I’ve been using my LG dishwasher for a few months now, and I’m beyond impressed. First off, it’s super quiet—you barely notice it’s running, which is a big plus in an open kitchen. The cleaning power is excellent, even on tough, dried-on food. I no longer have to pre-rinse everything, which saves both time and water. The multiple cycles give a lot of flexibility, and the Turbo and QuadWash features really make a difference. I also love the adjustable racks and fold-down tines, which let me fit everything from tall wine glasses to large pots and pans. The sleek stainless steel design looks beautiful and modern in my kitchen. Energy-efficient, easy to use, and reliable—this LG dishwasher is worth every penny. Highly recommend!

This machine is supper quiet and cleans dishes that have dried stuck on food. Love the top silverware rack as it keeps the silverware from rubbing together and getting scratched. Tow bottom racks are roomy and have plenty of room to stack dishes.

Great Dishwasher—Just Don’t Brush Past It!

This dishwasher is the strong, silent type—quietly handling dishes like a pro, and it fits a TON thanks to the third rack (a true game-changer). But let me warn you: the control panel has a sensitive side. Walk by too close? Beep! Small hands experimenting? Beep! And don’t get me started on the lock—it’s like solving a Rubik’s cube in the dark. The cycles are marathon-long (3+ hours?!), but “turbo” mode is a solid sprinter at 1 hour if you skip the drying. Overall, it’s a great machine that gets the job done…just give it some space and a little patience!

Excellent Performance and a Fresh Start with LG

I recently purchased/upgraded to the LDFN4542S, and I couldn’t be happier with the decision. This dishwasher is truly excellent, providing top-tier cleaning and drying performance. While some people might be surprised I stuck with the same brand after my last experience, the truth is that I was always very happy with the actual washing and drying results of my previous LG. Because the cleaning performance was so reliable when the machine was running, I decided to give their newer generation a fair shot. My previous unit was the LDT5678ST, which was a bit of a saga as that model was actually part of a class-action lawsuit. I had the control board fail within the first year, which the warranty covered, but the issues didn't stop there. the following year LG offered their extended warranty via email, so I purchased an extended LG warranty, and only six months after that, the board began failing yet again. However, because this happened during the pandemic when parts were incredibly scarce, LG ended up paying me out for the full cost of the dishwasher. Because of that payout, the dishwasher was essentially free for the duration I owned it. I managed to keep it limping along for another three years after the settlement, getting a total of seven years out of the machine. Recently, the motor started squealing loudly, so I figured it was finally time to retire it and get a new one. This new LDFN4542S takes everything I liked about the cleaning power of my old one and seems to have refined it. It is worth noting that this model does not have Wi-Fi capabilities, which in my opinion are useless anyway; I never used them on my old unit, so I don't miss them at all. The washing is great, and the drying performance is even better than I expected. It’s quiet, efficient, and handles tough messes with ease. After the long journey with my last machine, I’m optimistic that this one will provide the same great results with better long-term reliability. To play it safe, I also made sure to get the 5-year Geek Squad warranty with this purchase. That is another big positive point for me, as I’ve had great experiences with their service in the past. If you want a dishwasher that actually gets your dishes clean and dry the first time, this is a great choice.

We bought this LG dish dishwasher to replace the Samsung that came with our brand new house and it has been a year and we were not very happy with the Samsung at all so we went and bought a brand new LG and we are very happy with it and all the functions and different size rack positions in the quietness and just in general the way it works-Thanks Jim & Kenneta G

I recently purchased a Bosch dishwasher, and it’s been a game-changer for my kitchen. This machine is whisper-quiet, operating at just 42 dB, so I barely notice it running, even during late-night cycles. The sleek stainless steel design fits seamlessly into my modern kitchen, and the spacious interior, with its adjustable racks and third utensil rack, easily handles everything from delicate glassware to heavy pots. The cleaning performance is outstanding—dishes come out sparkling, even on the eco cycle, thanks to the PrecisionWash system that targets every corner. The AutoAir feature, which slightly opens the door post-cycle, ensures everything dries completely without a hint of water spots. I also love the smart connectivity; I can start or monitor cycles from my phone, which is super convenient when I’m busy. Energy efficiency is a big plus—it’s ENERGY STAR certified, and I’ve noticed a dip in my utility bills. The only minor gripe is the initial learning curve with the control panel, but once you get the hang of it, it’s intuitive. Overall, this Bosch dishwasher combines cutting-edge tech, stellar performance, and sleek design. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their kitchen cleanup!

