We just had it for three weeks, so it is too early to judge durability. But it is a very good refrigerator, almost the same size of our mold side by side but it seems a lot lager because of the efficient design. Both ice makers work beautifully. The ball ice is great for cooling water or drinks because it lasts a lot longer.like the knock on door! Cuts the frequency of opening the main door

LOVE IT, I was never so pleased with a refrigerator. I didnt think I would need a door in door feature but its so convenient. The ice maker keeps up nicely for 3 adults using it all the time. Who knew craft ball ice was a thing until now. very fun. temps are accurate and stable throughout. This LG is worth it.

We replaced our old Samsung of 12 years which was leaking from the bottom of the door. We could not have been any happier. We did not want another Samsung since we had to live with a towel underneath of it to soak up the leak. So far this LG is good. The knock side view door is really convenience. The craft ice is a nice added feature.

Purchased the fridge in 2019-Sorry-should’ve have wrote a review earlier as issues started and worsened over the past 3 years. 1. The upper icemaker doesn’t stay cold enough so the ice melts and freezes again into a glob. Also, the dispensing mechanism does not function-it somehow got stuck, broke, probably because the ice melts and refreezes. 2. The lower “craft ice” maker is a gimmick; the ice rarely is clear. The worst part is the ice also melts in the tray and tuns into a glob of ice balls frozen into a glacial sheet-it should be called “crap ice” maker. This is despite cranking down the temperature to the coldest level. It never really produced “craft ice” optimally, even during the first year. 3. The water dispenser sensor went on the blink-so we have to manually turn it on and off by pressing the lock and unlock button. Also, thought it was fixed once and it starts dispensing water on its own causing a mini flood. Additionally, it cannot dispense ice in any form, as it is stuck in the locked water dispensing function. 4. The door latch to the window door gets stuck ALL the time and we have to manually unclick the inner latch to latch the window door. We have an LG microwave that has an irritating repeating alarm jingle you can’t turn off when the timer ends. IT IS IRRITATING. We have a top-end LG dishwasher that is not well-thought out in terms of the layout of the dish racks-but this is subjective,I know. The racks however are are flimsily constructed, and do not feel solid. We have an LG front loader washer that is ill-designed as the rubber gasket for the door fills with water every time you wash and turns into a slimy pit of water. We probably have all these LG products because of “unbeatable” sale prices. Anyway, just our experience with LG products. We ended up buying a Samsung OLED TV-so far, so good.

We’ll designed unit, but the “ door in door”is a gimmick. Either way you have to open a door. Not a problem but had to set freezer to 6 below zero (normal is zero) to have solid ice cream. To get to cold cut drawer you have to open both doors. Otherwise we really like the refrigerator. Hope it holds up because it wasn’t inexpensive.

I loved the way LG packages their items. The whole refrigerator was sealed to be sure of no damages. This fridge is amazing. I love that I can knock on the door and the light goes on to see what you have before opening it. The deli drawer and the craft ice are so cool!!

I like everything about it except for the ice makers. The ice maker in the door times jams up and stops making ice sometimes. The problem is that ice cubes get "stuck" together and don't dispense properly and new ones are not made. This is probably due to the ice-maker being in the door and the ice is not kept cold enough to keep the moisture level down. As far as the craft/fancy ice maker in the freezer, it worked briefly (one month). When it did work, it was so loud and the ice balls stuck together that I turned it off after resetting it several times to try and get it working properly. I use the space now as extra storage; so, if you want this feature, don't bother with this refrigerator and save a lot of money!

I wanted to wait until at least a year to write my review of this Refridgerator. I must say I love the many features of this particular model. Gave the round large ball ice cubes. In addition the ability to get water or ice (cube & crushed) in the day or night . The back light is great so as to not need light at night .

We wanted to get a bespoke looking “luxury” fridge for the new house and landed on this LG. From the easy access door (way more convenient than you’d think) to the ice sphere maker in the freezer, to the adjustable water dispenser, this fridge has beat all of our expectations. Would recommend

Everyone who visited us, love this refrigerator, to be honest, I was blown away by this new refrigerator special some cool features such as knocking to awake the lighting door at night, and craft ice. you really get all your money's worth. On top Best Buy made the delivery process so simple.

From the automatic round craft ice to the thoughtful layout and knock-to-view exterior access door, this was our first choice for an upgraded fridge.

I haven’t had it installed yet do to storm bursting my pipes and I have no water . But the counter depth fit is perfect for my 80s house and when I’m done fixing it up . It will looks amazing thanks to LG . The price difference for the counter depth is a crazy but it’s your kitchen so think about that .

Perfect size for new empty nesters. The insta view and door in door are great for grabbing a quick water or cold snack. The French doors make the fridge portion seem larger and the ice box portion is very adequate. Then, there is the craft ice maker that is a huge hit with guests.

Our first week with this new refrigerator has been fantastic. It replaced an older Jenn-Air unit, which was nice but no frills. After owning a Samsung for a few years (now a garage fridge), this new LG compares very favorably. Large & flexible storage area inside. The three compartment bottom freezer is very convenient for separating items. The in-door ice and water dispenser system is a great design. And the fingerprint-proof stainless exterior is perfect for any family. Our only concern, so far, is that the craft ice maker only produces three spheres a day...meaning you have to save them up for several days if you plan to use them when entertaining guests for cocktails. However, we do really like the small cubed ice in the door dispenser. With the single concern mentioned above, I would highly recommend this LG unit for anyone looking for a comparable refrigerator.
