Customers commend the 24" Front-Control Built-In Dishwasher for its quiet operation, excellent cleaning performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its capacity and sleek design, along with the convenient adjustable racks. A few customers also mentioned concerns about the fingerprint resistance of the stainless steel finish and occasional unpleasant odors.

Faulty product. Purchased in 2021 and two years later now Nov 2023 the pump and wire harness failed. Over $500 in parts to repair that are not under warranty. This forces me to purchase a new dishwasher. Won't be an LG!

I hate new dishwashers. How is something that is supposed to make your life easier so hard to engineer? We have a big family and routinely run it 4 times per day - and have to buy new ones more often than you’d think. After the last GE debaucle, li did a bunch of research and settled on this one - balancing price, quality (via reviews) and the always important availability.
It’s OK. It cleans well- which is the most important feature in my book- and it’s sort of quiet. Like pretty much all of them, it was Easy to install, controls are fine, ridiculously long washing cycle (2:15 on normal) but the biggest surprise was how wet all the dishes are (especially plastics). Don’t think the “extra dry” cycle that adds an hour (3:15 cycle) will help much- it doesn’t. The only thing that does is listening g for the goofy little tune it plays when it’s finished and running over there right away and opening the door. You have to do it while it’s hot or the excess stream will condense right back on to the dishes.
It’s not as bad as it sounds, I’ll take not drying over not cleaning any day ( hear that GE?!) but you’d think one day these folks would design a machine that both cleans and dries….

We may be a little biased since this unit is so much better than our 20-year-old, plastic tub washer. Now the question is whether this will have the same longevity. Ole Betsy may not have looked good but it did clean and it has worked for years.
Cleaning: A good amount of cleaning settings, but I've always found that I settle on a single setting and always use it since I'm a creature of habit. You can clean zones (upper/lower), do a heavy, normal or quick wash. We mostly put it on auto-sense. Even though it uses more energy to have it heat the water more since we found that it improved performance. The first couple runs on normal saw some food still on the silverware, on the normal run without the extra hot water. Switch to auto-sense and the hot water and haven't had an issue.
Space: There feels like there is tons of room in this. There are some tines on both racks that can be laid flat. On the bottom, this really opens it up to putting in large pots and big bowls. We can fit in so much more than our last machine, so we love it, but this may be less of a difference for you if you had a newer machine.
Drying: No heating element. We wash daily but do so in the evening, so we set it to night dry. We haven't put jet dry in and it has still done an admirable job. Plastic will not get dry since it just doesn't get hot enough. The metal tub will pull the condensation to it and away from the dishes, in addition to the fan blowing through. So if you don't use plastic much, I think you'll find the drying is solid.
Looks: Great stainless steel look. It does show up fingerprints fairly easily, but I don't know how it compares to other stainless steel units.
Value: We got it around the holiday sale time, so I think this was a great value but only time will tell.

This WiFi enabled dishwasher with quad-washer and true-steam is the most amazing machines I've ever owned. We've had this dishwasher for a little over a week now. We still regularly forget it's running because of how quiet it is!
Love the simplicity of the panel, the number of washing options & definitely love the lighting. We didn't have lighting in our previous dishwasher & I didn't think it was necessary, but it's helpful.
The racks are adjustable with adjustable tines top and bottom, top rack can be raised/lowered easily, and the third rack has a section which also can be lowered if needed!
We have never been happier!! Each product displays an elite level of quality and craftsmanship that will not go unnoticed.
I highly recommend LG and will continue to use their products for years to come.

I love this new dishwasher. It is sooooo quiet!! my old dishwasher sounded like a semi was driving through the kitchen. Not this one! I barely hear it. Inside, the upper rack can be adjusted if you need to fit larger casserole dishes or platters on the bottom. My dishes are so clean and it is easy to use. My husband installed it and he said it was very easy. I highly recommend this LG dishwasher. You won't be disappointed.

