Customers commend the 24" Front-Control Built-In Dishwasher for its quiet operation, excellent cleaning performance, and ease of use. Many appreciate its capacity and sleek design, along with the convenient adjustable racks. However, some users note that cycle times can be lengthy, and there have been reports of reliability issues and sensitivity with the control panel. A few customers also mentioned concerns about the fingerprint resistance of the stainless steel finish and occasional unpleasant odors.

So far so good, I have been using this for months. It does a very good job cleaning. I have learned that since they removed the heating elements from the bottom of the inside, most newer units do not dry as well as one from 15 years ago. This is true, however there is a "extra dry" setting that activates an exhaust fan after the dry cycle to more fully dry everything. It seems to work best overnight, but many times I just use a towel on the items with water pooled on top of them. It is pretty quiet, the average cycle times can be kind of long (2-3 hours) but there is a turbo mode or using the water temp boost function reduces the wash time. The biggest negative I have encountered is cleaning the screen assembly, the underside of the top grey plastic cap tends to build up residue quickly (like 2 washes). I requires regular maintenance to keep clean.

We recently replaced all of our kitchen appliances with LG. This LG diswasher was replacing a relatively new Bosch low decibel dishwasher. We replaced the Bosch because all of our applicances are now black stainless. The Bosch was stainless and we hated the way the rack on the inside was setup. You couldn't fit much in it.
We love the looks and setup of the dishwasher. You can lower and raise the top rack in order to get larger things in it. The rack is able to accommodate plenty of items both big and small. You can fold some of the upward facing racks down in order to fit items flat on the rack. It takes quite a while to get things clean in this dishwasher, but they do come clean. If you want the dishes to be dry, you'll need to open the door after it's run to vent the steam. Otherwise everything will be covered in water.
I gave this dishwasher 4 stars due to the fact that it's louder than my previous dishwasher....by alot. When it drains it's extremely loud. Washing not so bad. I am guessing it's because the door does not have the same sound protection that the Bosch did. The door feels cheap and seems like it could break easy. My kid used to play with cars on our old dishwasher while we loaded it up. I won't let him do that on this one due to the fact that I feel like it may break. When the cycle is done, it plays some long drawn out song that lasts like 10 seconds....pretty annoying and silly. Seems like there is an engineer somewhere with some free time on his hands. Why not just use a beep like every other appliance on the market?
It's a good dishwasher for the price, but it does feel cheap and it's not exactly quiet when it's doing it's job. If you can looks past these cons here I think it's a good machine.

I researched dishwashers for several months and I finally pulled the trigger on this machine and am so glad that I finally did! This machine met my criteria for the perfect dishwasher...1) It's beautiful, sleek and modern looking 2) it cleans and dries dishes efficiently. BTW all modern machines take about 3 hrs. and there is a quick load, which is about one hour. 3) this machine dries dishes by using fans and evaporation, like the European machines. I did not want steam to exit machine and into my cabinet! (most of the machines I looked at do exactly this, which is crazy!) I guess it's not attractive to have steam vent on the face of machine, where it can't harm cabinets over time. 4) I wanted to have controls and timing display where I can see it during cycle. 5) collapsable tines in upper and lower racks 6) top rack is adjustable 7) quick load option 8) quiet 9) stainless interior 10) smudge proof stainless. 11) $600 range. Look no further, just buy it! I'm so happy I did.

Dishes come out sparkling clean but machine seems to take a long time to run a load - about 2 hours. The good news is that it is almost completely silent - I can't even hear it running unless I am right next to it. Placement of the racks is great, I have no problem fitting in large pans.

I really would give this a 5 but the racks seem plasticky for the price. Seriously this machine washes dishes great. It does take 2 hours on auto but everything is clean. It is very quiet. Hardly even know it's on. Install was easy.

I would have given this 5 stars because I love that it's so quiet, it's built well, has an excellent design with fold down tines in the upper rack, removeable silverware trays!! But...even with Jet Dry rinse aid and trying all dishwashing options, all my dishes have water spots. This may not be the fault of the dishwasher. I have hard water because I am on well water. In every other way, this dishwasher outperforms my 4 year old Samsung that was 2x the price!!

This dishwasher replaced one that had provided service for about 16 years. We took a long time looking at dishwashers before buying. A relative had the LG and said they were very pleased with it.
Our kitchen counter is only 25 inches deep so we had to settle on the dishwasher door extending slightly beyond the counter edge. (This has not been a problem.) The LG capacity for dishes, etc is amazing - we (two of us in household) only run the dishwasher about once a week - thank goodness we have lots of dishes. The LG makes our dishes, bowls, glassware, mugs look like new - sparkling clean. It is very quiet, you forget it's running. Great product. Love it.