Outstanding performance and impressively quiet. At 48 dBA, you barely know it’s running. The QuadWash system cleans thoroughly from every angle, even with stuck-on food, and the 3rd rack is a huge upgrade for utensils and small items. Stainless steel interior feels solid and well-built, and the controls are simple and intuitive. Reliable, efficient, and thoughtfully designed — exactly what a modern dishwasher should be.

I've had this dishwasher for about 2 years now and I haven't any major complaints about how it works. Like some others say, its a bit slow but generally dishes have come out expectedly clean; that is to say that some hard and dried on things sometimes still remain after a wash (its not magic). I do like the middle rack moving up and down; though there usually isn't enough space on the lower rack to really drop it down but when i can it helps having that extra space for tall cups on the upper rack. I do wish I would have gone with a model that had wine glass holders. The one real complaint I have, which I'm not sure if is a problem with all dishwashers, is the tips at several points of the racks have deteriorated away and exposed rusty metal. Well it probably rusted after breaking. I haven't looked into how to address this because I don't see it being a problem at this point, but I would fix it if there was an easy guided way to do so. I've learned a lot about dishwashers since I bought this: preheat the waterline before turning the dishwasher on (by running sink water till its hot) and add small amount of soap on top of the closed soap dispenser. Both tricks help with cleaning a lot with any dishwasher.

Definitely an upgrade from the low end dishwasher that came with our house. It's super quiet to the point that I don't even realize it's running. The only time I can hear it washing a little louder is when it's on one of the turbo/express cycles because it's using more water and the jets are spraying harder, but's it's still a lot more quiet than the cheap unit we had. Dishes are clean, dries decently, lots of space and tray set up options, lots of wash options. Would highly recommend! Exterior is nice and still haven't had to polish the stainless steel even after months of using it daily. Installed it myself and it was pretty easy. Took less than 2 hours.

Great dishwasher/ bad promo gift card experience

The dishwasher is great. We love the stainless steel tub, the third rack, and that it is much quieter than our last one. A word of warning regarding the promotional gift card, however: there was no information regarding needing to verify my email address in order to receive it. Three days before its unexpected expiration, I received an email stating that I needed to verify my email address in order to access the gift card and that I had until 12/13/25 to do so. Then I received the email stating the gift card was cancelled. I tried chatting and calling multiple times but kept getting disconnected on Best Buy's end. Today, after getting disconnected from my initial 10 minute phone call, I had another 24 minute phone call, which ended with a representative and then their supervisor confirming that the gift card was cancelled and could not be re-issued (despite the fact that I never had any communication stating it would be cancelled and have an email stating I have until 12/13 to redeem it). I have always been a walking billboard for Best Buy, telling everyone about my positive experiences and raving about the Best Buy credit card. However, the communication about the gift card and customer service with this situation were so poor that I do not think I will buy from here or refer anyone again.

Well I've had this unit for over a year now so figured I'd write a review. The Good -Get the job done the first time. Every dish has always come out clean even if I don't think it will. Overlap things with others and still comes out clean. Really impressed with how well it gets everything clean. -Love that the top rack has a lot of room for height adjustments if you have shorter plates and things but bigger things like wine glasses or tumblers. -Stainless steel internals is a really nice thing compared to the plastic I had before. The Bad -If you want everything to come out dry this probably isn't your dishwasher. I would say 95% of the bottom row will come out dry and probably 99% on the silverware rack, but the middle cups and misc rack is probably 60% dry. Even if you let it run for another 30min dry cycle it's not dry. After about 2 months of trial and error I just put it on the energy saver drying mode and save the power and 30mins since I know it's not going to be dry. -It's really easy to turn the unit on. If you just brush past the on button you'll turn it on. -For only "48dba" it seems a lot louder than my ancient previous dishwasher. Not sure if they went cheap on the door insulation but you hear a lot of water noice come through that area. Would I buy this unit or a unit like this again? Probably, I know for sure I wouldn't spend $400+ for a brand that starts with "B" just because it's 4dba quieter. And it doesn't leak like another brand that starts with an "S" so yeah it's served its purpose for the price range.

My last diswasher dies the Saturday before Thanksgiving and family was due to come in on Tuesday. I ordered on Saturday and it was delivered and installed by Monday. This is a definite upgrade from my previous Bosch. Its quiet, quick, washes well and dries perfectly. The racks are easy to adujst and you can do everything from large pots to delicate glassware. I use it most every day and zero issues. Delivery and installation were perfect. I would definitely recommend.
