    Dishwasher is Very Good!

I am so glad to have a new dishwasher, but it does take some time to figure out how to load the upper rack. Doesn't seem like the glasses have a place where they fit the best. This isn't a deal breaker for me, just so used to my old one I guess. Overall, it's super quiet - you can hardly tell it's on. Their advertising about that is right on. Cleans very well and am happy with it.

Like the dishwasher overall but you do have to stoop very low to fill it. The racks are a laid out a lot different from my old dishwasher so I struggle a little with how to get dishes to fit, but the prongs are adjustable but this takes time and most of the time I don't bother and just move the dishes around until they finally stand up the way I want. Love the music it plays at the beginning and end of the cycles. It's fun to all of the sudden hear a tune being played from the kitchen. Cleans very well and dishes are always dry when I take them out.

After taking the advice of numerous so called experts some years back I bought a kitchen aide dishwasher . A major piece of trash requiring two pump changes, broken door hinges, faulty food disposal mechanism, frequent odors, poor drainage , mega noise and worst of all poorly cleaned dishes. best moment for the kitchen aide is watching it being removed from my home two months ago. Enter the lg stainless steel dishwasher. Two months in and all is spectacular. Clean dishes, no odors, no remaining water in the tub after the cycle is completed, quiet operation and low and behold squeakily clean dishes. This dishwasher is a great find and superior value for the price. As for best buy they had the best price, with free delivery and the whole transactions was pleasing and seamless. If your in the market for a new dishwasher save some dough and some headaches and balk on the kitchen aide and move into an lg.

I had this first generation LG dishwasher 7 years ago. Hopefully they have all the bugs worked out. The IE message showed up (2X) and the water wouldn't drain, but it was all covered under an extended 3 year warranty. I recently purchased a Bosch. I saw another review where their Bosch only lasted 7 years as well. I used my LG dishwasher every day and sometimes twice a day, and could fit all the pans and dishes into a single load. The Bosch is smaller so the dishes and pans do not fit in a single wash. The normal cycle is nearly 2 hours and the bottom of washer is plastic with an odd odor. The LG is quieter than the Bosch. You are suppose to rinse the dishes b/f you put them in a dishwasher. That is normal for any brand to extend the life of your dishwasher. Watch out when you pull the adhesive plastic off the Bosch door. It popped open and the top of the door cut / bruised my forehead after delivery.

It is a really good dishwasher and cleans very well. The cycle is fairly long and does not dry the dishes which is a bummer but overall I am very happy with the performance of the dishwasher. It is also very quiet and makes fun sounds when the cycle is over.

This dishwaser was a good value for the price we paid. It will hold a lot of silverware and dishes. The racks on the bottom can be configured in a variety of ways. I'm still working on finding out the best way to place my plates so that they don't fall over. There is no heating element so you can place plastics on lower rack, however some dishes don't get completely dry. I usually open the door a bit after the cycle to help them dry completely. I really like that the controls are on top of the door and hidden so that children can't easily push them.

I went to Best Buy looking to replace a dishwasher that was only 7 years old and was intent on buying a Bosch. Then I saw this LG. As a family of two, we use the rinse feature a lot, because we can sometimes go 3-5 days without running a load. Not only did the LG have this feature, but it also has what I'll call a customizable dish layout - nearly all the tines can be folded away in "odd sets", so you can go from many to some to none with ease. The problem is that some tines, when holding many dishes that are pressing them, will sometimes collapse on their own. This doesn't mean that the dishes fall over, it just means the tines are no longer locked in place, but they haven't fallen over, either. A few things I've noticed in the month we've owned this: 1. It's quiet. Not whisper, I'm not sure it's on quiet, but I can't believe this is as loud as it gets quiet. In addition to being well insulated, it also runs (according to the manual) either the upper or lower sprayers one at a time, never together, to maximize water pressure and minimize noise. 2. It has a green "I'm working" light. It's a small LED on the front that makes the room look a little like a UFO is landing. Not that it's crazy bright, just the way it projects a green blinking circle across the room. 3. The blue "I'm done" light doesn't mean that the dishes are clean, just that the chosen cycle is done. This is a disappointment, because when I run a rinse, the blue light makes it look like the dishes should be clean. 4. I have overloaded this sucker and everything came out acceptably clean. Yes, where a few dishes were touching there was a little grit, but that's a few spots out of many touching dishes, no pre-rinsing, and we're talking a dinner party with 6 adults with appetizers, an entree with sides, dessert, coffee, and wine, and I fit everything including the serving bowls and stemware. My old dishwasher was not up to that task by a lot. 5. Because the tines are adjustable, I can make sure everything fits in properly. Plus, the top shelf is adjustable, so I can raise or lower it depending upon whether the dishes are oversized or the stemware is tall. 6. There is no heated dry, but because it heats the water, it uses some sort of internal fan to circulate air for very dry dishes at the end of the dry cycle. This doesn't add any noise to the operation. 7. Last and most important, it looks good. Nicely finished and well built. I installed it myself (I have done this before), and had to make a few changes to the layout of the hoses going to and from the sink. Not a big deal at all.

    Quiet dishwasher

The reviews all said the rack design was lacking. Once we played around a little bit, we got them to work ok. Bowls seem to be the problem. For ours, spreading the racks slightly worked just fine, I imagine it would be different for each style of dishes. The dishwasher is very quiet, very quiet. Bought the matching fridge, the really dress up the kitchen- now we'll have to get a stove. Can't really complain about anything, we love both appliances. My wife wishes the settings weren't so complicated, I'm sure we'll get used to it. PS: our delivery process was a nightmare, ended up installing it myself, store Manager did what he could to make it right, & assured us they would rectify their issues- I HOPE SO!

