger version. I'd probably go with a counter-depth version only if I had an additional refrigerator and if the aesthetics really had a huge impact on how my kitchen looks.

We are very happy with our new refrigerator, it looks very beautiful, works wonderfully and very quiet.

Fits neatly into my counter space, gleams and looks amazing. only problem ... does not keep the food cold. for food not to rot, FDA advises it to be between 36-40F. my cheap garage refrigerator maintains 38-39F steady measure with same thermometer. LG does varies between 42-46F WHEN I keep it it at coldest setting 34F. No way it will hold up. I am exchanging for same model hoping I got bad unit, and even then I will doubt quality control. Interestingly, it took more than 72 hours after I plugged it in, so I suspect the compressor just is not powerful enough. will post an update if second one turns out dud as well Too long to get into best buy delivery -- they did not speak English, just plugged it in and left. no leveling, no putting water filter, no taking out the zillion yards of clingwrap. (full credit - all other deliveries have been excellent, professional).

The design gives way more room than other brands, love this fridge.

We're happy with most aspects of this refrigerator. The interior spaces are well designed and the temperature seems to be well controlled throughout. Our only reservation so far is a knocking noise that occurs every hour or two. From the LG website, we gather that this does not indicate a problem with the refrigerator operation but it is a bit disconcerting until you get used to it.

I bought the refrigerator in September, 2020; in April, 2021 the fuse blew out the main board. It took one week to repair the refrigerator; I had not use of the refrigerator for one week. You can only imagine the inconvenience this has caused and I have an elder animal that is on a special diet which requires her food to be refrigerated. Two weeks later and I am still waiting LG to even contact me regarding my food loss. I would be very very cautious in purchasing this refrigerator as I have heard from other LG owners this is a very common breakdown in their refrigerators.

Designed well, very functional, definitely recommend

The only thing stopping me from giving this 5 stars is the freezer storage area. Once you put some bread and a couple of left over dishes and some ice cream there isn’t much room left over. Everything else is very good. Door shelves provide excellent storage as do the veggie drawers. Interior shelves also very good.
