    Craft ice stopped working and leaked water after 3 months. Waited 2 weeks for service and leaking again 3 weeks later. Silly ice balls not worth it.

    Had two refrigerators delivered and both times they don’t work, still have no fridge.

    Sleek Looking...But loud high pitched whistle

    Just got this 2 weeks ago. Works well. The stainless steel inside the fridge really makes a HUGE difference, giving it a high end look over traditional white plastic. I think if they coupled the stainless steel with light grey plastic inside, it would be a game changer in terms of modern looks (like the newer KitchenAide fridge with wood accents inside). The Craft Ice cubes are a bit smaller than I was expecting. The biggets complaint is the annoying high pitched whistle sound that can be heard 40-50ft away when the compressor is on...it/'s heard for about 5 mins every hour or so. Super annoying.

    Excellent product. The InstaView Door is convenient to use. The three types of ice available is an additional benefit. We also like the ease by which the freezer is accessed when the handle is lifted.

    Great refrigerator! I love the wide open space for the fridge portion and the separation drawers for the freezer. The craft ice balls are also perfect!!

    Unexpectedly entered demo mode

    We had this refrigerator delivered yesterday. After about 6 hours the refrigerator unexpectedly stopped cooling, we could no longer dispense water, and the control panel locked. As it was after 6pm CST, the only way I could communicate with LG customer service was by chat. The representative was able to inform me that the refrigerator may be in demo mode and she forwarded a link about it which I reviewed. No explanation was given regarding how our fridge went from normal operation to demo mode. Nevertheless, I went through the specific steps of toggling through demo mode until it was clear that the refrigerator was not in demo mode. Fortunately, that resolved the problem and now the refrigerator appears to be functioning correctly. When I spoke with a representative from LG this morning, he suggested that sometimes new refrigerators have these types of issues. Hopefully it was just a glitch of some kind but this issue is not mentioned in the owner’s manual so I wanted to comment in case others experience the same problem.

    Not Worth the Money

    This LG refrigerator has been a consistent disappointment. The ice maker constantly malfunctions, the PLASTIC dispenser casing is cracked, the water dispenser lever is loose and close to falling off, and the left door flap has to be repeatedly adjusted to fill the gap between doors. As in, if the flap doesn't close completely, the icemaker will not work. The amount of money we wasted on this poorly designed refrigerator is nauseating. It looks great, but its functionality is terrible.

    Worst fridge ever - don’t buy!

    We’ve had this fridge for almost 2 years. The craft ice maker has needed to be completely replaced 2 times already. Along with the compressor. They should stop selling this model until they figure out the glitches with the craft ice. The repair guy even said it himself. When we called the first time it broke LG wanted to charge us, we had only had the fridge not even a year. Finally after going back and forth with them, reluctantly they sent someone out. The glass top of the large drawer has completely come off the tracks and won’t go back on. The metal strip piece on it has come off as well. Best Buy was the worst for customer service. LG has not been helpful at all. With a price point as this fridge is we would expect things to last longer, at least 5 years. We would never buy another LG appliance nor would we buy anything else from Best Buy again.

    Not impressed with this unit. The craft cocktail ice maker died in less than a year. The water dispenser leaks sometimes and makes a mess. Some things freeze in the refrigerator even though the temp is set correctly. I won't purchase another LG appliance again.

    LG does not support their products

    I wish I could post a positive review for this refrigerator. Unfortunately the party ice maker stopped working within 6 months. A service request was submitted immediately. Several months later we have not seen an appropriate service person yet. They did send a repair person for old refrigerators but he said he was the wrong repair person for that refrigerator. Several calls to LG yielded people promising to dispatch a repair person. Nothing to date.

    Love the refrigerator, did not like the fact I was not told it was a scratch & dent, it took two delivery attempts to place it in my kitchen, delivery personnel was not given proper materials, I did not receive credit that was promised. Not very happy with Best Buy.

    Purchased this in June 2021. It is now September 2021. At first the craft ice maker seemed to be working fine, although it was hard to tell given how long it needed to make ice (roughly 3 per day). After we had about 12 ice balls, we noticed that there was a pool of frozen water in the container, thus freezing all of the ice balls together in one block. Emptied the container and from that moment forward, the ice maker just leaks water into the container (and often outside the container) which promptly freezes. I was able identify the problem. The craft ice maker was no longer opening to drop the ice balls, and was just continuing to try to fill up the trays with water, resulting in water going everywhere. I was able to unfreeze the unit using a hair dryer and remove the ice, and ran it through several test cycles, but each time the unit was supposed to drop the ice, it would remain frozen and just leak water. In addition to this, my wife noticed that the regular ice maker was melting and freezing into a clump at the bottom and would regularly need broken up so that the ice dispenser would work. Contacted LG who eventually secured a third party service provider in our area who first canceled our appointment due to the repairman being sick, then finally came out weeks later. Without looking much at the fridge, they determined that we needed new parts. Found out a few weeks later when they never showed up for our follow up appointment (and never contacted us) that the parts are no longer available. I'm now locked in a vicious cycle with LG and the 3rd party service provider (A&E Factory Services) where each of them is telling me that I will be contacted by the other. LG's support on Facebook has also not been very helpful, continually telling me to contact A&E (I have several times) and that they'll let me know when the parts will be available (they never will be). Also, assuming I had received new parts, who is to say I wouldn't have the exact same issue with those parts? So, I don't recommend this product, although it looks like it's on backorder so I don't even know if anyone can purchase it anymore. Currently A&E is telling me that LG will call me within 48 hours with next steps, either a replacement or cash out, but I have a feeling I will be waiting for a call that will never come, and that when I reach out to them again I'll be told to contact A&E again.
