Almost a month since I paid for this, but I still do NOT have it!

The dishwasher broke less than 1 week after installation. Error code AE. Called LG per user manual and waiting already 2 days for repair call.

Dishwasher doesn’t dry the dishes and always smell like mold.

Didn't even last 6 months without issues - would NOT recommend to anyone - also the installation was a nightmare.

After the 5th email from best buy asking for review and asking them them to stop ill leave one.

I had the repair man here 4 times,awful dishwasher.Even the mother board was bad

The LG Dishwasher was very easy for my to install myself. Great directions.

No idea, can't get this dishwasher for another month.

Here's our experience after 2.5 years with this LG 5545SS dishwasher, using it almost every day at least once. The dishwasher is less than 3.25 years old since we purchased our condo with the dishwasher installed. The previous owner was single and lived in the condo about 50% of the time. The dishwasher was basically new to us. The biggest issues are listed first. - The front panel stopped working last night. Since we're not the original owners we can't get it fixed without paying for parts and labor. The original warranty is mainly for parts anyway. The front panel replacement is over $155. - About 6 months ago both racks have started to rust at the welds at the edges of the racks. Nothing sharp has been placed on the edges, and couldn't be placed at the rusted areas anyway since you wouldn't be able to close the door. The membrane covering the metal racks have worn through most likely due to sharp welds or poorly applied rubber. We have put knives on the middle of the racks and there are no cuts or rust through the membrane in those areas. Poor quality welds. The racks are over $100 each to replace ($200+ total) - The front panel controls would not be our first choice. If you use the counter space above the dishwasher the front panel controls are touchy and will trigger with the brush of clothing. - The indicator for when the rinse aid is out is inconsistant. - If you load the dishwasher wrong near the door, you may get leaking. Some Pros - It's cleaned dishes well. We scape our plates and rinse most dishes before putting them in. - It's fairly quiet. - Lots of options for cleaning, of which we use 2 functions most often. General Thoughts - This seems to be a features-rich, value-based dishwasher. Sure you get a lot, but for poorer quality where it matters - the durability. - We need to clean the filter once per month or you WILL get poorly cleaned dishes and bad smells. - The front cover is cheap as it was warped from day 1. - It takes a very long time for all the cycles. For the standard warranty it has and the probable labor costs to fix the items that would have been under warranty if we were the original owners, and the time to go through LG Support to get the work done, I'm not sure it's worth it. Buy the warranty extension? Sure, if you want to cover the labor costs, as I'm guessing somewhere in the 3-5 year range you'll need it for something.

Pros: Much quieter than expected, Dishes much cleaner than my old unit. Old unit I used the high temp scrub and dishes where clean. So far with the LG I use the normal setting, everything is noticeably cleaner than the old unit. Kind of a con. Maybe I just need to find a loading routine that works for me. Racks are good, but I need to be a bit creative in loading the LG. Old unit everything fit really well. Over time I'll probably find a way to load the DW that meets my needs. I installed it myself. Super easy if your a handy-person and know what you're doing.

The dishwasher is relatively quiet and does a decent job of washing dishes. It's able to hold a good amount of dishes, but it does struggle with heavier residue versus my old trusty Maytag. There are no built in drying elements. It only uses air to dry, so having rinse agent is required at all times. It will also take longer that you expect to dry the dishes. On the plus side, the dark stainless steel looks very good. My main qualm with it is the control panel buttons. They are finicky. I should've expected that with these touch-style buttons. The buttons finally died on me this month. I had to order replacement control panel part for it recently ($200). Easy to replace, but not a cheap fix. Overall, I'm not very happy considering I've only had it for a year. This is where I should've opted for the warranty.

Good Dishwasher that is easy to use and gets my dishes clean. Drying cycles were alright, but there is some room for improvement.

This is the best and most quiet dishwasher we have ever had. We bought this because of other LG products we have. Everything is great except the bottom rack is not as user friendly as our old Maytag. It uses very little water and we have never had dishes come out that were not clean. This is a great buy!

I purchased a dishwasher with installation. The tech sent to install the dishwasher was not capable of finishing the job and left with the drain hose leaking profusely. At one point the technician tried to wrap approximately three and a half feet of Teflon plumbers tape around a fitting to increase the O.D. enough to prevent leakage. I have since hired a qualified installer to finish the installation. Thirty minutes to repair Geek Squad's work and another ten minutes to properly install the drain hose. I've requested a refund for the $159.99 installation charge. It seems ignoring my calls is the way in which Best Buy wishes to handle my request. Oh, by the way the new LG dishwasher is great. Quiet and sparkling clean dishes!!

Looked good, but VERY flimsy and cheaply made. And it stunk, literally. Smelled weird from the beginning, even though I practically washed the dishes before loading them. Worked OK, not great. Quiet but again, smelly, even after clean. 1st PROBLEM: the door developed rust spots within a few months. Tiny orange rust specs all over it. Warranty service person suspected it was caused by the plastic wrap it came in--moisture underneath during shipping/storage may have caused this. LG insisted this was cosmetic and refused to replace the door. Then ignored my emails. HORRIBLE SERVICE!! If they had offered to do anything, this review may have been slightly different. Even the appliance repair guy talked with LG while standing in my kitchen, explaining the rust problem. It didn't matter how bad it was, LG refused to do anything. 2nd PROBLEM: 2 months after 1-yr warranty (this Nov), computer panel conked out. Thanks LG. You've taught me a valuable lesson. To NEVER buy an LG appliance again. I've gone back to KitchenAid and am amazed at the difference in quality compared to LG. Buyers beware. LG stuff may look pretty, but...quality and service are very uGLy. Avoid the costly mistake I made, having to buy a new dishwasher after only 14 months. dishwasher.

Purchased on 10/22/16 and at the time there weren't any reviews on Best Buy. Reviewed comments on competitor site and found very favorable reviews on this model. Best Buy had the better price and matched lowest price of online competitor. Went to store and the store only had older model but the salesman was very professional and there were no problems with getting this newer model. Delivered in 3 days and Best Buy just reduced the price again to match their current sale price. Dishwasher has been excellent and looks great!