I have owned this product for one month and I am happy with it. It is very quiet which I didn't really care about. It seems to clean dishes as good as my old dishwasher, but we do scrap plates and clean them with a scrub brush before I put them in. Be warned that all dishwashers are only expected to last for 3-5 years. I did a lot of research before this purchase and I was not happy with reviews of ANY dishwashers. We purchased a range and refrigerator at the same time we had to replace our dishwasher (our house had been hit with lightening) so I went with the LG dishwasher since the range had the best rating of all ranges. DO NOT get the most expensive dishwasher thinking that it will last longer because they will not.

We use our dishwasher often and very impressed with this one. It is nearly silent during operation. Dishes, utensils, and cups come out spotless. The top rack can be moved up or down, which allows you to fit taller items in either rack. This feature is remarkably handy! Most of the tines also fold down, which makes it easier to fit pans and mixing bowls. I initially wasn't too crazy about the silverware basket, but now I like it. They have organizers which fold up and out of the way if you decide not to use them or if you need to put something in there that doesn't fit through the holes (like scissors).

We researched a lot of dishwashers before this purchase. This dishwasher is not limited to a small corner where you can place unwashed dishes. You can place dinner dishes without pre washing on the entire bottom rack and it will come out sparkling clean. It's also very useful that the top tray is adjustable up or down for large cups. It's quiet but does take around 3 hours if using the drying option.

I had previously purchase another LG dishwasher the same brand from another company, after weeks of being delayed I canceled the order and went to best buy to look. They did not have the same model but they did they did have a model that was higher up for the same price I had originally paid for one at a competitors store. So we got a great deal. As for functionality we do not pre-rinse and the dishes come out sparkling clean. Has a great capacity as well we are able to fit more than our previous GE dishwasher. It is quite hard to tell when its running. Over all I would recommend this product and would purchase it again.

This dishwasher works great, providing you remember to put rinse aid in it. I love that there is an indicator telling me that I need to add more. Dishes come out clean, and dry, especially the Tupperware. If you don’t add rinse aid, the plastic ware doesn’t dry very well.
We have an open concept home, so I am pleased at how quiet the dishwasher is. You don’t have to turn up the tv, or talk over the appliance.
Some loads take up to three hours to complete, so it might be faster for you to hand wash them. Not sure yet if I have saved in my water or electric bills.
It has a lot of bells and whistles, I’m still learning the functions, especially the smartThinQ. I have an Apple phone, so I don’t think the SmartThinQ works well with it yet, even though there is an ios app for it.

I will start by saying that this dishwasher is very quiet so that’s a plus. The biggest turn off with this dishwasher is the buttons are hit very easily... you can power off your dishwasher on accident just by leaning on it. There is no pause or restart you have to start the cycle all the way over. That’s right I have no idea where my dishwasher was in the middle of a two hour and 28 minute cycle but because it was bumped we have to start it over. There is a “lock” button but it does not lock the power button. This is the first new dishwasher that we’ve ever had and I never ever thought that this would be a feature that wasn’t automatically included. The dishes seem to get clean and are basically dry after the cycle runs. I would not however buy this dishwasher again because of the power button issue.

Fist time ever having a dishwasher. Paid $738 after taxes. Glad to have one but already see some short comings.
Pros:
Design, black stainless steel looks good in our kitchen.
So far, does a good job cleaning dishes.
Cons:
- Pretty noisy. I was surprised at how loud it actually is and wonder how much louder others are if people are saying it’s quiet.
- Leaked after install and use. Luckily was able to tighten hose and seemed to do the trick.
- Seems loud.
- expensive. For this price I’d expect near perfect clean and dry dishes. The cleaning has been solid but drying is terrible. Brings me to my next point…
- doesn’t dry. Dishes come out wet no matter what cycle we pick. Have to hand dry almost everything after cleaning.
- cycles take forever. Couple hours every time.
This is my take after about a week of use. I’ll update as we progress.

Great dishwasher. We have not had any problems. Cleans well. Can stack very full and still gets them clean. If I had to choose one thing I would change is the controls on the front they are touchy can start it when standing in front.

I purchased a complete LG kitchen package to replace my pre existing whirlpool. This dishwasher is very quiet when it is washing my dishes compared to my old whirlpool that was extremely loud when in cycle. You do have to use a rinse aid along with the dishwasher soap other wise the dishwasher has a bit of a funky smell to it if not used within 2 to 3 days. Plus side is that its easy to use and quiet. Negative side is the smell. Even with it being a month old and the filter is clean you will get a funky (old milk) smell if you don't use the rinse aid after it sits for a couple days after the previous use.

This dishwasher is attractive as well as very good at cleaning dishes with very quiet operation. Only minor issue is that any time you get even remotely close to the front controls they trigger on. Because the dishwasher is in a spot where I am often standing or leaning to get into top cabinets, this happens several times a day. I have to then shut the power off or it will begin a cycle
