Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the spaciousness, size, and bright lighting of this 23.8 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator with Ice Maker. Many appreciate the efficient ice maker and quiet operation, along with the generally good temperature control and reasonable price. However, some customers note that the finish is prone to smudges and fingerprints, and that the shelves may not be very durable. A few also mention that the refrigerator door lacks a magnetic seal.

Most cubic feet for a top-freezer unit
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took awhile to get used to having no door handles and just grooves instead which are easier to get dirty. The factory settings for temperature are spot-on. The sound of the unit running is not horrible and does not have a high-pitch fan sound like another brand we tried. But it does make substantial sound. I guess all the modern ones do now since they run more often due to efficiency standards. I actually like the lighting and think it's pretty. It is not too dark to find things as some people have said as long as you have a kitchen light on. The exterior back of the unit is very well made and sturdy. It is solid top to bottom. The butter container is way too small but the shelf-drawer is great and easily stores numerous small packages. The control panel hangs down from the freezer compartment into the middle of the fridge and takes up valuable space of the top shelf unfortunately. That is what I dislike the most. And also the placement of the vents which are hard to keep from being blocked which you must adhere to to make it run properly. We removed the ice maker which we don't need to make more usable space. Overall I like this refrigerator and studied many reviews and specs before settling on this brand and model.

Modern look to traditional refrigerator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first LG product. I had an emergency replacement need and limited cabinet and door space. This was instock and on the showroom floor. I loved the modern look for a traditional freezer top style. The LED lights are awesome and are in the freezer section too. The ice maker is easy to set up and use. The amount of room is amazing! At first I was disappointed I could not move the door shelves but once I got everything in there was not a need to move them around. Everything fit great and better than my last model (and it had moveable, split shelves). This has been my favorite refrigerator thus far. Simple, clean, modern, and extremely roomy.

Bulk Shopper approved
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st I was really nervous ordering without actually being able to see this in person, but so glad I did. My son has food allergies, so we mostly eat fresh food & veggies from Costco. This fridge can handle that plus around the holidays an 18+ pound turkey or similarly sized ham. I love how the side door can handle two 1gal jugs of juice. While the bottom veggie drawers can handle 5# bag of carrots plus 3# bag of fresh broccoli. Meanwhile the other drawer has two 5# containers of apples plus half a 5# container of pears/plums/oranges. The cheese drawer fits lunch meat, cheese, extra butter, sour cream, & almond tortillas. I will still have room for additional space for my whole foods & meijer purchases. As for the freezer we also have a stand up deep freezer so we only keep our specialty gluten free breads, premade GF items, & frozen fruit. But it does hold that with room to spare & I sometimes (around deer season) can also squeeze in our frozen veggies too. Currently our freezer has 6 full bags of fruit from costco, 3 loaves of GF bread, GF donuts, 2 packages GF waffles, GF burger Buns, GF hot dog buns, & a few other misc. items and it's not full or jam packed. The only complaint I have is that the open handle area corners can get a little tricky to clean, if the kids get something sticky on it.

great purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had no issues with this fridge. Got the all black and very happy. I have had two spills in it. Very easy to clean and remove shelves and drawers. I haven't hooked my ice maker up yet but will be doing that soon. I feel for the price you cant go wrong with this unit, plenty of space and a great looking appliance.

Love It!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this refrigerator a few years ago and just love it. I love the full width deli drawer, the LED lights in the fridge and the freezer sections, the humidity adjustments in the vegetable and fruit drawers, and the sturdy door shelf trays. I find it comfortable enough to reach the back of the fridge shelves, although my arms and stature are shorter than an average-sized person. Although, I wish that the front doors were magnetic (the sides are), and they do show finger marks and smudges, a quick horizontal wipe with window cleaner and microfiber cloth cleans it quickly. I definitely would recommend this refrigerator.