It is really a shame that this dishwasher is not better made. It cleans well, is quiet and has many handy settings. However after only one week it developed a crack in the door above the controls. The crack continues to get bigger and I fear will eventually allow water into the control panel. This is apparently a common defect that LG will not repair as they consider it cosmetic. I fear this one was not built to last.

This dishwasher is quiet, cleans very well, is simple to use, looks good, andwas easy to self install. My wife likes the fact that she can take the dirty dishes from the table to the DW, no pre-rinsing needed, then do a quick pre-wash until washing later at night. She also likes the dual sprayers to the top rack is cleaned very well. She also likes the discharge cleanable filter.

My old one had lasted almost 20 years before giving up the ghost. I have a smaller than average space and it limited the number of units I could use. I settled on this one for various reasons, but ultimately it was the best available in my price range.
PROS:
--It is so quiet compared to my older unit. I was so used to hearing it upstairs on the other side of the house.
--Yes, the drying cycle is 3:10 with extra dry on. However, I run it overnight or odd hours. No worries. Most dishes are dry. The only issue seems to be my mugs which hold water on top of them. In this case, it is the item in the unit and not the unit itself.
--Stainless steel inside so there is no smell or yellowing over time. My old washer was annoying to clean and smelled. I would have to run a wash with vinegar or finish every other week. There was no reason for this except age.
--Installation: the gentlemen were quick, quiet and professional. Everything was done and I was hovering a bit to ensure I knew what was going on etc. They explained everything, showed me what they were doing and were quite pleasant about it. The main installer actually showed me how to fix minor (super simple) issues should they come up.
CONS:
--The silverware unit is overly large. It ends up taking some space away from where dishes can be placed. I am looking at a smaller piece I can put in the washer itself.
--It is so much smaller on the inside compared to my older unit. This will be an adjustment for me. I have had to reevaluate how I put items inside it as well as how often I run it.
Overall, I am happy with it. If that changes, I will update this post.

The LG LDF5545** dishwasher does just what you want it to. It cleans dishes well and so quietly you forget it's running. The adjustable top rack allows you to move it up or down to add head space above the top rack or for the bottom rack to tailor-fit tall items. It also has adjustable tines that fold down to fit larger dishes. It comes at a very affordable price and has no negatives that I've found in the month I've used it.

Having outfitted most of our kitchen with LG appliances, this dishwasher does a great job, but with some of the same UI/UX issues we noted on the Oven/Microwave combo. LG really needs someone to review their User Interface and User Experience before sending this out.
First: Controls are lighted, but dim and can be hard to read. They should consider options to set the panel lighting brightness.
Second: Setting up the dishwasher for a quick wash is almost impossible. Most of the settings limit you to 2+ hours for a cycle, with one being 3 1/2 hours! There has to be a better way to set up your cycles for how people actually use dishwashers (see comment regarding UI/UX above).
All of that said, it's still does a great job, but it could be better

I have had this appliance for about 3 weeks. This LG-24” model looks great...really quiet and functions as intended. From the minute this appliance was installed, my kitchen immediately took on a modern look. The PrintProof Stainless Steel works as intended...easy to clean. This LG model is quiet and all setting work as intended.
Four star rating given due to... the front control panel is too sensitive...panel turns on when I walk by and graze door. Although this sensitive panel issue is by no means a show stopper. First full cycle ... conducted w/over night dry w/o rinse liquid... resulted in wet dishes and water buildup throughout washer interior and base
Followed up same wash cycle w/ rinse aid (Jet Dry)...wet dishes and water buildup issue resolved!
Overall, with the exception of the senitive control panel, this appliance purchase was a great buy for the price. Very pleased with applaiance look and performance thus far.

This dishwasher is super quiet compared to my old one of 17 years. No problem to install. Easy to use & does a great job. My only negative comment is the control panel. The panel sticks out from the counter about 1/2". It is quite sensitive so several times I have accidently turned it on by touching it, when reaching into the upper cabinet. Luckily it makes a sound so I can shut it off.

