The dishwasher itself cleans great BUT the draws began to peel and rust after just 2 years. There's just 2 of us and we still wash a lot by hand so it was very disappointing to see the plastic coating peel off and rust accumulate. The front of the dishwasher also shows spots and streaks very easily and constantly needs to be wiped down with stainless steel cleaner. I would but recommend because of the peeling and rusting after such a short period of ownership and use.

Do not buy this dishwasher. After only 4 years of owning it, the dishwasher will not work. It starts counting down 4,3,2,1 and then just flashes display and won’t start. These have a problem with leveling and if even a little off, they won’t work. We adjusted the level as directed by LG support and it ran a couple weeks, but now back with the same issue. I won’t buy LG again.

Junk!!! Bought complete kitchen set (range, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher) two years ago and now the vario motor on the dishwasher and main board on the microwave need to be replaced. You would think that $4000 for a kitchen set would last longer than two years! And none of the is covered by warranty. Now I am selling this LG JUNK and going back to whirlpool

Was good while it actually worked. Lasted 2 years and then completely stopped working. Has been a kitchen decoration ever since.

We started having issues with the control panel very early on. The buttons are too sensitive. The cycles would randomly turn off. Now it is rare that it will even run a full cycle before the panel messes up and turns off the dishwasher.

DO NOT buy an LG product. I purchased an LG dishwasher 3 ½ years ago on sale for $429.00. Model LDF77774ST. It quit working the other day due to the main control board going bad. If you google this model and problem, it was a common failure on this model and others. Good news is, the warranty covers the circuit boards for 5 years, but doesn’t include labor. So, I called to schedule a warranty service call. Here’s where it gets ridiculous. First, you have to pay $125.00 up front just to reserve a service appointment. Then, as it was explained, if the problem was due to something other than a warrantied part, the labor charge would be between $65.00 and $175.00, plus the part, plus the $125.00 service fee. But, if it was the bad circuit board, the part would be covered, but there was a flat labor charge of $250.00, plus the $125.00 service fee, for a total of $375.00. I could not believe my ears, so I called back a little later, spoke to a different person, and was quoted the same amounts. I am not going to pay $375.00 for a $400.00 dishwasher, and will NEVER buy an LG product again.

I have had this washer for 2 years and its already leaking. I am surprised by this considering the name brand and how expensive it was. I am very particular about researching appliances for major purchases like this. The warranty is only for 1 year and LG will charge over $300 for a tech to and come fix. If you purchase, buy the extended warranty.

I purchased this LG dishwasher right when I moved into my new house. 3 years later, I can safely say that I’ll never buy another LG appliance ever again. This dishwasher has had so many issues in the last year. I have no choice but to purchase another one. And if you’re considering buying an LG appliance, Google what other issues people are running into with this dishwasher and dishwashers like it made by LG. LG will not stand behind their product(s). They’ll give you the pass-around in hopes that you just go away. If that’s not the customer service business model then one has to look no further than to all their customers on message boards forced to hire repairmen and/or problem solve their issues themselves due to LG pretty much saying “It may be a common problem, but it’s not our problem.” It’s going to be a GE Profile future for me and the rest of my appliances.

I would give it a zero if you had one. We just purchased it and the beginning it would not dry inside the dishes. They sent another one out which was already broken before I got here so that they could not install it. They delivered another one yesterday and in Florida. It is not worth a quarter it does not dry your dishes. When we called the first guy they could send out would be the 22nd and we are leaving on the 20th for Philadelphia. This unit is also a rental unit and cannot have repair man coming in and out whike there are renters. would not recommend anybody to buy this. Dishwasher has been a headache from day one now they’re not coming until the 20th but they can only give you from 7 to 7 and our plane leaves at two. The old dishwasher we had for years never had this issue and it was 20 years old and stopped working. This is one day old and I’m already want to send it back and get another one not this brand

DO NOT BUY. Skip the LG brand altogether when looking for any appliances. Not worth whatever money you might save. This unit is absolute junk. I purchased in May of 2019 and the unit had failed by March of 2020. LG, through several attempts, finally honored the "1 year warranty" and sent out a professional to repair the unit. This individual replaced nearly every part inside the unit, through 3x visits to my home and did get the unit working again. Several months later, the unit began failing randomly and the noise produced when it was functioning was unbearably loud. As of April 2022 the unit had failed again, and does not shut off unless the fuse is flipped on the control panel. I'm EAGERLY awaiting LG's legal department response to this lemon of a product. DO NOT BUY

Worked fine for 14 months. Suddenly, the front screen started flickering and eventually went completely dead. We have to turn off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds to reset it every single time we want to run it. Piece of junk.

Stop working in 3 years no one could fix didn't last very long

My dishwasher is less than two years old. The control lights starts flickering and then the machine shuts down mid cycle while full with water. Googled the problem, multiple other customers have same problem due to bad control board. Worst part is LG will send a redesigned board but they require you to hire a technician at your own cost to repair and won’t sent the board to you only to a technician! So you are forced to buy a new dishwasher if you don’t want to waste any more money on it. NO MORE LG FOR ME.

My 20 year old dishwasher recently broke so I made the mistake of buying this LG dishwasher to replace it. This is poorly designed, making it a pain in the neck to properly load it. Also, for some reason they put a huge, unremoveable handle in the middle of the silverware basket, making it ineffective. It's incredible that this is a downgrade from my 20 year old dishwasher. This dishwasher is a waste of money.

It is not true stainless steel and impossible to clean. I’ve had other stainless steel dishwashers that cleaned up great. This leaves streaks and spots and looks dirty. Cleans the dishes fine but the exterior door is awful. WD-40 works the best but even then, it’s marginal.

On the month following the expiration of the 3 year BB warranty, the control panel fizzled. Had to replace Thermometer and fuse to repair at HALF the price of the dishwasher.

Absolute junk. After a year and a half, the control board is cracking up, was told that was over a $300 repair, found out after a costly repairman visit that the slides on the top shelf weren’t retracting all the way so it would stop in mid cycle sensing that one of the shelves wasn’t shoved in properly. I use my dishwasher maybe 2 times a week and that’s it! I will nbe vet but LG again. Awful experience with a new LG refridge ice maker too. All bought at the same time. Been struggling with both for over a year and they’re 3 yrs old. AVOID.

Had it for less than 2 years and half of the time it doesn’t work. And now it just completely went out and the electric panel is broken.

I would never buy an LG anything again. Built to "last" - until a few days after the warranty runs out. Apparently, LG makes dishwashers that take extended breaks, flashing an "AE" error that was only fixed by (it seemed) waiting a number of days until some sensor dried out. It would stop working mid-cycle leaving you with a machine full of half-washed dishes and tub full of filthy water. The electronics failed on the front panel during the warranty period. And the cheap plastic front panel cracked. After less than 4 years, we are trashing this and buying a Bosch.

A dishwasher should last more than 5 years! Especially since we don’t use it everyday. Very disappointed in LG and their products!!
