The ice maker will work for about 9-15 months then it will start getting jammed the company will not do anything for you and there is currently a class action suit working it's way through the courts. You can replace the ice maker for a couple hundred bucks but within months it will start doing the same. BestBuy and LG in my opinion should not be selling a product with a known deficiency like this. Also is someone manipulating the ratings because this is an issue with almost all of these ice makers

Error code and problems after only a year and 1/2

Started with an occasional drip from ice dispenser but lowering the freezer temp by 2 degrees seemed to solve that. Then some odd noises in the weeks after, and now we have an error code showing on the door. The ThinQ app says fan motor issue. Repair service scheduled. Frustrating to have these issues with a relatively new appliance.

Disappointing Purchase

The craft ice option is cool. Cons: I have to pretty much pull everything out of my freezer to see what I have. I lost freezer space and now have to buy a chest freezer. I run out of regular ice daily. The ice maker seems like it has to wake up from a deep sleep to dispense ice. The water is not cold at all. I have to add ice in order to drink the water. The ice cubes are small and tend to melt really fast. The ice storage bucket is pretty small. I am disappointed with this purchase. The issues I listed above I did not have to deal with on my old discontinued fridge. I sacrificed a lot of what I needed for something that 'looks nice.' Tho, I thought I would be getting more of what I needed with this purchase. Instead, I have to buy another freezer. I do not recommend this product.

Bad refrigerator seal around right door

Do not buy Craft Ice or work w/ LG Cust Support

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not recommend the Craft ice - nor LG support - absolutely horrible. 2 ice maker replace, 1 circuit board replace, 1 certified lg tech saying everything is perfect (but no ice), countless requests for the same purchase receipt. and changing rules on an 'unrepairable/in-warranty' product. Rest of the frig works fine, but I paid a premium for this to go into my bar. LG Cust service does not call back or follow up - they are very professional and curtious on the phone, but its been 2+ months dealing with this still unresolved issue. They are going to run out the clock on the warranty repair - I have 3 more months to go, but no confidence.

Don't buy this one.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved the way it looked in the store; however, try putting 2 bottles of wine and 2 half-gallons of milk in the the push-back shelf where you recommend putting things to keep colder; it's way too short. Did anyone designing this even measure ANY bottles, whether wine, many sauces, etc.-most are too tall, some by even just an inch. What were you guys thinking? If I could have, I'd have returned it. The other shelves are all the same size-if I wanted to adjust them, one would be way to short for anything more than a few inches high.

Don't be fooled by DUAL ice makers

We really love the look of this refrigerator and it had the dual ice maker. What we failed to acknowledge was the amount of ice it makes. This refrigerator with BOTH ice makers doesn't make a much ice as my old refrigerator with only one. It is our own negligence for not researching before purchasing it. We do alot of entertaining so having dual ice maker We thought would produce much more ice. This is not the case. I regret this purchase

Don't pay extra for the craft ice

In door icemaker also freezes and joins up cubes in receptacle on a weekly basis and has to be taken out and shaken up to free things up again.. Seems like poor design issues.

nice looking however icemakers go out alot

We have had ours for 15 months and have had to have repair people out 4 times due to issues with both icemakers going out. LG and BB customer service were also difficult to deal with.

Craft Ice Maker failed less than 24 months

The ice maker only worked 3 months before making all the terrible popping sounds. Even the regular ice maker freezes all the ice in the corner and prevents new ice from being made. Avoid

Problem with icemaker

Nice fridge but ice maker is slow and inadequate

The craft ice maker takes 18 hours to make 6 balls of ice. The regular ice maker cannot keep up.

LG is not Supported by Best By
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this LG Refrigerator against recommendations of friends based on frequent failures and slow support from LG. At 1st we loved this refrigerator so spacious, sleek looking and the ice maker both craft and regular are spectacular. The refrigerator was delivered on 8/17/2020 and our 1st failure is today on 11/1/2020. We called Best Buy and we were forwarded directly to LG, it seems Best Buy sells but does not support LG products. On a Sunday I was able to reach LG and schedule a repair for 11/9/2020, so I am now without a refrigerator for at least a week. The bottom line never purchases an LG product from Best Buy and from now on I will buy appliances from local retailers with repairs capabilities.