Looks great and has many (too many?) settings to fuss with. My unit malfunctioned about two weeks after installation, code AE, which meant there was a water leak. Well everything seemed dry. But you can't operate it when this occurs. Bummer. And it beeps and the LED lights are on all the time telling you about the error. Only way to stop was to shut off power at the circuit breaker. Warranty repair took about a week to get scheduled, which was not that good. The day before the repair was to happen I turned on the power to the machine and the error code was gone. Go figure. So I called the repair shop and told them what happened and decided that we would use it over the weekend and see what happened. It worked fine - so repair was put off. And then it errored out again in about ten days. The repair person found some looseness in the tub which he tightened up and we haven't had a problem for over two months now. Knock on stainless.
It really is remarkably quiet, you have to listen hard to hear it in the normal mode and it can't be heard from the adjacent rooms. Quite a change from the older GE model we had which almost drowned out the TV in the living room while it was running.
Overall I would say it is a nice item. The factory defect, although minor, once repaired seems to be a thing of the past. I would take a look at this if you are in the market, oh yeah, the dishes are very clean!

LG makes a great product. I have two LG TVs, as well as an LG washer and dryer. It only made sense to go with a dishwasher, too! So far, so good. I bought this to replace my HORRIBLE Maytag (made by Whirlpool which apparently bought this brand a decade or so ago). The old one was less than 7 years old and I've already went through 4 control panels due to water intrusion. Going for something nice and a very known reliable brand, I switched to LG. So far, I'm not regretting it at all. There are only two things "not" as good as the old one: 1) it is noticeably louder. I do not really care as I can just turn the TV up or simply run it overnight, and 2) there is a debris trap that must be emptied now and then. My old one didn't have that. Maybe this is a good thing as I presume it may extend the life of the drain pump. So, cleaning it now and then is worth it, and easy to do. I haven't tried any wireless controls yet, but I'm thinking it had either a Bluetooth or NFC setup. I wish it had wifi control or notifications pushed to my phone like my washer and dryer do, so I can know even when I'm not in the room within audible range. This is the only model that offers a black front to match my 90s era microwave and oven, and my gas stove and fridge. Anything else black is only offered as a stainless steel black, not gloss black like this one. Otherwise, they'd have got me for a few hundred more dollars going with a "premium" model offering. So, maybe rethink your color availability! I cannot wait for this thing to last at least 10 years. Should last 15-20 hopefully.

Cleans well. Holds more dishes then other I have owned. The rack is better organized. HARD to install ! Very tight fit as a replacement for a Standard "STANDARD" built in. I watched the install video from LG., very different then real life. Guess the producers used an all LG built kitchen with a scaled up instillation hole. Quiet , save for turbo mode.
I live next to a navy jet base . In turbo mode it will drown out a super hornet. Looks great in the kitchen. The buttons on the front are better then buttons on the top. Lastly there are too
many worthless "useless" features. P.S. Be sure to read the
install directions a few times ,or just drop the extra money to have the delivery guys install it.

I hesitated for years to replace a dishwasher I had with simple racks compared to a lot of todays dishwashers that complicate things. This rack display allows for simple placement vs some of the others.
Very easy to install after installation ran it the first time very quiet however at the end there was quite a bit of moisture left inside. If you want a dry inside completely you must turn on the extra dry button. From start to finish with the extra dry takes 3 hours. From what I hear from others that 2-3 hours is the norm for these higher efficient appliances now days. All in all I like the machine for the price of $674, 2 weeks later it went on sale , oh well timing is everything but dishwashers are not cheap with the covid there was not much choice to chose from due to the factory shutdown.
LG just delivered 50 dishwashers to BBY and I took what was available and glad I did , this is a nice machine.
I refuse to buy any samsung product again due to both my new refrigerator and stove both breaking down just after warranty. Read reviews from others and they had the same issues with Samsung junk!
