Great refrigerator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great refrigerator, one of the few I could find that fit a 33" wide space. Looks sharp, plenty of room, easy to access everything, overall quiet. One star off for: Use of water/ice dispenser is not intuitive, water dispenses very slowly, occasionally a little bit of noise/vibration when running.

Cheap and it shows
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cheap price but it shows. Makes a terrible rattle after only 2 months of use. Best Buy wasn’t much help either for an elite member. Just told me to call LG.

Easy Reach & View. Good Storage utilization.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think of all the features I really like to glide and serve deli/meat drawer in the middle. It keeps all of our deli meat and cheese items easily within view. In fact, everything is easy to see at a glance. This refrigerator is easy to organize. We keep left overs in the right upper shelf so they are easy to see and use. This refrigerator has solved an issue we had with food mismanagement in our old refrigerator. It is tall and ours happens to be the smaller version since we didnt have the opening for the larger refrigerator but it is still very roomy. It is nice to see at a glance the temperatures in the fridge and freezer on the front of the appliance. The lighting is very attractive as well as functional. The appearance of the product is very attractive. Although you should know that the sides of the appliance are not smooth stainless steel like the front. The sides appear to be a textured silver plastic that looks like stainless steel. I cannot affix magnets to it. The ice-maker does not make very much ice at a time. That happens not to be a problem for us since we don't have kids. But if you had kids wanting ice in their drinks all the time, you would probably run out. The water dispenser is not all that easy to use. In fact the first time you may squirt water all over the floor. While the water dispenser location is good for filling pitchers it is not so great to fill glasses. The instructions warn that it can break a glass. It is best to depress the dispenser with your hand and not push the glass up against it since the glass may break. The freezer drawer is organized very well. I do think because of the freezer drawer of this appliance should probably have a child lock to keep a small child from falling in. The only thing I dislike about this refrigerator is the french doors do not line up well with the fruit and vegetable drawers. In other words, it would be nice not to have to open both french doors just to open one of drawers. We intentionally got the gallon shelves and butter keeper. Use care when picking a refrigerator to make sure they offer room for a 2 liter in the side door shelf. This one has room for that but some fridges do not. The water filter is easy to replace and is out of the way up near the top of the appliance. The shelves are adjustable in many ways. I can see everything at a glance and organize the space the way I like to use it. It is easy to keep clean inside and out.

better than anticipated
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I shopped extensively, both online and in stores, and had my choices narrowed down to this one, the Kenmore Elite that matches this one because LG makes it, and Samsung. I own 2 other LG appliances but no Samsung (although I do love my Samsung phone!) so I narrowed it down to the 2 options and then this one went on sale so I immediately bought it. Delivery was efficient. One of the delivery men was a bit abrasive in his manner but the other was truly pleasant so all-in-all not a bad experience at all. The Fridge fits in the same footprint as the 17-yr-old Kenmore Elite side-by-side it replaced. I grew up with freezers on the bottom so the arrangement of the unit was like coming home. The big surprise for me, however, was how much more space and how much more accessible everything is in this one compared to the side-by-side it replaced. I actually have more storage capacity in this freezer than I did in the old one and that was honestly a surprise to me. The versatility of the fridge shelving is quite nice. It does have separate humidity controls for each of the produce bins and my produce is keeping fresh for much longer than in my old one. The deli pantry drawer is a wonderful addition and I'm so glad I have that now. It's perfect for the selection of cheeses, smoked sausages, etc. that I always keep. I've read a lot of conflicting opinions on the ice maker. I live alone but am a heavy ice-user and I have house guests and my grown kids over quite a bit; it has no trouble keeping up with demand. A family of 4 might need more if they are in the habit of using quite a bit of ice. Next time I host a get-together of more than 4 I'll just stockpile it in the freezer bin ahead of time. On a day to day basis, though, it''s perfect. I'm quite happy with this fridge and certainly recommend it. And I do love the little pyramid ice cubes!

Great now, Not sure on long-term though.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This French door refrigerator replaced an 11 year old Whirlpool side by side refrigerator that was also 33" wide. The LG french door was a huge upgrade in space. Love the storage options that this model has. I also really like the ice and water dispenser having separate dispensers. It's one of the only models like that, but it's nice not having to hit a button constantly to switch between ice and water from a single dispenser. I also really like the smaller ice cubes. I haven't had an issue of running out of ice yet though I'm typically the only person using ice, but I use a lot of it in a day.... The only part of this refrigerator that I don't like, and it makes me really nervous for the long term is that every-single-time you open ANY of the doors, the fans/compressor kick off on the refrigerator. For anyone who's familiar with compressors on anything from appliances, to central air, the most wear and tear on fans and compressors come from the turn-on. The more they turn on and off, the more wear and tear there will be. For the long term, I am really not sure that this fridge will last as long as the older Whirpool. I guess time will tell though... I just hope there's a good reason for the compressor turning off, other than just doing it for planned obsolescence.