Problems with auto defrost and temperature control
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked okay for a while but now problems with the auto defrost and temperature controls. Freezer iced up and that clogged the vent into refrigerator. This caused fridge to go to 50 degrees. Threw out a bunch of food. Was told to defrost overnight/up to 24 hours. Worked okay for a couple of months and then same thing happened again. Defrosted and problem recurred a month later and has been ongoing for past three months . Started six or seven months after warranty expired. Replaced one module/part and fridge worked okay for a month and then same thing began again. Rapid diagnosis indicates main board failure. Have the repair guy on speed dial. jCalling LG not easy to get someone who seems to know anything on the line and long hold times. Most likely not worth the cost of the board and repair as warranty is expired. Parts on back-order, last one took about six weeks to get. Plastic around one of the glass shelves developed a large crack no cause or reason. Will likely replace but Magic 8 Ball said, 'No' when we asked if if we should buy another LG. We have a dog who needs insulin two times a day. Keep that in the parents' 30 + year old Kenmore we have in our garage. That fridge looks old but still works fine. The LG looks good but problems with how it works, lack of support and tired of not being able to get a straight answer about what is wrong with it. Pros- Interior size is good, lighting is adequate. Ice maker works well and the fridge is quiet except when making ice. Cons- Temperature inside can vary between 30 and 40 degrees in fridge (got a thermometer when these problems started), Fridge ices up/doesn't defrost properly and find out unexpectedly that the temp goes to 50+ degrees. It then has to be turned off, food gets moved or thrown away, gets defrosted and the cycle starts over. Repair people are puzzled. Buying a new fridge, it will not be LG, this one has been a disappointment.

Lots of space, great functional layout.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical at first but quickly realized what a great fridge this is. I was used to owning a side by side for years. Since I use the fridge more than I use the freezer this is more functional than a side by side. It has lots of space, clear see-thru drawers so you can see what you have instead of having to open every drawer. If you're in need of a large refrigerator and don't have a need to store a lot of food in the freezer then this would be perfect for you.

So Fresh and So Clean
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the the clear drawers to see everything. I went from an extremely old non working fridge to this and its absolutely amazing. It keeps the food cold and frozen. The controls are easy to figure out. the freezer get super cold and if you don't change the temps it starts blowing cold air out from being too cold.

Bring your own flashlight
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this LG because of the great lighting. Unfortunately when we put food in it we found you couldn't see anything on the bottom shelf. Anything at the back of the shelves is pretty difficult to find the lighting is so poor. The front of the shelves is very well lit. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone who has vision difficulties. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone because LG was so rude when I asked about this problem. Their advertising does not show this is a problem. Not having handles makes it ideal for a smaller space. It seems to work just fine. Just can't find anything in it unless you bring your own flashlight. LG says that is the way it is. There are other brands out there that will fit smaller spaces that don't need a flashlight as an accessory.

"Grear Frige"
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My family loves it! Looks good, has plenty of space and works very well in cooing and freezing. I shopped at numerous places...the big box hardware & the like...for a good refrigerator at a reasonable price. I found others, but not at the right price or availability.

Happy with the product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I am happy with this refrigerator , I thought that it was finger print free but it’s not, but it’s not advertised as such,my fault. . Also I think the lighting could be improved, especially on the top shelf area. I am hopeful that it will last longer than the 2 others I have had which were not LG brand.

great fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of space... can hold lot's of 1-gal milk! Love the bright LED lights inside. Sleek and minimal depth (front to back) so it doesn't stick out too much for narrow kitchens. We wanted a no-frills but sleek and beautiful looking fridge. This was one of them!

After a year, pretty disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the look of this refrigerator and the interior lights are great. Better than average interior space, too. However, here are my problems: 1) when I shut the refrigerator door, the freezer door pops open. It usually shuts again but not always. 2) the alarm is unrelenting when i’m taking things in or out of the refrigerator but if it’s inadvertently left open a little bit, the alarm does not work. That’s the only reason I wanted an alarm and it doesn’t work. 3) I put a few magnets on the door. When I took them off to wash the door, the paint was rubbed or chipped underneath. Very fragile paint job! I had a Kenmore for 20 years and it worked perfectly for 19 of those years. I don’t think i’ll be keeping this fridge very long at all and I would not buy another LG product.

3 years for a refrig???
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paid over $1000 for a basic refrig, 3 years ago. Model lg LTCS24223. I never hooked up a water line, as I don't need the icemaker. Starting a couple of weeks ago, water started dripping from the "Temperature Adjust" control panel, in the top of the refrigerator section. If I take a covered bowl out, from the top shelf, water will spill all over the floor, because the lid will be full of water. I see nothing in the manual or online, addressing this specific problem. What now?? Pay out $$$ for a repairman, or buy a new refrig?? I am retired, and on a budget, so neither option is good for me.