I recently renovated my kitchen and bought this dishwasher. I also love the movable spires that lets you fit any large pot, pan or dish. It's so quiet and does an amazing job. I highly recommend this dish washer if you are in the market for one.

I needed to replace my worn out dishwasher and decided on the LG for two reasons: 1) good reviews and 2) I had putchased an LG gas range earlier this year and love it, plus the style matches. This dishwasher has many, many adjustments, the top tack is deep so even my tall wine glass fit without having to lean them over. It is so quiet I had to check to see if it was really running the first time I used it. The hybrid drying system works well, leaves no water marks or streaks (you MUST use a rinse aid however). The only negative I have is the tine sections on the lower rack seem to collapse with very little pressure, I wish they were a little stiffer.

    Hate this dishwasher

Bought July 2013 and have hated it almost immediately. The tines fall over and do not stay locked into place. The top rack is horribly configured and cereal bowls do not fit easily. Glasses on the top rack are jammed together. There is no heated dryer function so I'm forced to use a rinse agent on every cycle. If I run out, I know it immediately because the dishes are spotty and food particles are everywhere. It takes 2 hours, 30 minutes to run a regular cycle, which is waaaaaay too long, especially since it doesn't dry completely! And to top it off, only 8 months after purchasing I have a service call tomorrow morning because it won't drain. I would never buy this model or brand again.

    Quiet but doesn't clean well

This dishwasher is one of the quietest I have heard, which is a plus. However, the adjustable tines WILL NOT stay up, causing the dishes to fall over against themselves. I also have to practically wash the dishes before loading, or 25% of the bowls and plates do not come clean, even with the 'power' detergents. The cycle is very long (over two hours on normal). I would not purchase this again. I miss my old, loud dishwasher, that cleaned everything the first time, even with cheap detergent.

Great Dishwasher that fit a tight spot

This dishwasher fit the bill as it is about a half inch less tall than other brands which fit the available space in my kitchen. Other brands would have required me to either lift up and remove some flooring or I would have had to lift the counter top for installation. To top it all off, the controls are hidden nicely when the door is closed, it washes the dishes spotless and it is very quiet in operation; it's hard to tell that it is washing. Overall, an excellent buy. Free Best Buy delivery and installation due to a running promotion only sweetened the deal.

Worst appliance I have ever purchased

I have had this dishwasher about 3-4 months now, and have tried very hard to like it. This is the worst experience I've ever had with any appliance. There is nothing mechanically wrong with it, and no I didn't get a lemon. It just stinks! Here's a list of my biggest complaints: 1 - DOES NOT DRY!! Every single wash, the only thing I can do to have the dishes dry, is to partially open the dishwasher after it completes, and leave it open for half a day or so. Otherwise, even days later there is water all over everything. And yes, water spots all over everything. 2 - None of the various cleaning "packs" such as Cascade makes work with this dishwasher. The cover for the cleaning agent either does not open at all, or it opens partially and the cleaning pack only dispenses a small portion. The rest is a messy muck left behind and dishes DO NOT GET CLEAN. I ran/re-ran one 3 times and it never dispensed more than a small portion. Will have to start using liquid cleaners. 3 - The adjustable tines on the bottom rack -- thought this was a great thing to have vs. my old GE model. The reality is, these things fall over every time you set a dish in, whether you want them to or not. Very annoying. And they are misaligned in several places. 4 - Usually has a bad odor after each wash. I'm told this is typical of stainless steel dishwashers, but that doesn't make me like it any better. Understand that I scrub all food off every dish before it goes in the dishwasher. Especially for the price, this thing is the biggest waste of money I've ever experienced. There are no food clogs or anything of the sort causing these issues. Everything is set up properly. When the old GE model that came when our house was originally built 13 years ago FAR outperforms this model, that should tell you everything you need to know. STAY AWAY FROM THIS!

Worth the extra money for this quality dishwasher. We used to have to run the delay because our old dishwasher was so loud. We can run this one anytime because it is so quiet. Dishes are super clean. I like the silverware organization trays. Controls out of sight and reach of kids is great.

I love this dishwasher! I read other reviews about this unit not getting items dry. You have to make sure you use a rinse agent (just like any dishwasher that you buy recommends). Also, certain plastics won't dry completely, and they didn't either with my previous heated dry model. I love how easily the racks adjust. I did have an issue where my husband loaded a cookie sheet and didn't adjust the rack, so the spray arm would hit it. When we went to unload the dishwasher, we noticed that the cascade pack was only partially used and we had to move the rack up and redo the cycle. Came out great, this was due to user error. I have had this for about a year now and have never needed to clean the filter. I don't prerinse my dishes, I just scrape of the big chunks. Very easy to operate, load and does a great job of cleaning. And it looks great, too!

This dishwasher is amazingly quiet and does a great job. We love the look inside and out. Fit perfectly under our counter and have no complaints. We purchased a gas stove and microwave at the same time and both of them are great also. One change that would be nice is to have the displays on the refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher all the same color.

I have had 3 old dishwashers, including a Maytag that all fell apart or made weird loud noises after 3-4 years. So I just love this silent machine, It looks cool too. FYI I have seen reviews that coplain about the difficulty of installation and that it didnt work right and I believ it is becaus ethey did not pay a pro to get it insyalled correctly. Because ours is everything it is advertised to be. Best Buy did a great job btw.
