This has good options depending on the kind of dishwashing needs. The machine is also extremely silent that I had to keep checking during initial days to ensure this was actually running :)

Need better idea of correct products for spot free

We now have it figured out but it shouldn't taken us this long to figure it out to get the right combination.

Seems a little underpowered

I typically rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, but I've practically got to soak if not completely wash them before putting them in the washer, unless I want a lot of food stuck on to the dishes. Not sure if it is really doing its job or not, and I might have considered a different one if I had known.
