Dishwasher is quite and cleans well. However, this will be the second time I'm going to have to have the control board replaced. It starts dinging and the display flashes and glitches.

Worked great... For two years then parts broke

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

We loved this machine for the first two and a half years we had it . But then it started making really loud sounds which we discovered meant that the water pump broke. (and this seems like a known issue for LG dishwashers) A new pump costs between half and a third of the cost of a new machine which is incredibly frustrating given that LG knows this is a poorly designed part in the dishwasher. Of course the warranty has already passed so we need to decide if to buy a new part

Buyer beware LG dishwasher model LDFN3432T.

Purchased this dishwasher as a set of 3 appliances from Best Busy June 29th 2022. The dishwasher model LDFN3432T had the heating element fail November 2024. Replaced myself but the element was expensive as it was part of a larger component. Dishwasher has run for 3 months but just popped up AE error code. I'm done with LG appliances. Do not purchase this model dishwasher!

    Dishes never dried out

Diahes never dried out once the cycle complete. We tried extra dry option, nightly dry option but water stays in the inner door and over dishes. Sometimes water stayes on the bottom of the tub. Also On off button is very sensitive.

Drying performance is directly affected by the amount of heat that remains in the tub after the heated rinse is performed. If your dishwasher is far away from your home’s hot water heater, it may be necessary to run the hot water tap in the sink before starting a wash cycle, to ensure that cool water is purged from the hot water lines. This will ensure your dishwasher has a consistent supply of hot water from start to finish.

Using the High Temp setting also aids in keeping the inner drum temperature and dishes hotter before drying begins. LG dishwashers are designed to be used in conjunction with a rinse aid. Using a rinse aid will maximize the amount of water that has already been sheeted away from the dishes before the dry cycle begins. If a rinse aid is used and the performance still needs a boost, adjust the amount of rinse aid used. 2 is the default setting, but if necessary set the level to 3 so more rinse aid is used.

Water tends to bead rather than sheet of plastic and nonstick surfaces, making them more difficult to dry. If washing plastic items in a Normal cycle, select the Extra Dry or Night Dry option or both for better drying results. When the rinse aid is empty, the Extra Dry option is selected automatically.

Allow the dishwasher to completely finish the dry cycle before opening the door. If the door is opened in the middle of the dry cycle, the heat that is necessary for the hybrid dry system to work will escape. This will cause all of the dishes inside to remain wet once the cycle finishes. ^Jennifer LG

Terrible Quality and unhelpful Customer Service

Extremely Disappointed: Terrible Quality and unhelpful Customer Service. Besides that the panel broke within a year and poor cleaning quality. The front door constantly looks dirty (spots, water marks and etc. ) Nothing helps to clean it. As per LG customer support the appearance and quality of it is "normal" at the same time they agreed that it is not. No response from customer support after numerous escalation to a higher department requests were made. The unit is not up to the standards promised by the manufacturer.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - GO BOSCH

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

1 star and I mean it. I bought this dishwasher in basically June 2022, roughly halfway through October 2023 the dishwasher circulation motor is whining/going out. That folks is 1 year 4 months before it required an $300 repair. I read reviews and thought this dishwasher was great - now that I am researching the symptoms this problem is INSANELY common with the circulation motors on LG dishwashers and all around 1-2 year marks. $300 is half the price of the Dishwasher - I REALLY wish I had gone with a $900 Bosch.

Not a true 10 year warranty

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Beware of the 10 year warranty on the front of dishwasher as it leads you to believe things are covered that are not. After just a few years of use it makes a very loud roaring sound, Had a tech come out and to fix was not worth the price quoted with parts and labor. The part in question was not in the warranty. Not happy with this LG product or the help i got from LG. Many post inline about the issue stated

Hello there, Ron. We apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced with your LG dishwasher and for any confusion regarding the warranty. Here's some information to address your concerns:

Warranty Coverage: It's essential to review the specific terms and conditions of the warranty to understand what is covered and what is not. Warranties typically cover manufacturing defects and specific parts, but not all parts and issues may be included. If the issue with your dishwasher was not covered by the warranty, it's disappointing, but it's important to be aware of the warranty's limitations.

Loud Roaring Sound: A loud noise coming from the dishwasher could be due to a variety of reasons, such as a malfunctioning motor, pump, or other components. To assess the issue properly and determine the most cost-effective solution, you can consider obtaining multiple quotes from different technicians or repair services.

Customer Service: If you haven't already, you can contact LG's customer service at (800) 243-0000 to discuss your concerns and experiences. They may be able to provide further assistance or guidance regarding your dishwasher issue.

Online Communities: It's also helpful to browse online communities and forums where users share their experiences and solutions to common issues. You may find useful tips from other LG dishwasher owners who have encountered similar problems.

We appreciate your feedback and regret any dissatisfaction you've experienced. Your input is valuable, and we hope that LG's customer service can assist you in resolving the dishwasher issue or offer guidance on potential repairs. Thank you for choosing LG. ^Jolly LG

    BE CAREFUL

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The machine itself is good the only BIG issue with it is the buttons. My is in a very high traffic area and we stand in front of it all the time, and with our bodies we can turn the buttons on, it will start the machine by just rubbing the start button and if you have little ones, they can easily play with the buttons and turn the machine on. It is very annoying all these buttons turning on and off just by standing close to it.
