Product never showed up, went with another company.

I've had this refrigerator for about four months now. It replaced a 15 year old top mount GE. It keeps our food fresher much longer, which is the best benefit we've enjoyed since upgrading. Knowing that it uses significantly less energy is nice. The water comes out nice and cold, we've never run out of ice because this is the unit with the second ice maker in the freezer. Some day I would like a stand-alone ice maker, but this does the trick for the time being. The door alarm is nice for little kids that stare at food instead of taking it out of the fridge or if the unit doesn't close entirely. The shelves feel well-built and long lasting. I purchased a french door style fridge thinking it was the "fashionable" design. While it is an improvement over the top mount style, I think a quality side-by-side could be a better option for someone that uses freezer space as much as I do. Anything in boxes--pizza, frozen waffles, breakfast sausage, microwavable meals--there is no ideal location for these products. Pair this with an upright freezer. Due to the LG slim ice maker, the storage on the left door that I would like to use for condiments is too small. My top left shelf is entirely filled by condiments. This refrigerator also has an older style water filter. The new ones are located in less intrusive places like by the drawers. Some of the pantry drawers allow you to select a different temperature and this one doesn't. I don't know if that's a feature that I would use, or just one that I want because I don't have it. If this is your first refrigerator that requires a waterline, I would recommend you have Best Buy send a plumber or you can do this yourself with their copper waterline install kit. I found that the Best Buy kit does not contain a self-piercing saddle valve though, which means you have to drill. Use Best Buy's copper line and your local hardware stores self-piercing saddle valve (if permitted by your local plumbing code).

I love the style of french doors and specially LG - 24.1 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator - Black stainless steel looks "Elegant" Easy to clean the outside but the coating scratches easy as well. Love the feature of alarm on the doors, ice and water dispenser is great for tall and big pitcher or bottle, nice bright lights inside, great new style of the ice maker on the door but you will lose storage space for condiments, the big drawer in fridge is a helpful, dual ice maker is great but you will lose storage on freezer because it's limited

The ice maker on the left door stopped functioning within a few months. Had to get it repaired. Every so often it will stop working and we would have to hit the reset button. The bottom freezer portion started having issues with opening. The parts started breaking the following year, wheels fell off and could not be replaced because the assembly broke. Fancy but cheaply made products. We've alreadyreplaced the microwave because it started falling apart on us. I purchased a bundle. We are contemplating just replacing everything again and going with a different brand all together.

A bit pricey when we purchased, but great space, looks great, VERY quiet, I believe must be real stainless steel as magnets do not stick. Time will tell on durability.

Bottom line: Both ice makers stopped producing ice twice (4 total calls to service center) in a 15 month period. This new fridge came with the home I purchased in Nov 2014. The bottom ice maker stopped working after 11 months in Oct 2015. Technician showed me the reset button (not in the manual) and it worked again. He also explained the freezer door has a tendency to get slightly derailed causing moisture to freeze up the maker. He also showed me how to fix the track issue. The top ice maker stopped working 2 weeks later (still in Oct). The phone service center talked me through finding the reset button (not in user manual). It worked. The bottom ice maker stopped working again the next month (Nov 15). With holidays I didn't call it in until the top ice maker stopped working in Jan 16. Because I didn't have a receipt, the warranty people were nice to honor the home purchase price for the first technician's visit. But, it cost me $225 (parts and labor) to have both ice makers replaced despite the issues arising during the warranty period. Long story short, I think the ice makers should be more reliable and last longer than a year.

After using this unit for less than 3 months, both the refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. LG Customer service has been OUTRIGHT TERRIBLE. They are not responsive or proactive to helping, sending tech after tech with a week in between each visit. Both the compressor and evaporator have been replaced and LG still will not agree to replace this unit that is WAY less than a year old. I have been speaking with LG 1-800 on a near-daily basis for 4 weeks and I still have no resolution, even had a supervisor tell me I was exaggerating the timeline and hung up on me. I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase any LG product ever again. I do not recommend this refrigerator or any LG product to anyone. And for the record, Life IS NOT Good when you don't have a working refrigerator in July, and this company doesn't take responsibility for their malfunctioning and unreliable products. So disappointed.

Nice looking refrigerator. Was difficult to get the temp to stay steady. Plenty of ice due to the dual ice makers... seems they are not producing units with the duals anymore. Mistake! Problems began 5 months in when the compressor failed the first time. Lost most of our food. Then it failed a month later... lost food again. Then two days later... more lost food. Why didn't I learn not to trust it?!?!? Finally, on the fourth failure in my almost 7 months of owning it, I said enough is enough and I want a new one. That was July 3rd. Here it is August 5th and I still have no refrigerator... don't try this at home kids! :-) We bought ALL of our appliances from Best Buy and all LG so we are replacing the defective unit with another LG. Fingers crossed because we really want them all to match. If this one fails, no more LG ever. Best Buy has been VERY helpful.... LG has been a pain and claims to not be able to do anything and to work with Best Buy. Ordered another model from Best Buy that is supposed to be delivered on 8/9... fingers crossed!

I bought this fridge 2 yrs ago. Within a week the sliding door in the freezer broke. As of about a month ago the seal on the refrigerator has broken. There is so much condensation inside the fridge it's worthless. I wouldn't recommend this unit to anyone. I actually wouldn't recommend this brand. I feel as if I have wasted my money. I have lived in 13 homes with 13 different refrigerators and this one is BY FAR the worst. A fridge from 1982 works better. Don't waste your money!

When I bought this refrigerator I thought it will be a good choice, but I am really disappointed !! The black steel peel while I was taking out the plastic that came on it !!

We looked at the larger model, liked the features, missed out on the sale price & waited untill this model was on sale.

I was always against getting ice makers because I heard that they break a lot. But the salesman told me that LG icemakers worked, and I thought that LG made good stuff.. Silly me. The Ice maker died after two weeks, Guy on phone told me freezer had to be set to 0 degrees. Not the problem. I have an appointment in 3 weeks to get it fixed. I wonder if they will show up?
