Decent but a little noisy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product does what a fridge is supposed to do, only louder than the GE fridge it replaced. I'm pretty sure the rattling is coming from the condiment trays in the door. I frequently need to open the door and readjust the items to help reduce the rattling from the trays. The price was right so I cannot complain too much but I would recommend a different model that has a separate door for the Glide 'N Serve drawer. It is totally worth the extra money to have a separate door to avoid having to open both fridge doors to access the Glide 'N Serve drawer.

Exactly Meets my Requirements
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a replacement for a 20 yr old Amana fridge as part of a kitchen update. Met all requirements for "small" overall width French door model without ice and water in door. Great interior space utilization, fridge and freezer. Fast ice maker churns out real cubes, even without using accelerated "plus" setting. Excellent LED interior lighting. Fridge doors self-close fully with only a small nudge. Simple ice maker connection. New model meets updated 2014 Energy Star specs. French doors required minor alignment adjustment, accomplished with included tool. Interior air circulation is rather noisy (noise ceases when fridge door is opened). This sound is described as "normal" in user guide, so there you go. Left fridge door must be opened with a firm tug to permit proper alignment of center filler flap, otherwise door won't close, but this may be typical of current French door models. Would definitely buy again and recommend.

Excellent except for a key feature
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent refrigerator, except the digital temperature display only allows you to set the temp; they don't display the actual temp like my GE did. This is a key feature and let you know when the refrigerator is not holding the desired temperature.

Very Good Refrigerator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this refrigerator to replace one we had for over 20 years. That one was a side by side. I like this one better as you can fit larger items in the freezer than you could with the last refrigerator. My last refrigerator did not have a water filter this one does and it's easy to change. This refrigerator is much larger than the last one. We have plenty of room for all of our things. It is easy to access everything. Some refrigerator's we looked at required the doors be open all the way to open the drawer at the bottom. This one does not which was a necessity for us as the refrigerator is against a wall on the one side so we can't open the doors all the way. I know several people complained about the ice maker on this refrigerator but we have had no problem with it. Basically we have had no problems with anything related to the refrigerator. The only problem was with Best Buy in relation to it. When they delivered it they apparently threw out some door shims you are supposed to use when you level the doors. I have tried to get replacements but so far have had no success. People sound like they will be helpful with it but nothing ever gets done. I will continue badgering them until I get what I need.

QUIET AND FUNCTIONAL
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with my beautiful fridge. Had it since July 2015; icemaker works great (unlike my last refrigerator). Low price for Geeksquad protection was a pleasant surprise (the linear compression lasts longer so it is less likely to break down). Just cleaned it for the first time--very easy.

so far so good.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.its been good so far, everything i expected it to be and more... my only complaint is its a bit difficult to keep clean, coming from an all black fridge, smudges are way more noticeable on stainless steel!

Excellent choice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very convenient with split shelves so you can adjust the interior layout as needed. Efficient ice maker with more freezer storage than I thought. Quiet operation. I'm very happy with our purchase.

Love our refrigerator!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband and I had a Frigidaire Gallery that worked adequately for 5-6 years to keep food cold in the main compartment and to freeze food in the freezer. But both the main compartment and the freezer were small inside, and we kept whacking our heads on the freezer door when we reached inside the main compartment. The design of the main compartment wasn't great either, although not unspeakably terrible. When we got the refrigerator, the limited floor space we had for it limited our choices severely. So we knew we wanted a new refrigerator. The LG refrigerator we bought -- a month ago now -- is externally about the same size as our old Frigidaire. The design, however, gives us far more useful space and much more versatility inside both the main compartment and the freezer drawer. The freezer drawer is below the main compartment, so we no longer whack our heads. The front doors look like steel, but they don't hold magnets. Fortunately, the sides do. So we can still use the refrigerator as a message board.

For small footprint
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a good find, but I wish it were deeper. I had a width restriction, but not a depth restriction. They could have made it deeper. Other than that, it is a great fridge.

Good Except the BUZZING
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to love this refrigerator because I got such a great deal as an open box, but I couldn't get over the buzzing and had to return it. The buzzing is coming from the compressor and not only does the sound fill the kitchen, but also the open living area and can easily be heard in the adjoining bedroom. It's such a shame because it is otherwise relatively quiet with the fans, etc. I don't think it was defective because I had just returned another top of the line LG that did the same thing (I thought perhaps the first one was defective). LG says it's not normal, but it seems like it is and I've read blogs about it. Perhaps I couldn't describe the sound correctly to LG. I ran it for more than 24 hours and the buzzing did subside after running for a few minutes after it had been jostled during installation, but not nearly enough. I purchased this because my 17 year old refrigerator was starting to vibrate causing an annoying tone. But that was nothing compared to this buzzing. Even my wife, who normally doesn't pay attention to any of this stuff and couldn't hear the vibration in the old fridge, was annoyed by this LG. Our old fridge is a welcomed relief by comparison. Pros: - Besides buzzing, it's pretty quiet with the rest of the moving parts. I could still hear it in the bedroom at night beyond the buzzing, but it was very mild compared to most refrigerators. I even stuffed pillows and acoustic foam dampening material all around it. It helped, but we could still hear the buzzing. - Decent price for a french door model. - Capacity was decent. - Ice-Maker worked well. It wasn't fast, but worked fine and produces nice cubes instead of the moon shaped ice. It's also well hidden and doesn't take up any freezer space. Cons: - Buzzing obviously - Freezer door squeaked quite a bit when opening and closing. The arms were freezing. - Freezer was a bit of a pain to get to items down near the floor. - I'm used to the fridge door closing with a gentle nudge. Have to close the left door firmly, then the right door firmly. Not a big deal, I suppose. - Slide out drawers seemed a bit flimsy. - Runs louder when Ice Maker Plus is turned on or when it is not fully cooled. But no big deal there since it's temporary. Doesn't anyone make a refrigerator that doesn't distract from a tranquil environment anymore?

