Was going to get a more subdued fridge w/o ice/water on the door but saw the Craft Ice feature on the LG and was sold. In general great fridge. So much more usable space than the GE fridge it replaced. Crazy knowing both fridges have the exact same measurements. Rich looking inside, doesn't smudge on the outside. Runs quiet except with the party Craft Ice drops it's 3 nuggets. So on to the Craft Ice, that's why your here now isn't it? The pics provided by LG show crystal clear ice that look like about 2.5 to 3 inches in diameter based on the glass and models hand. I just reread the product description on BB and I didn't see ice dimensions. If you download the product manual off the LG site it does say 2 inches. So the Craft Ice balls are two inches, one end tends to be a bit flat with a dimple, the rest of the ball perfectly round. They are clear, not quite the crystal clear from the product images but about 85-90% clear for me. When they are plunked into a drink they look even clearer. They said the water supply can affect things but where this fridge resides the water is excellent, also water goes through the supplied filter so was expecting better. I waited one month before doing this review as they say the Craft Ice get better over time. And it goes get better, the first week or so the Craft Ice is a bit malformed and not so clear. Sometime in the second week the Craft Ice peaked and has remained consistent. They're good, I like them but was slightly disappointed hence the 4 out of 5 stars. They come in batches of 3 and each batch takes 18-24hr. There is a cool option to double the speed but they say the clearness degrades. I haven't tried the 6/day but will and update this review. Just fyi there is regular old-school ice too that comes out the front door, smaller size cubes which I like, regular cube shape, creates quickly, operates well. LG cleverly put the regular ice bin in the left French door behind the food panel. E\asy to get to if you want to pull out the regular ice out to fill an ice bucket. So don't think you'll run out of ice. Just the big boys take a day, and I will say, they are worth the wait. All that aside, I do like the Craft Ice. I had tried molds, they're never clear even using boiled and distilled water, plus what a pain. Right now I have about 30+ almost perfect bad boy balls of ice in my fridge heading into the weekend. How cool is that! Cheers!

I like this refrigerator for the counter depth and the size. I did take one shelf out for taller items and think there could be more spaces added to the bottom to have more options for adjusting the shelf heights. I am still getting used to organizing the freezer drawer. It seems to keep my veggies fresh longer. Overall, I am happy with the refrigerator.

Great size and features but the craft ice is made slowly. For a counter depth refrigerator seems spacious.

    LG tilting right refrigerator

This refrigerator was delivered and tilted to the right, the delivery and set up people could not correct this condition and recommended a replacement. The floor, where two previous refrigerators GE and Electrolux have been before, is perfectly level and the kitchen cabinet is perfectly square, so the tilting LG refrigerator must have a design and/or manufacturing defect. A Best Buy agent called me and we arranged for the replacement to be delivered on 11/30/2021: when it came it had the same tilting right condition. We like the refrigerator, however the tilting righ condition prevents it being leveled with the two front adjustable feet that are intended to only tilt the refrigerator towards the back so that the two doors will self close when opened 45°. I had expressed to the Best Buy agent I spoke about a replacement that if the tilting condition would be in the replacement that we would want to had it replaced by a refrigerator of another brand, and she said that that was a possibility. Being that the case

This LG is nicely equipped with smooth opening drawers. We like the craft ice maker with stylus large cubes. The regular ice maker is space saving unit as well.

This refrigerator is a good size but a bit pricey. One annoyance is that it's a counter depth fridge (which you pay a premium for) but you need to have a large gap between the wall and the back of the fridge otherwise it overheats. Thus, no longer a counter depth fridge. My wife likes the craft ice though.

So far, very satisfied with this product. I can’t give it a five star rating yet only because I consider myself still being in the early stage of ownership & still learning about it. I can say that I love the capacity, ease of operation, custom ice feature & drawer space. Also like how there is enough clearance in the water / ice dispenser area for a variety of larger sized containers to fit.

The LG fridge is the only counter depth fridge that has enough space. This has a fun feature that you can make spherical ice balls and the kids love it. Also have the regular cubed ice on top. Overall good fridge but he compressor and fan are quick to go (within 3 years) This is my third fridge since 2015. make sure to get the extended warranty that will be your only saving grace

Attractive fridge. It holds far more food than the fridge it replaced, despite its external dimensions being smaller. I really like this he internal layout, and there is flexible storage for tall containers (milk) etc. Th freezer has a three lawyer storage system which is also very efficient and holds a lot. The WIFI connectivity is an interesting but largely inconsequential feature. The dual ice makers are cool. However, if you have family spending more time at home in the southern summer than normal due to COVID or whatever, the production capacity will likely be lacking. I’d rather the Kraft ice just be another normal ice maker. There is an option for “fast ice” production, but it doesn’t make seem to make that big a difference and it automatically switches off every 24 hrs to without an override option. On the call whole though very pleased with purchase.

The counter depth works perfect in my kitchen. Plant of refer and freezer space. Shows no fingerprints except some smudges on the handles which just wipe off. Love the two ice makers but wish the upper one held more ice.

