Handsome, tons of space, craft ice not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was going to get a more subdued fridge w/o ice/water on the door but saw the Craft Ice feature on the LG and was sold. In general great fridge. So much more usable space than the GE fridge it replaced. Crazy knowing both fridges have the exact same measurements. Rich looking inside, doesn't smudge on the outside. Runs quiet except with the party Craft Ice drops it's 3 nuggets. So on to the Craft Ice, that's why your here now isn't it? The pics provided by LG show crystal clear ice that look like about 2.5 to 3 inches in diameter based on the glass and models hand. I just reread the product description on BB and I didn't see ice dimensions. If you download the product manual off the LG site it does say 2 inches. So the Craft Ice balls are two inches, one end tends to be a bit flat with a dimple, the rest of the ball perfectly round. They are clear, not quite the crystal clear from the product images but about 85-90% clear for me. When they are plunked into a drink they look even clearer. They said the water supply can affect things but where this fridge resides the water is excellent, also water goes through the supplied filter so was expecting better. I waited one month before doing this review as they say the Craft Ice get better over time. And it goes get better, the first week or so the Craft Ice is a bit malformed and not so clear. Sometime in the second week the Craft Ice peaked and has remained consistent. They're good, I like them but was slightly disappointed hence the 4 out of 5 stars. They come in batches of 3 and each batch takes 18-24hr. There is a cool option to double the speed but they say the clearness degrades. I haven't tried the 6/day but will and update this review. Just fyi there is regular old-school ice too that comes out the front door, smaller size cubes which I like, regular cube shape, creates quickly, operates well. LG cleverly put the regular ice bin in the left French door behind the food panel. E\asy to get to if you want to pull out the regular ice out to fill an ice bucket. So don't think you'll run out of ice. Just the big boys take a day, and I will say, they are worth the wait. All that aside, I do like the Craft Ice. I had tried molds, they're never clear even using boiled and distilled water, plus what a pain. Right now I have about 30+ almost perfect bad boy balls of ice in my fridge heading into the weekend. How cool is that! Cheers!

Great fridge with fast icemaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had the fridge delivered on 11/3/20. Delivery and installation went very smoothly, especially considering the amount of stairs and sharp turns they had to maneuver! The delivery team gets an A+ from me! The door finish does a good job of not showing fingerprints. We are very pleased with the french door style and ease of use as compared to our previous side by side model. The internal space is well laid out and it feels much roomier that our last fridge. I was surprised by how much regular ice it produces. With 4 heavy ice users in the house, we've yet had it run out. Craft ice is a bit slow, but that's for special drinks. It makes 3 per day. Oh yeah...the "craft ice" looks like little Death Stars! One thing to consider, is the way the door hinges are positioned. On our previous model (Kitchenaid side by side) the door hinges were much closer to the door corners. The LG hinges are sitting further back from the front. This would not be an issue unless you had the fridge right up against a wall or doorway to the side. The door wouldn't open all the way as it was touching the doorway trim. The options were to just not push the fridge all the way back or trim the doorway trim piece. I paid more for a counter depth model, so I cut the trim.

Nice refrigerator

Great fridge, but craft ice stopped working
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fridge is terrific. Everything works great with plenty of room inside. Couldn’t have fit the space better. However, 10 days after purchase, the craft ice maker (which is a main selling feature of this refrigerator) stopped making ice. Thankfully, the warranty will take care of it, but the part is backordered. It’s a big pain and taking time. Hopefully, LG can work this bug out and put better craft ice makers in future fridges.

Great French door fridge
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far a good. Love the counter depth so it doesn’t stick out so far into the kitchen, though I wish there were options that were an inch or two wider to add back some of the cubic feet lost with the counter depth size. As a fridge and freezer, it’s doing its job fine; not quite as quiet as I had expected given its ratings for noise level, but not terrible. It’s about the same as our old Kenmore (which I think was an LG build). It’s not noisy per se, but you get the same gurgles and such from the coolant and the compressor is still noticeable when running. Maybe it’s worse because ours is exposed on its left side. To that end, I wish it didn’t have the visible vent on its left side, but we knew about that from the photos before ordering. Ice production seems fine, and the water dispenser works well with a sufficient flow rate. We love the extra room for wide things in the fridge compared to our old side-by-side model. Install was pretty easy and straight forward. The wifi connectivity is a bit gimmicky, but oh well. At least it gives a little extra feedback and control; you can turn on and off the accelerated ice production mode and set/view the temperature settings. Visually, besides that nagging vent on the left side, it’s a very attractive refrigerator that looks great in the space. The stainless steel so far seems to be living up to its claim of not showing fingerprints.

