This is the quietest Dishwasher we have ever had and does an amazing job of cleaning. As far as drying, you would never know there wasn't a an actual drying element. Other than the water in some plastic lids, things are spotless and dry the next morning.

We bought this thing in June 2018 and it's officially died. It's leaked and water dripped into our basement and on to computer equipment. The rubber gasket along the sides and top is held in place by a piece of metal that is cheaply welded in place. This weld broke and the gasket won't hold. We realize $600 isn't a ton of money to spend on a dishwasher - but at the same time, we expected more than three years. The past two years we've been dealing with the bent metal gasket holder - trying to get by. Now the wife won't look at LG products.

This model LDF5545WW has amazing washing performance. The average wash cycle time is around 2 hours, which is very common on new dishwashers because they use very little water so the wash time is extended. There is an "express" wash cycle that can do a speed wash in about 30 minutes. This model does not have heated dry, which I love because it saves on the electric bill, but beware to buyers wanting perfectly dry dishes. It is virtually silent, the only noise that is apparent is the water swooshing sound very faintly. Pick up the owners manual if you are buying this appliance. There are some pieces of information about the controls that are not visible on the face of the appliance. Overall, I highly recommend this unit if you want excellent cleaning performance without having to rinse all of your dishes prior to putting them in the dishwasher. Love it!

Cleans dishes very thoroughly, quiet. I have not had any problems.

Read many reviews before purchasing and if the directions are followed, it cleans and drys very well - better than my previous DW. However, many reviewers noted how quiet it was - that they could hardly hear it - so I was hoping that it wouldn't be too much louder than my old one which was 39db. We even added the sound reduction cover from the old one on top of this one when we installed it but we can still hear all the cycles, and when draining it is really loud! The noise factor is why I've scored it a 4 otherwise everything else is great. Being on a fixed income we couldn't afford the lower db models so this seemed to be the best option for our budget and it really does clean all dishes and cutlery exceptionally well.

I use the auto-sensing wash the most, it uses the Night Dry option, this vents the hot air out of the washer throughout the night, leaving the dishes dry in the morning. The dishes are spotless with the rinse agent. It is quieter than our old LG dishwasher.