Fantastic Refrigerator - But Craft Ice Not Perfect

I am now on month 11 of owning this refrigerator - and was in love with it up until this month. When I went to Best Buy to work with an associate on this purchase - I stressed the importance of the ice maker not being awful, as my wife and I dealt with that on our previous set (Samsung French Door with ice in the fridge). I was reassured that LG had never had an issue with their icemakers - so we took the plunge. $3500 for a refrigerator is NOT a small amount of money, so we felt that the cost must be due to better parts being used. For the last week I've noticed a thin sheet of ice in our craft ice bin. I had initially wondered if the door had been left open overnight or something - leading to melting ice. This was not the case. There were frozen craft ice balls in the rubber molds that would not release into the bin - so the ice maker would then run another cycle and pour water over the already frozen ice balls - leading to the water dripping into the bin and freezing. I Googled this issue, and found people's complaints stemming back to early 2020 about this exact issue. I also found a website that was preparing a class action lawsuit on the issue. LG has, evidently, not taken ownership of this problem with its craft ice makers on these first models - so we're left where I'm now at. I had to take a hairdryer (a flashback to owning our crappy Samsung set) to melt the craft ice enough in the molds to release them. I then had to hit the reset button under the ice maker to force it to release them into the bin - and then it began another cycle. I then dumped and cleaned the ice bin, and have been running it on the slow (more clear) ice setting. It has made two or three sets now without issue. My worry is that I've read far worse issues than this regarding this problem, so my fingers shall remain crossed that this will be our only issue with the fridge. Other than the craft ice issue - everything else has been fantastic. It looks great, it's quiet, and the regular ice maker are all functioning great.

There is a lot we love about this fridge

Pros: There is a lot we love about this fridge. It has worked beautifully in the several months we have had it. We love that is has both an air filter and a water filter which are easy to replace. It is nice not having a light bulb taking up space - and the LED lights are well placed and make it easy to see everything inside the fridge. The craft ice took a few days to start working - but the operating instructions told is it would take that long for the ice maker to get super cold enough. The craft ice was totally worth waiting for. Not only is it beautiful, but it really does melt more slowly. Cons: No matter how we configure the shelves, about 1/2 of our wine bottles will not fit standing upright anywhere in the fridge without sacrificing a whole shelf space. We may yet find a way to configure it to allow all of our wine bottles to stand up - but we haven't found a way to make that happen yet, and it is frustrating. Also, there is a "door open" alarm which we have not figured out how to adjust. I like the fact that there is an alarm - because in our last french door refrigerator - we sometimes left the doors open without noticing it. But we feel that the door open alarm begins sounding much too soon, and we would like to be able to adjust it to wait longer before it begins sounding.

Bought to replace a a 15 year old fridge. Very happy with the purchase. Pros: - Elegant looking interior with stainless rear panel and accents - Spacious and every space is maximized - PrintProof works Cons: - No drip tray for the dispenser. Looks better without one but requires constant wiping. - Edge of the door has a tiny dent. Probably from manufacturing and I'm pretty sure not from delivery. Not a Con for the product but mostly for LG. - 5 year Extended Warranty is expensive

I love my new LG refrigerator! The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5, is because the shelves are plastic and not glass. For the price, they shelves should be glass. The special ice feature is a very showy element! The ice maker produces round ice as large as snowballs and they are a big hit at parties. More than any other refrigerator I have owned, this model utilizes every inch of interior and as a result, feels much larger than 23.5 cubic feet.

Looks good, quiet. Good space but should have gone with regular depth. Door with ice maker is a lot heavier than the other door, so it will close with slam if not careful. Like the craft ice, but not really necessary. Wifi is peace of mind when we're away for extended period of time to make sure fridge doesn't shut down and have food spoil.

Good smaller refrigerator. The drawers on the door where the ice maker is are a little useless. Overall nice. The ice balls aren’t perfectly round. Still wonderful to use. The water is cold coming out of the fridge (not all fridges give you cold water) so that was a nice plus. I bought on sale. I wouldn’t buy this at full price.

    Good Option for Counter-Depth

The refrigerator is nice and the shallow depth makes it fit well in the kitchen because it does not stick way out into the room. The shelves in the doors could have been designed better, especially on the right side. The bins are deep and stick out far enough for a one-gallon milk jug. But having such a big bin on top is hard to use because only short items can be put in. If one is short, it is hard to reach over the top. The interior shelves are pretty roomy and easy to readjust. Tall items will fit by sliding one shelf back to open the front half. Leaves room for tall pitchers, etc. The freezer is useable, but is not very big so organization is needed to make everything fit. The craft ice is a bonus feature (it takes a couple of days to get going) but our ice spheres come out looking like the death star from Star Wars, with a crater on one side instead of a completely round ball. The taller dispenser for water and ice allows for filling of taller items such as pitchers. The water is not really very cold, though. Ice maker is out of the way and makes plenty of ice (again, takes a while to get started). Overall, good but not great. I still can't see the need for WiFi on a fridge. Not needed.

Had for about 3 weeks. Love the layout with the ice maker in the door although you need to be careful when shutting the left door because of the weight of the ice. Well designed and quiet except for the occasional ice dropping (love the craft ice!) and normal water fill noises.