Lg 24 cu foot fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked amazing upon delivery. Replaced another lg fridge that died on me but I will take the blame since I have two large dogs and neglected to clean the back grates of the fridge. I figured once every 6 months but with the dogs it should be at least every 30 days. Also not many available options under 36 inch width. This was a self install and the water and ice tasted like hose water for the first week. I swapped the stainless steel hose for a braided pex line and then used LG filter instead of the cheap off brand and after a flush of 3 gallons, water taste great. I think the knock off filters do not seat perfectly in the housing so the filter maybe bypassed. That is a guess but will have to pay the 60 per filter every 6 months or order in bulk and pay 80 for 2. Hopefully this helps. Also I did pay 1200 for this fridge as an open box so I did not buy at full price. Took about 6 hours to cool to temp and also make ice it takes about 2 hours or less. Worth it at 1200, at 2200 I may have still bought it but given it 3.5 stars.

Nice ice
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent at breaking. Compressor failed after 2 years out of warranty cost 300 a special program for a known problem. Shelves keep cracking not overloaded or handled roughly by 2 adult owners. Nice ice maker. Door open reminder dings too soon wakes my partner up. Need this feature because don’t want to pay for another compressor. Doubtfull I will buy again but reading internet reviews other brands are not any better. Sometimes you do not get what you payed for.

Top to bottom, Best Buy came through for me.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replacing a 22+ y/o, 20 cu ft side-by-side, in a 35" wide space, options are somewhat limited. There are few fridges that were in my price range, fit the space, and could be delivered asap. After extensively reading reviews, and visiting the local BB store twice to take measurements, I decided on this LG model. The transaction was quick, delivery a few days later was flawless with constant communication, and set up was easy. (Special kudos to the delivery guys who were efficient and experienced. They knew exactly how to maneuver the new fridge into the kitchen space without scratching floors, doors, cabinets, etc.) Now as for the functioning of the fridge, I just don't understand all the reviewers that comment about the compressor or ice maker noise. Unless they received flawed appliances, this LG model is nearly silent...in all respects. Pros: Esthetically, very modern and matches all the other stainless steel appliances. Shelves & drawers are functional and well designed. There appears to be way more space than we would have thought an additional 4-5 cu ft would have compared to the old unit. The split doors are very convenient and space savers, though very similar to the replaced side-by-side. The best feature is the wide shelves that can accommodate trays of food and large casserole dishes. This was a severe limitation of the old fridge. I have placed a thermometer in both the upper fridge and lower freezer. The temps are spot on to what the digital thermostat is set at. Very even, top to bottom. Cons: As others have mentioned, the door shelves are narrow and limiting. The ice maker takes up valuable fridge space and does not have a large capacity. (Paying an additional $600 for the 2nd ice maker seemed to be an absurd expense.) Even with the convertible shelf, there is too little space for bottles and tall jars. But, all in all, we are very satisfied with this purchase. Both, Best Buy and LG have made this a pleasant experience.

Spacious fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new fridge. Very spacious and great features but wished it was fingerprint proof..The stainless steel gets dirty quick and I am OCD when it comes to shine and keeping it looking like new...I couldn’t beat the price I paid and it was open box which was unused...almost want to exchange it for the black stainless Steel... but overall great fridge..any suggestions on what the best and easiest way of keeping it shiny?

Terrific refrigerator!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Deciding that my side-by-side refrigerator was not adequate when the family was over and brought their additional food, and the shelves were small in size, I began my search for a French door refrigerator. After 5 months of reading reviews, visiting appliance stores, reading more reviews, going through the process of elimination, and watching for a sale, hubby and I purchased this model LG refrigerator. I realize that not everybody has that much time to select a fridge, but for those comments about the fridge's space, ice maker, water dispenser, etc, I have to question if buyers looked closely at the features and space. I knew what I wanted and that this model had everything I wanted. After 2 months, this refrigerator is great! Yes, it is different from the side-by-side, but that's not a problem. I will not complain about what I chose. If down the road, the fridge has problems, then it will be time to complain. I feel we made a good purchase.

The Best.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want the best... you get a warranty. You can't drive a Benz without a great warranty. 5 years minimum. Was going to get the 36" wide but the condo had tile installed on the fridge side... took away 1/2" inch in from the width... so this is the next best size, 32.75" I can't tell the difference... and neither could the movers. And 2 ice makers. Really beautiful.

Sleek and smart
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although this fridge is smaller than competitors, you wouldn't know it by the amount of storage space. This is due to its clever design and movable shelves. The exterior display is sharp looking and easy to use. So far I'm loving this fridge.