Loud Popping Noise and Abnormal Degassing Noise
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I took awhile before deciding to write this review. I did a tremendous amount of research for refrigerators and finally pick his make/model due to the price tag and reviews. However, soon after we got it made all sorts of noises in the freezer portion. It made hissing, popping noise, and other noises. The loud popping noise sounded like a gun shot went off in the house and wakes my wife up all the time. At the time of this writing, I sent in 3-4 service requests where all three they tried random solutions. They even talked with LG engineers which their solution didn't work. I tried calling LG and gets directed to outside of the country so the language barrier is rough. I am trying to get a replacement but requires a lot of effort and verification by the technician. Technician even told me he doesn't know what the issue and really just coming by to say hi now everytime I submit a request. It has been frustrating and spent about 3-4 vacation days staying home to open the door to the technician. No luck in fixing it anytime. LG you have failed as a customer service support and your product. I should've went with a higher brand.

Horrible Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The refrigerator was delivered exactly as scheduled and is working as expected. I am very happy with the refrigerator. The negative experience began when the price of the refrigerator dropped by almost $200.00 the day it was delivered. I contacted the online customer service via email to question a price adjustment. I heard back from them but since I had used a 10% movers discount (and this resulted in approximately the same price as the current retail price) they communicated that I had already paid less than the current price. They obviously had not investigated to identify that I had applied a discount to the original price. We exchanged several additional emails as I tried to clarify the price and discount I had used. In the end they stated that a coupon is not eligible to be used when they make a price match adjustment (to their own current price). Bottom line is that if I had waited 2 days to purchase my refrigerator I would have been able to apply my movers discount code and save the $200.00. I am very disappointed in this price match policy and will make future purchases with a different retail organization.

Watch the freezer drawer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really nice fridge, was able to pick up a floor display from a store that was remodeling for $999 with 2 small dents. The fridge storage is very nice and can accommodate plenty. The freezer on the other hand has given me problems since day 1. No matter how gentle or firm you are when closing or opening the drawer, 3 out of 5 times it will either jam or come off the rails. It's not difficult to fix, just a pain. And really becomes a problem if you are in a rush and don't make sure it closes all the way, you'll come home to a thawed out freezer.

Great Purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned for 4 months. Tons of space, very quiet. We're very happy with this product. This is an excellent french door fridge for those who do not have a ton of width for one of the larger models.

Quiet, Roomy, No Issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had the fridge for about 2 months now, and it's a really great fridge for the price. The compressor is almost totally silent, just barely audible when you're in the same room, the interior is nice and bright, and both the fridge AND freezer are quite roomy. If you can get it on a good sale, and are looking for a 33" wide french door fridge, you can't really go wrong with this LG! Note, we haven't tested the freezer-ice maker, as we have no water hookup, so I can't comment on how well that part works.

it's completely hopeless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Thanks to LG, I am now on a first name basis with the repairman. I'd made at least five service calls in the first year of ownership. LG finally replaced the one I bought, with this one. Which is of much cheaper build quality and the materials are cheap plastic as opposed to the metal of my original purchase. The shelves aren't as thick, the drawers are smaller and the deli drawer doesn't fully open along the front, like the original did. Meaning I have to tip things to wedge them in the drawer now, where before, the front opened up and boxes could slide in remaing level. The freezer routinely freezes shut, the light switch freezes in the off position and you have to warm it up to get it to pop out and the main drawer won't slide all the way out. Forget sliding out the smaller shelf, it just doesn't move anymore. The tracks have iced over. The ice maker doesn't stop making ice when the bin is full and the bar won't lift anymore. Also, an ice sheet constantly forms on the back wall, no matter how often I chip it off. My repairman, Javier, tells me it's pretty common because of the high humidity where I live. It has finally died, unfortunately, it's still making the high pitched whine all the time. I will NOT be replacing it with another LG. Would I recommend this to a friend? No, I wouldn't even recommend it to someone I hated.

the one we disliked the least......
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.our LG refrigerator went out in less than 6 months. it took almost 2 months go get another refrigerator. first they had Max's come over and do a service call....that took at lest 2-3 weeks. then - of course - it wasn't fixed - so they had Max's come out again - more time passed before they had time to come out. then it was turned in for warranty replacement - that took time also.......2 months without a refrigerator is a long time. they have to contract out service calls. Max's advertises EXCELLENT service - not in our case. having to wait 2 weeks for the 1st service & it was not fixed. FINALLY, we could get a new one, but only at a Best Buy-and it had to be a LG, the same brand that didn't even last 6 months. they had 3 LG's to choose from & none of them were really what we wanted - so we took the one we disliked the least. that had to be ordered-more time without a refrigerator. the pull out snack drawer cracked & broke within a month. no way were we going to get involved with LG/warranty again - so just living with it

Do not buy an LG refrigerator!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MY fridge is 17 months old and stopped cooling. 2 months later LG is still lying to me. Has been repaired twice. LG insists on replacing the same parts again and added the condenser. The condenser is back ordered and won't be in for 2 more weeks. LG will not replace the fridge until they have repaired it 4 times in 90 days. Meanwhile I do not have a fridge! They guarantee the parts but they don't work or continue to be on back order. Customer service is awful!!
