Frustrated....trouble with xfinity streaming app

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Tv for my kitchen because this model was listed on the xfinity website as being compatible with the xfinity streaming app. However, I downloaded the app and its virtually unwatchable because the picture keeps freezing. It’s like watching a slide show. I tried to fix the problem with Xfinity who said I needed to buy an xfi pod to improve my WiFi signal....another $119....I did buy it....no improvement. Finally, spoke with LG who said this TV does NOT have the proper hardware to run xfinity app because of its small size so now I should buy a Roku stick ...another $40...this tv is no longer a bargain!

I have a Pioneer Elite receiver that works and performs with no problems. My main TV, also LG, uses the HDMI-ARC under the Pioneer Main HDMI-ARC circuit. It works fine. The Pioneer uses a two output HDMI with one being the ARC and the other being a "SUB" circuit. Using that to send signal to this LG 24" is where it falls down. No matter which input to the LG 24" TV I use, the signal is intermittent. "Invalid Signal" or "Error - 2.0 HDMI" are so frustrating, I want to pack it up and put it in the closet. There is NO WAY to change to resolution on the TV or the receiver. Maybe a label saying that the TV will NOT work with anything over 720p. Since my Pioneer is 4K, I certainly wouldn't have gotten it. And there is nothing on the box or manual that show the resolution.

Ads are extremely loud because the volume for movies (conversations) need to be at the highest possible. Amazon prime video is better but not good.
