Repair costs almost equal price of new dishwasher. Life expectancy for this appliance 10-15 years. Last LG appliance in my home or my rental home. If you purchase this dishwasher, be sure to get extended warranty.

I refuse to use the countertop on top of it because I am always afraid it will turn on. The cleaning is okay, and expected better from an LG appliance.

This model features touch-sensitive controls designed for ease of use, but we recommend enabling the Control Lock feature to prevent accidental activation. Here’s how you can activate it: Press and hold the Control Lock button (or the button assigned for locking, as indicated in your owner’s manual) for 3–5 seconds. When the Control Lock is active, the panel will not respond to unintended touches.
Running the dishwasher on the Heavy or Turbo cycle with a quality detergent and rinse aid can improve cleaning performance. Ensuring the filter is clean and loading the dishwasher properly can also enhance performance.