Just what we needed.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good. This was purchased for a new home. The counter depth looks great - extends only 2-3 inches from the edge of the counter. Runs super quiet, does what it says it does. Craft ice is a nice touch. Being smaller was a concern to my wife, but there is plenty of room. Especially nice is the icemaker in the door, and the ability to pull out the bin - something some brands don't offer.

Love the French Door LG
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love our new LG French Door Refrigerator. We have had side by side refrigerators for many years, but no longer. the French Door opens up the space in the refrigerator for more storage and easy access. This model is quiet, cold and looks great in our kitchen. The Craft Ice is kinda cool!! So far quality is excellent - no issues.

Very Nice Refrigerator
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit is an all around very good performer. The black finish is beautiful and the counter depth lets it fit easily into almost any kitchen. The interior is well designed and has more than enough room to suit most families. The ice maker is embedded inside the left door which means more shelf space on that side. The craft ice maker produces large ice globes for highball glasses. It sends its cubes to a bin in the freezer but if you don't need them, the device can be shut off which gives you more storage in the freezer compartment. The freezer itself is relatively roomy but it's best to plan how to store various items to maximize it space. The outer water and ice dispenser works well although it takes some practice to avoid the ice cubes or crushed ice from spurting out an onto the floor. Although LG states that setting the refrigerator compartment at 37 degrees is optimal, I've found that a 35 degree setting works best for me. There are fewer temperature swings and everything stays wonderfully cold.

LG Refrigerator review
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, very satisfied with this product. I can’t give it a five star rating yet only because I consider myself still being in the early stage of ownership & still learning about it. I can say that I love the capacity, ease of operation, custom ice feature & drawer space. Also like how there is enough clearance in the water / ice dispenser area for a variety of larger sized containers to fit.

great fridge and plenty of space for counter depth
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG fridge is the only counter depth fridge that has enough space. This has a fun feature that you can make spherical ice balls and the kids love it. Also have the regular cubed ice on top. Overall good fridge but he compressor and fan are quick to go (within 3 years) This is my third fridge since 2015. make sure to get the extended warranty that will be your only saving grace

Happy with purchase.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After looking at many refrigerators to replace a Jennair side by side we have been very happy with the GE. The quality bus good and the craft ice is a nice feature. The lighting is good and there is plenty of space for everyday food and drinks. The counter depth means it fits properly and does not stick out into the kitchen area. Overall so far very happy with the purchase

Can't find a thing wrong with it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This refrigerator is roomy and it's very easy to see and reach items. I make great use of the wide shelves on the right hand door. The icemaker is so easy to open and close, and the extra Craft ice maker is so fun. My friends love the big round ice balls that it makes, and they look so pretty in a jug of clear or almost-clear liquid, such as lemonade or water.

Good quality fridge
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This fridge fit perfectly in our kitchen—we’re glad we spent the extra money in getting the counter depth version, it definitely makes a difference. The craft ice balls are great—a little smaller than expected but they’re a good addition. There’s plenty of space in both fridge and freezer. The fruit/veggie settings are very helpful!

Good value and available space for smaller areas
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Attractive fridge. It holds far more food than the fridge it replaced, despite its external dimensions being smaller. I really like this he internal layout, and there is flexible storage for tall containers (milk) etc. Th freezer has a three lawyer storage system which is also very efficient and holds a lot. The WIFI connectivity is an interesting but largely inconsequential feature. The dual ice makers are cool. However, if you have family spending more time at home in the southern summer than normal due to COVID or whatever, the production capacity will likely be lacking. I’d rather the Kraft ice just be another normal ice maker. There is an option for “fast ice” production, but it doesn’t make seem to make that big a difference and it automatically switches off every 24 hrs to without an override option. On the call whole though very pleased with purchase.
